Eternal Love of Dream: Too many dramas under the bridge for me to remember all the details, but I don't even remember an infidelity storyline. The only thing that truly bothered me about this drama was the second female lead. I found her horribly annoying. And I was disappointed that 4th Brother was recast, even though he didn't have much screentime. I'm also wondering if they were setting us up for a part 3 with some of the underused characters in this one. If you liked TMOPB I would encourage you to forge on a little longer. I didn't like it as much as TMOPB (Ye Hua, Mo Yuan, Bai Qian, and all the brothers FTW ❤ ), but I did enjoy it. I would have cut the episode count down and moved the story along quicker but I say that about most long cdramas.
DOTS: I dropped after the second episode. I may go back sometime to it, but it didn't pull me in despite the stellar cast.
Pinocchio: This is in my PTW. I'm okay with a darker/sadder storyline, but more ambivalent about the leads.
Forest: I got through the first two episodes and one day intend to go back.
With the exception of Eternal Dream, my unfinished drama angst is similar to yours.
And finally, " They wouldn’t watch one of these dramas if Vengo Gao tied them to the couch and hand fed them Double Stuff Oreos between episodes (um… that sounds fun)." Yes, yes it does. ;)
Cons-The biggest con for me is that by the time a hyped drama finishes airing if I save it to binge, I feel like I've already watched it because of the good people on the feed who won't use the spoiler tag. I've only been on MDL for a year, but this plays out repeatedly. To this day I haven't seen Extraordinary You because the feeds were plastered with pictures and posts about it. A lesser con of the hype machine, but still annoying is the people who will shred a drama because it was unable to live up to earth shattering expectations and unrealistic hype.
I try to keep my expectations low when I start a drama, no matter how much it has been hyped. Honestly, I think I enjoyed dramas more before I joined MDL because I didn't feel like I had to justify loving or hating a drama to anyone. I lived in the quiet little land of no hype, just taking dramas as I found them. I wouldn't give up the camaraderie, entertainment, information, and joy I get from my MDL friends and the feeds for anything, but I do feel like I lost a little, too.
The ending was abrupt, but there was a lot of funny stuff in this movie. I haven't laughed that hard in awhile. XD
