Now I remember that they mentioned a world tour a couple of times before. Did they mean this USA tour or something bigger with the whole cast same as KP & 4 min?🤨

Yeah, nobody is irreplaceable in entertainment industry. There will always be next best thing; better, younger, shinier, more talented, more intriguing… Too many options to choose for too short attention spans… No matter the outcome of this mess, they had their moment and they ruined it.

Eh, if GIR has a strong case against them, then they would have no problem at the court no? Of course, I don’t know the contracts but we know one side accused the other with breach of contract and GIR claimed that they mistreated Smart, correct? Then they both need to prove that if they go to court.
I know you are emotional and apparently protective of Smart but I just wrote what I see so far. GIR handled the whole process greedily, terribly and amateurishly so this is the result which harms Smart the most.

And it seems like they will sue GIR&Smart for breach of contract. GIR better have something to present to the court other than those manipulative and sentimental announcements for fans. They better have money for the legal fees, investment for Smart’s idol career and lots of management skills to save his acting career which definitely will NOT involve WeTV (Tencent) in near future…

I think their story will spread over time… Maybe we will see Trin in Paris twice. First alone (and with that woman) than with Thanwa later… Hair changes might be a part of it?

I think so? The other guy looks like Trin to me (or I want him to be Trin😂)But Thanwa’s hair seems shorter in that scene (Either there is a time skip or they ditch the hair extensions in the water😅) Then I remember Paris shoots, we didn’t see much Mile in costumes but his hair was shorter in those too. And he seems less hippie… So maybe there is a time jump where Thanwa has shorter hair🤔
I hope they release another trailer where the focus will be on the story. Actually it would be great if they release a couple of short scenes as we approach August.
They are very secretive about the story but it would raise the hype if we get to see a bit more…

It is announced that there will be a small tour of Thai culture promotion in USA, 3 major cities in Los Angeles – Miami – New York City on 7-14 July. They announced Apo as the first artist of the group. I assume Mile will be next not sure it will be mainly Shine cast since first announcement says "Meet top actors from popular Y series"

For a PR stunt to be successful, at least one side needs to make a gain out of it. I don’t see such thing here.

Looking from a strictly bussiness perspective, GIR is acting not only as greedy and stupid but also as amateurs here, imo. Smart was becoming one of the top hot actors of WeTV/Tencent. They could have a long term plan as using his hype to build him a steady fandom and using it to highlight his music projects, instead of that, they immediately wanted to make a profit and messed with his acting duties. Now everything is a mess, damage is done, his acting career is in jeopardy, he lost at least half of potential fans etc etc. And sorry to say this but GIR does not seem competent enough company to get him a good idol carrier out of all these. So… what was the point of all these drama?

According to Thailai’s announcement, there are serious problems between them and Smart and his agency.
I don’t think there will be a second season with them under these conditions which is unfortunate.
Sudden fame doesn’t mean much as long as you don’t secure your fan bases first to take drastic steps like these. Especially if you are accused of breach of contract.

I am happy Punpun is in Shine too! I get to know her with Jet Lag and her energy with Mile is very good there.
And we have Moira! She is supposed to be an important role in Thanwa and Trin’s story but we didn’t see her in the trailer, no?
Actually, we didn’t see much in the trailer about the story. It was to set the tone and introduce the characters imo. Curious if they will release another trailer before August. .

Trin and Krailert seem to be brothers? Same surname and all. Kraiert seems to be a queer also and a soldier who is being pushed to an arranged marriage. And he is probably the one who accepts and live his sexuality more than Trin and he might also be the one who accepts his fate…

I think the confusion is about Thanwa and Trin’s close scenes with other characters? Why though? Thanwa is a hippie…clearly. Do you happen to know the concept of hippies? And he also seems to be the frontman of a famous rock group. He is basically the epitome of Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll 😃
Trin is (probably) a closet case. Either he accepted his sexuality but hiding it or still struggling to figure things out. It is clearly their journey to figure out themselves and find each other as far as i see. Their scenes are few but they seem lovely to me. I mean have you seen the kiss? That is probably the tip of the iceberg.
It is probably a more complex story than a standard BL which is why they emphasize that this is NOT a BL…
In general, I liked the vibe, I like the cinematography, actors look good. Love MA last shot in the dark at the end (they look so damn good but that is not news) it is refreshing to see they changed the roles, Apo is the uptight-serious one this time.
I really liked Thanwa, Mile especially did a good job. The look he gives after his father’s slap is one of the scenes that sticks in my mind.

It wil start on 2 August 2025 and 8 episodes(?)! They also said in the press conference that there will be a world tour including USA.

I saw Mile & Apo’s pictures in character on Twitter… Damn they look GOOD.

Young actors of BoC will also participate in the Press Con so it is kind of the announcement that they will be in Shine. Let’s see who else will join out of BoC.

Yeah, KP has secured its spot as a bl classic and it still opens many doors. Let’s hope Shine will succeed in its own way and take things further.

After screaming at the press conference announcement, the partners logos on the posters caught my attention, we have known most of them but together they create a strong collection:
WeTV: they will probably have worldwide rights and broadcast the uncensored version.
Channel 7: it is one of the oldest and most well known tv network of Thailand. They broadcast a censored version of Kinn Porsche for the general audience. I assume it will be the same with Shine. BoC clearly aims a wider audience by collaborating with Ch 7, not just online bl audience.
Tero entertainment: it is a mass media and entertainment company in Thailand. It organizes and promotes concerts, owns record labels and produces films and television shows. If boc is still planning a world tour, they might handle that too.
THACCA - Thailand Creative Culture Agency: it is also a part of government that handles to promote Thai culture worldwide as soft power.
The Department of Cultural Promotion plays an important role in promoting and presenting the Thai arts and culture.
Ministry of Culture, well… no need to explain that.
You can see that they aim big with Shine and there will be sponsors too. Some of Apo and Mile’s brands as ambassadors will be in there, I am sure.
