Never watched a Korean Drama which is based in 90s before this, so all of the first episode seemed so different, the aesthetics, the fashion, the street, buildings etc. Its was really pretty. Ep 1 was nice, it was like an introduction and provided a base with insights for future in the preview. Most of the times they just start without any prior information, which I dislike, also because this drama has 16 episodes, they do have the time. I really hope they keep this slow comic aesthetic vibe throughout, and pick up the pace right where needed and end with a nice epilogue.
The train scene where both of them stared towards each other, it was so beautiful. I hope they have way more than just slight romance.
Also so happy that I will see Junho with his pretty hair for around 8 weeks.

I saw this one in a chinese drama, but I don't remember the name.

The drama is a full cliche. I mean this seems all the parts been taken from 3-4 kdramas and then mixed together. The FL's character could have been better, I really don't like the scam part. I mean the reason for the contract marriage could have been different.
But does it deserve this rating? Ig no! I generally wait for half of the drama to be over before rating it. But maybe not everyone thinks alike.
I had a little better expectations though. I hope it gets a little better from ep 3 and they make it a little different from what we have got previously from other dramas.

Didn't like the fact that she called her ex the second she needed help. Girl where's your self respect. You didn't severe ties on amicable grounds, he cheated. Why would you show your problems to him now and sound as a pathetic sympathy needed person? Okay drunk dialing ex, I get it. But the first call she made, she was not even drunk. The character can be trash, what's wrong with the actor though? He has done a lot of work last year. He was in first night with duke, fiery priest season 2, hierarchy.

That's fraud not cheating, I mean that's a kind of cheat but to a company not a partner. A kind of fraud. But does that make it any better? Nope she did wrong. Also she has hidden the fact from her mother, another wrong.

But don't watch it with high expectations especially because of the writer's famous previous works. Its surprising how she wrote this after all of thems. The actors and visuals kind of saved it a little.

Starting was nice. In the middle episodes dragged a little and there were pacing issue, a lot of things were introduced so it was difficult to catch up. But after ep 6 it got better. The chemistry, acting, humour, visuals, fantasy theme is great though. The writer could have done a better job in some places. But overall its entertaining. You should try it.

He is an angel of death. Quiet interesting character, is not a complete angel, has his own motives. His bent his head down infront of humans as commanded by God. He has the responsibility to slit the throat of Iblis after he either bends his head in front of humans or fails to corrupt a person even after fulfilling his 3 wishes. So Ejlael desperately wants his mission to be completed. He also wished victory against the genies in the war that lasted 300 years, where he took the charge against the genies, as head of the angels (kind of).
Other than that, he is a rich man owning a lot of lands, buildings in the modern world. He has a on-off relationship with Iblis, doesn't love him entirely doesn't hate him as well. They were kind of brothers in the past so have a bickering frenemy vibe.

Maybe I have no idea about that. Honestly, this drama was hyped from the very first because it was a reunion of the leads after 9 years. It was one of the most awaited dramas of this year. Also both of them have strong fan bases. Steve Noh, Ahn Eun Jin all are pretty popular and I have seen people watching the drama just for them. Along with this, the genre is comedy, love, fantasy, which is really popular. The plot was new- genie and psychopath, so it was intriguing. So I think it was pretty evident people would at least try the drama. Tempest on the other hand, got famous after it released all because of bodyguard-damsel in distress scenarios.

I just feel no one should watch a show for a controversy. Especially Muslims, who are actually offended by watching it, should leave this and recommend their Muslim friends/relatives not to watch it. It doesn't make sense that ohh its offensive, so we will watch it and criticize it continuously. I mean they cannot do anything about it really. Its upto the makers. Yeah I have heard show makers enjoy negative publicity as well, so yeah maybe!
