Oh we have Cast & Credits Update, thank you for letting us know that Krisda is involved in this project 😂 Should we hope for the reveal of full-cast? (I never learn and expect for more… still😅)
Im sorry you are getting spoilers and I understand your POV regarding them completely because I hate them too.…
I wasn’t talking about myself, fast track mess with the focus on current episode and effects the world trending and engagements in social media which is smt that actors and director really cares about. Boom said that he doesn’t agree with fast track thing either and ask everyone to focus on current episode.
Can we please be careful with making comments on ep 10? Please put them in spoiler. Many will not watch with fast track. If there will be 2nd season,I hope production company finds a way to get rid of this ‘fast track’ thing. Episode views and comments mixed with each other thanks to WeTV’s greed.
This is NOT bl. And as far as I see from the clips, Mile’s character Katha is bisexual and his steamy scenes with man AND woman are for comedy. That is it.
In Jeff Satur’s concert, Apo said that they were shooting until 4 am previous day. He was at the set before the concert, he was going to turn back set after the concert. Mile also continues to shoot both Shine and Jet Lag for the next couple of months. Apo also said that Shine will be out in 2025 definitely, my guess is winter 2025. Hopefully they will release a trailer in summer though
Some notes from ep 8: 1-Sasaeng storyline… the scenes with her were disturbing as it should be. With real situations such as touching without consent, invading their personal space and privacy, coming to their doorstep (I remembered Kim Taehyung’s case when he suddenly found himself in the same elevator of his apartment with his sasaeng, she tried to give him a marriage proposal letter in the elevator) and reached to a point of blackmailing their idols/actors/celebrities… Madness levels up as it goes. It is also a reality that some of them start as a genuine fan. Then in time, they start to think that they own their idols, or should I say, the idol owes them. They gave the idols their time, attention and money and in return they want idols behave the way they want (and most of the time, it means no private life no relationship etc etc) In short, they need to "behave"! Even the smallest thing can get them into a downward spiral so intense love can turn into intense hate in an instant. It means there are thousands or millions out there expecting things from you according their own views and beliefs. You can be punished by simply trying to live your life in private. I appreciate they showed all of that. In sasaeng mind, she is loyal to Akin and wants to "protect" him but from outside how creepy all of that looks. Especially when they compare her to a normal fan in the market with back to back scenes. My only disagreement is the resolution of this storyline. I see where they are coming from but imo all the intrusion of privacy needs punishment according to the severity of the crime. Every crime needs a punishment no matter what.
2- Maybe it is just me but I see Jin’s body language changes as episodes go (it is a stark contrast to his first scenes in ep 1). Especially in ep 7-8 (and 9). It gets more domineering, either in a good way (entering the room and hugging Akin from behind in this episode) or threatening way (around Jonny any time) depending on the situation. Smart is tall, he uses his body to his advantages very well and directing also focus on that when it needs to. The way he towered above Akin in ep 9 elevator scene was very different than their other scenes.
Boom / akin is so hot, he looks like hyunbin to me.I don't understand what and with whom is the date that akin…
It was with that blogger/photographer. In the park, he threatened Akin to release the clear photos that show Jin’s face. Akin promised to give him smt more sensational if he doesn’t release those pics. Later, Jade learned the deal and got angry at Akin, he said the guy might want anything over the line (sex or naked pics etc) but Akin didn’t care. In that scene he was going to meet with guy to learn what he wanted.
I see that the scene Jin coming from behind and hugging Akin is one of the fan favorites in ep 8. And I agree. It is a simple scene but shows so much about both characters, their personalities and relationship. These kind of scenes give more depth to the characters and shows the silent communication/connection of the actors and the level of detail the director pays attention (The ringing sound that Akin hears stops when Jin hugs him) These small and silent moments can pop up next to dramatic and erotic scenes. It is one of the reasons of the success of this show.
The summary of Akin’s mental state on ep 9 is: love is madness. It is blindness. From being obsessed with being best actor to giving up on it and doesnt care what happen to himself as long as Jin is safe. The leap Akin took for love is crazy. Not even one sane thought in his lovesick mind.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment and for bringing attention to an important issue. I would like to respectfully…
My main point was, if bl world is putting on a positive/romantic spin of abuse for years, and it continues still because there IS a demand. Fans are not out of the trends, they ARE the trend makers even, they have responsibility too. Of course I am aware that it is fiction, I consider myself mentally healthy to make the distinction but all the fictional works are rooted to real human emotions, good faiths and wrongdoings etc. no? And they are consumed by real human beings. Anyway, this is very looong discussion, better keep the focus on Top Form😉
I saw the concept photos of Boom and Smart, checking fans reactions about it. should I assume another collaboration is possible? Because I am full on board for that😃 I would say just go as original as possible for bl world. Their acting and chemistry would handle it imo, with a good director, script and bts crew of course. Will Mr Boss Wasakorn be available, for example?😇 After Top Form’s success, they will have more sources for next production hopefully🤘🤞
I am not sure if I watch the same scenes with some people here. Jin clearly said "you didn’t do anything wrong" not because he thinks Akin did smt wrong. Because Akin was blaming and beating himself about it, imagining the worst. That is why he came to Jin and wanted to end things with him. That is why he resisted when Jin said "I love you" Jin was assuring him that things were not as terrible as Akin imagined. It was not about Jin, it was about Akin. What he supposed to say to a person who thinks he was r*ped and blaming himself but it didn’t really what happened? What happened was not Akin’s fault. And that is what Jin said. If you want to be on victim’s side then be on victim’s side by understanding their state of mind. And show me a bl series where there was a scene like this. Where characters clearly acknowledged assault is terrible and damaging, not romantic or an act of love which is a theme deeply rooted in bl culture (even source material is an example of it) The main problem is turning Jonny into a sympathetic character but this is not just this show’s problem, it is bl world problem because there has always been a demand for it. Romanizing r*pe and assault needs to stop in bl world. YES. Same with finding red flag characters "hot" which is mostly on viewers. "I fell in love with a red flag’ thing needs to GO. So I hope you aren’t "in love’ with some red flag character in some other bl show. They deliver when there is a demand. Don’t act like fans don’t have a part in it.
You don’t need to feel bad for Boom, he seemed pretty happy to me. And find me a more supportive partners atm. Check bts of ep 6 for example. Sorry but this is nitpicking and creating drama out of nothing.
We saw a different side of Jin in ep7. That he knows the real life more than Akin. He knows the streets and probably met all kinds of people through different jobs he had. He figured out Johnny once he cooled down, had no problem blackmailing him, insulting him and record him. He is nice by nature AND by choice but he knows how to play dirty when he needs to. So at one point, if he has to choose his career vs Akin, he will have no hesitation. He has survived before fame he will survive without it. He enjoys acting and entertainment but those don’t define him. I like his dgaf attitude in that sense.
THIS. I have been thinking and feeling this too. It feels so authentic and I believe 100% that these two people…
Yeah, it is kind of luck that actors can connect and like each other enough to be comfortable. But it also needs good communication with each other to work as a team. Director is also important to remind actors to this continuity. So all parties are doing their job very well here :)
On the theatre stage, Akin in his elements, doing his favorite thing in the world: acting. Acting and his grandma (who introduced him to acting) were all he had. But now he is not happy on the stage. He is tormented. He has to act with his abuser and he cannot handle that so he channel his thoughts and focus on Jin. But Jin is not with him anymore. So Akin did what he does best to try to reconnect with him again: act. But this time he act on his true feelings, he used acting to say things he couldn’t say to Jin. Akin is a firm believer of that famous Shakespeare quote: "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts." He acted on AND off stage for years, hiding himself behind an actor mask. He was comfortable in that, he is professional after all and he is in full control of his emotions and body. But life is not all about it. Not anymore, now acting stays where it belongs, on stage and in front of cameras. He has a life behind the scenes now. He is learning to be himself. It is confusing, complicated and painful sometimes but it is worth it. AND, Jin is on the front in both. For acting, his biggest rival and his lover in private. In a way, Jin connects and seperates the two sides of his life. That is why his letter to grandma is very telling and sums his thoughts-feelings up very well: "To Grandma Maria, Me at the age of 29, I have just realized that when we feel so much for someone, it makes our life so complicated. It’s not like when I act in a drama. It is uncontrollable and confusing. It feels like I am not the same Akin anymore. But even so, I don’t want to run away. I still want him by my side and always hold me tight. Because since I met him, it made me realize that my happiness isn’t just about acting. Jin is both the one who matters most to me and my rival. But when the work is over, Jin takes care of me in everything. I think I have met the one that you always told me about. I don’t know what the future holds, how long this happiness will last, I want to freeze this moment forever. Do you think forever is possible?"
One of my fav things about Akin and Jin is that they really look like a couple in love. The body language, closeness and constant connection with hugs, touches, kisses is apparent all the time. It is not overact either which might look over-performed and fake. It looks authentic and natural, just the right amount. That is also different from many bl couples (or any screen couples) who kiss when they need to then hang out as bros for the rest of the scenes. I am not judging anyone, since this depends on the comfort levels and intimacy is not easy to bring out (and not everyone is good enough actor to give that feeling). I just wanted to point out how nice to see two actors who are secure in themselves and trusting each other to max level. The production had jackpot for getting Smart and Boom as Jin and Akin and they connected so well. Big applause to the director and set crew who make the environment comfortable for them.
Should we hope for the reveal of full-cast? (I never learn and expect for more… still😅)
