One of the things I appreciate is the almost sole focus on the sister’s relationships, one at a time. Most shows try to weave them together and the attention gets split up. But this really lets you get invested in them one at a time.

The mother gets sucked into a plot by the neighbors (Cui) seemingly very easily and she hides it from the family. She is normally so quick witted and resourceful that I feel this is very out of character. Even caught off guard, (son-in-law said he would take care of the stalker) her very intelligent daughters would find a way out without being blackmailed.

I am really invested in the show and the characters. I am on Ep15 and find this odd...

Be sure you dont have the subtitles set on English(close caption). English is at the very bottom of mine. Then it will just be the spoken words in subs.

Yes, I think you are right. Pretty dark, where you are rooting for the bullied person who then becomes a worse monster.

Same for me. There is too much focus on it. But then again I am really not a modern romcom or romdrama fan.

I don’t mind murder mystery but these stories are so dark. It is well done and the cast is great tho.

I think he does like her.

The guy that was attacking his arsehole king was his friend that faked death in prison. He felt responsible.

I really enjoyed this. For me, there was a little too much of the 2nd Jun family branch extra drama but I do admit that everything tied back together very well in the end. SWL made quite an impressive Wolf Lord in both look and stature. He hit all the emotional notes for me and the chemistry with Angelababy was good. This may be my favorite drama on ‘25 because I totally was not expecting it. The last fight scene was poorly executed but otherwise I felt the production was very well done.

I enjoyed this quite a bit after zero expectations. Leads have decent chemistry (the kiss in ep 20 is 🔥) and there is a bit of plot to work with. FL has moments of really naive decisions (end of ep 22 into 23) where I am like ??? But, like a decent mini there isn’t too much side story.

You will want to avoid it for sure.

It’s only similar that 2ml gets too much screen time and way too much empathy from FL. If you can ignore that part, it’s a decent historical idol drama.

Agree with you on the absolute failure of both romance and justice. The torture of The Princess Royal all over again.
