Exactly. If they are constantly crying, what will happen if someone on the team dies? I think it will make the even sadder tears less impactfull. And if they are going for se then how are going to emote even more??

This is my feeling as well. We knew the poison could kill her and it all depended on one flower to save her. When that plan fell through I knew where things were going. From the comments I was prepared for a tragic death but it really was, like you said, a melancholy, romantic ending.
