Title A Bittersweet Life Spoiler
I don't mind revenge movies, but this one failed for me. For the ML to be the cool, enforcer (killer) he came across as inept at times and naïve, maybe a little insecure. I get he felt he had nowhere to go once he started on his path of revenge, but dude, seriously, you never stand that close to your enemy or let him put his hand in his pocket. He deserved to get repeatedly stabbed. Bullets will go through a table. And standing out in the open during a gun fight is a suicidal move which I get was probably his intention. No motivation for this woman to be dating the old gangster and cheating on him with another. Even for a revenge movie I needed the slightest inkling of why the ML was so attracted to her. LBH gave a good performance, but for me that's all this movie had going for it. I wasn't invested in his character so his death didn't affect me.

First of all, I love your articles because you loved Goblin and Eternal Love (TMOPB) and aren't afraid to admit it. Hard to find anyone around here who loved both of these wonderful dramas. It can be a lonely club on MDL. Poor Goblin gets lots of trash talk but I figure Kim Shin is tough enough to take it and if he can, I can. :)

Eternal Love of Dream: Too many dramas under the bridge for me to remember all the details, but I don't even remember an infidelity storyline. The only thing that truly bothered me about this drama was the second female lead. I found her horribly annoying. And I was disappointed that 4th Brother was recast, even though he didn't have much screentime. I'm also wondering if they were setting us up for a part 3 with some of the underused characters in this one. If you liked TMOPB I would encourage you to forge on a little longer. I didn't like it as much as TMOPB (Ye Hua, Mo Yuan, Bai Qian, and all the brothers FTW ❤ ), but I did enjoy it. I would have cut the episode count down and moved the story along quicker but I say that about most long cdramas.

DOTS: I dropped after the second episode. I may go back sometime to it, but it didn't pull me in despite the stellar cast.

Pinocchio: This is in my PTW. I'm okay with a darker/sadder storyline, but more ambivalent about the leads.

Forest: I got through the first two episodes and one day intend to go back.

With the exception of Eternal Dream, my unfinished drama angst is similar to yours.

And finally, " They wouldn’t watch one of these dramas if Vengo Gao tied them to the couch and hand fed them Double Stuff Oreos between episodes (um… that sounds fun)." Yes, yes it does. ;)

Pros for me: If I watch a drama as it airs, which isn't super often, it can be a fun group experience. "Who did it? What was she wearing? Oh, my goodness how hot is he or that kiss?" etc. When a drama busts it can be cheap group therapy. "Why??? What were the writers thinking? What the heck kind of ending is that?"

Cons-The biggest con for me is that by the time a hyped drama finishes airing if I save it to binge, I feel like I've already watched it because of the good people on the feed who won't use the spoiler tag. I've only been on MDL for a year, but this plays out repeatedly. To this day I haven't seen Extraordinary You because the feeds were plastered with pictures and posts about it. A lesser con of the hype machine, but still annoying is the people who will shred a drama because it was unable to live up to earth shattering expectations and unrealistic hype.

I try to keep my expectations low when I start a drama, no matter how much it has been hyped. Honestly, I think I enjoyed dramas more before I joined MDL because I didn't feel like I had to justify loving or hating a drama to anyone. I lived in the quiet little land of no hype, just taking dramas as I found them. I wouldn't give up the camaraderie, entertainment, information, and joy I get from my MDL friends and the feeds for anything, but I do feel like I lost a little, too.

The women didn't have a lot to do and they reused the same battle scene at least 12 times, the music wasn't great but the story and acting was compelling. Compelling enough for me to watch 80 episodes. :)

Title Mothra 3
Mosura is female again (according to the subtitles). Hooray! Another movie clearly aimed at younger children. The writers failed to explain some things and connect the dots on others, but I don't expect a lot out of these popcorn movies. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
On Miss Sherlock Jul 24, 2020
Title Miss Sherlock Spoiler
I was looking forward to this female version of Sherlock and Watson, but it ended up as a swing and a miss for me. If I hadn't watched the BBC's Sherlock I might have rated it slightly higher. I didn't mind a more emotional and less arrogant Sherlock. I could handle the teddy bear Mycroft, instead of the guy who sees others as goldfish. Most of the cases didn't seem to require a super genius consulting detective. The bland as plain oatmeal villain was a big minus. What hurt this production the most for me was Wato/Watson. Instead of the stalwart friend and competent partner, she felt (to me) like an emotional wreck. Watson gave up being a doctor? Though not the intellectual equal of Sherlock I should have felt like Sherlock connected with her as a kindred spirit and I never felt that connection. Sherlock in any form is never a warm and fuzzy character and has trouble verbalizing feelings for Watson, but we know he is devoted to Watson. For me, there weren't the kind of scenes I needed to feel any real chemistry between MS and Wato leading to the kind of friendship I would expect from them in any version. Actually kinda bummed I didn't enjoy this as much as I had hoped to.

Title Run for Love Spoiler
I would disagree with the lesbian tag. I think the wife ended up with the husband's heart and his mistress was attracted to his heart and the wife was affected by his memories as well. Not true lesbian love as the two were only attracted through the man they both shared. The wife couldn't live with his betrayal and the end of their love and his life, and his memories, so she killed herself. Maybe she didn't want to share him anymore as well.

I actually liked the stories, especially #1, #3, #4. The stories took us through the beginning of love, ending of love, rediscovering love, love for others and selfish love-not necessarily in that order. ;)

I only finished this because of that sexy beast Otani Ryohei. Fu and Mizuho were way too immature for me.

Obvious pandering to it's young audience, especially in the first 30 minutes. At it's best when Mosura is battling the three headed flame breathing monster. My girl looks out for the environment and kicks out rowdy trespassers. Humans beware!

Watched it because it's based on Meteor, Butterfly, Sword. Decent sword fights although at times I could see them thinking too hard about the fight choreography.

This was fun and the miniature city and vehicles were amazing. Don't mess with Mosura's girls! Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
