1. Chinese nuance, the unwritten culture, Chinese people in gatherings always fighting for who pay the food first,…
Wait, do they really volunteer to pay for food so they can gloat about their generosity but they wouldn't pay and it's the other people that must do that? Hilarious.
I don't have high hopes for this series. It's the kind of series that starts veeeery slow, to the point, you have…
High school love can be innocent; and even if the characters get frisky, it can be off-scene. There is no need for NC scenes to be showed. Those smut hardy contribute to the plot. Really, have NC scenes became a mandatory in BL genre nowadays?
I like the synopsis, but the rating and comments are saying No.... 🤦🏻♀️Can someone recommend me a…
"Tales of A Thousand Stars" "Rak Diao" (also caled "One Love") - but this one is a sitcom (laughing track background), some may not used to it. "To Sir, With Love" Filipinos series "Likes in the Movies" (also called "Gaya Sa Pelikula") and "Boys' Lockdown" (the Filipinos series are mostly cute and fresh, the acting may not stellar and the plot may not deep).
The WeTV version of this show is only available on WeTV Thailand. As a Thai show in Thai region for Thai audience, I don't think there is a need for subtitle. So those who want to wait for subtitle on WeTV, good luck. The You Tube version is available internationally, it's cut version but it has subtitle in multiple languages. https://www.youtube.com/@HJofficialthailand/playlists
the cut version on wetv is also unsubbed so I “think” they will add them soon at least I hope so.
I don't think so... As this series on WeTV is only available on WeTV Thailand. A Thai series aired in Thai region for Thai audience, there is no need for subtitle. It's only in YT version for international fans that there are subtitle.
I'm not sure how "explicit" the show is. Only one episode was out.The actor's age of 16 is real. The misinformation…
Age of consent in itself doesn't limit the difference in age between participants. It's another clause tagging along that decide that. Maybe in Washington State there is one as you said. However, in Thai, it's different: there is no restriction clause for those above age of consent and they also have a clause of "close-in-age" meaning those of 15-18 (above consent age but still a minor) can still get on with it together with those of 13-15 (below consent age). In my country, there is also no restriction for those above age of consent (I checked, a case of 16 and 30 is okay) but there is no "close-in-age" clause (meaning below 16 is off-limit no matter what). To sum up, age of consent by definition has no restriction in age difference, but each state, each country may have their own adjustment.
As for the explicit rape scenes, I want to reassure that it's acting, meaning when those scenes where made, there are dozen of people sitting around, pointing light, mirror, camera at them, then director demand to cut and redo, re-apply make-up between each do, re-adjusting the props, re-read the script. It's not like they can develop a real mood or a real feeling of being taken advantaged with all of those going around. Just like actors acting in car accidents or suicide scenes don't really have the trauma being life threatened.
Though, your concern for actors' mental health is appreciated. Abusing is a possibility that can happen not with just young actors but also adult actors. If the enthusiastic can dig into behind the scene and expose the abusing with cold, hard proof then it would be great, and I believe those who have supported the series here do have a conscience not to approve abusing or infraction. But no proof have been presented, and many complainers here have only made baseless accusation so far (using "child abusers" and "pedophile" - which is applied to prepubescence and not 16 year-olds).
So much nonsense typed and even in Capital letters. The reason people are"whining" as you called it,isn't because…
It's actually double standard. I don't see them continuously ranting and attacking the makers of Stay With Me or other adapted Chinese BL for removing all gay romance. They know that it's the Chinese government that discriminate LGBTQ+ and it's the government and the laws that they should target if they don't agree with the decision. The makers of the series are just abiding by their country's laws. Yet here, this series makers abide by their country's laws, too. However, they attacked the show makers instead of the government and the laws.
@Royal Queen was right when saying that those people should focus on the laws and try to chance it if they don't agree, instead of harassing and calling names base on their own individual unwritten moral code.

Yet the problem is that they didn't voice concern, they didn't question. They accused and called names the show makers as immoral and illegal for following Thai laws. They used "pedophile". They edited image by cutting off the real subtitle and inserting fake text (those images have been reported and taken down). They lied that the show is illegal outside of Thailand. Those behaviors are harassment, not questioning. They committed libel under the name of "opinions".
I agree with the age gap. But what's the use of showing hatred here? When law of the land allows it, how can we…
@SanoTaku: Great. Another "reply-then-block-so-my-foolish-blabbering-can't-be-seen" typical of those holier-than-thou moral police. Your reply can still be saw when not logged in, coward. I'm defending a 27 with a 16 and there is nothing wrong with that. Different country, different culture. Deal with it, dumbass.
What's wrong with you . Even if the law of land allows, doesn't make it alright. he's still a minor. It's giving…
You misused the word "pedophile". By definition, pedophilia (alternatively spelled paedophilia) is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children. 16 is not prepubescent.
7.4? Considering starting this series ,but is it that bad? 7.4 is pretty low for a Thai bl on here
I find MDL rating can be quite unreliable, especially in series that had heated argument such as this one. Those who dislike will rate 1, just to spite. Those who support will rate 10 just to spite back, and the rating gets out of whack.
Personally, I find this series to be quite ok. The setting is light and enjoyable, the acting of Hero is good and natural, the acting of Poppy is okay, the acting of the second couple is lackluster, the sound effect can be cheap. Comparing to other Thai BL out there, this is very watchable, at least so far with only 2 episodes out.
THIS SERIES IS AMAZING! These comments have taught me to not judge a series by the reviews. I started watching…
I would like to recommend you some BL series that I like (you hardly update your view list, I don't know which series you have watched, so....). "To Sir, With Love" and "Rak Diao" (also called "One Love"). The former is lakorn, a type of Thai television soap drama trademarked by over-dramatic acting, shouting evil female antagonist and ridiculous gun fighting at the end. The later is sitcom, a type of drama trademarked by theatrical acting as if they're on a stage and background laughing sound track. It may get some time and effort to get used to, but once you do, those two are good. Filipinos series "Likes in the Movies" (also called "Gaya Sa Pelikula") and "Boys' Lockdown". Chinese censored "bromance" series "Precise Shot".
I can find all of them, except "To Sir, With Love", on you tube with Eng subtitle.
I don't get the amount of complains cuz this series is not bad at all. its actually better than majority of the…
Some people may complain because they want this series to be as close to the source material (the book) as possible. It's not necessary a good thing due to the book having problematic elements, though some fans may desire the faithfulness.
Some people complain due to an entirely unrelated reason: their view is that actors must be at least 18 year-old to be allowed have any intimate scenes, and Thai people as well as anyone whose countries laws allow younger actors to legally act in those scenes are morally corrupted. So their judgements on the series actually come from spite (they even edit images and add fabricated text to post in image section).
Personally, I find the show to be upper-average in quality comparing to many other Thai BL series out there. It may feel cheap, but enjoyable and the acting of the two main leads are more natural than some.
i mean i'm 100% against pretty much everything about this show, but still wanted to watch the first episode on…
They even make images that was cut from an original image, remove the real subtitle text, add in their own fabricate text and upload them in image section.
The posts on facebook and X said that international fans can watch on YT channel HJ Official Thailand. Yet, no videos there. However, if checking the playlist, then there is a playlist of cut version (not complaining, though): www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqQkseRPA8d53_Hg0wnBlDFwNtFBw6xo3 But the videos in that playlist was posted on YT channel Hollywood Thailand. Why it must be so complicated. Such a mayhem.
Hilarious.
