Haha, this seems the most obvious thing, unless there are twists considering the marketing for the drama was of "two villains". But again this is a romcom, and they have already established that though these two are not the most kind hearted people, they are not as bad as the world thinks, and are misunderstood at some level.

Gift brought by ML, are you talking about the tonic which she threw away, in the starting of the second episode, where she was seeing the peonies with her maids and a man with hidden face came? That was not the ML, he wore a red robe, it was the King, hence the SML. Or is it some other scene you are talking about?

Yes that seems correct. The guys are cousins in this life, it seems they were cousins or somehow related in the past life as well, considering ML was a royal and SML king.
But FL doesn't miss her ex or something like no such scene no such pain is as such shown. So maybe FL and ML in past life did not have a relationship but ML liked her.

For point 1, I think when people say writers did him dirty, they meant they did dirty to the actor Steve Noh, not the character. I mean I read comments like that, even agree myself. Making him just an obsessed simp is really vague.

For point 3, Huiju's father may not be a good father, but he does care. Remember he wanted Huiju to marry a guy whom she met at an art museum or something. That guy was rich, had no siblings for property division, and had integrity. That's why when Huiju set her terms he respectfully disagreed and rejected her, because he wanted a loving partner, and marriage was not a calculative agreement for him. That shows FL's dad chose a good man for her. FL has been subjected to poisoning, harassment from press and what not due to her marriage. FL's father also thinks FL has married ML for status not for love ( he for sure believes the contract, is not aware of his daughter's feelings). He for sure feels his daughter would be safe if away from all the palace politics. I also remember him asking his daughter in law to place a spy in the palace to whom FL can depend on incase something goes wrong.
I remember him slapping the Grand Prince of the country when his daughter got poisoned. That could have serious repercussions but he wasn't fearful. He for sure knows divorce would bring shame to his company, but he still tells her to do it if it keeps her safe.
Now I for sure agree his methods are wrong, he should ask what his daughter wants, he should have a communication, but since FL's childhood he is blinded by some ego of his.
That's why I said nope he is not a good dad. But he does love her and care for her regardless.

Im Ji Yeon is such a good actor, like I love her, she is so good in what she does. I am enjoying both their characters. The cousin being the King is something I think we all guessed before.
This is fun, like a good mix of comedy and seriousness. Very enjoyable.

Also, see there was no need to hate my Huiju for a moment of weakness in yesterday's episode. A little angst does no harm. I loved the reunion, I bet we all did. Loved the fact that considering it only has 12 episodes, the writers managed to keep it really short.

It depends, this wasn't marketed only as a rom com. During promotions, trailers, even the initial episodes, the political intrigue was being shaped. And now during the last few episodes, the political intrigue is really at its peak. With arsons, accidents, fight for throne, different people with different wishes, secrets, plot twists was kind of expected at least from where I saw it.

Is there really no plot twist? Nothing at all? I mean everything that is happening is way too obvious. No I am not speaking about cliche tropes, I am all up for it because its a rom com. But because political intrigue is a major trope here, I wished there would be some plot twists. But till now there is no need for any theory or anything, its very simple. Even if there would be slight doubts, the previews spoil them every time. All theories cease to exist because whatever hint the show gives, it follows exactly the same.
This I feel is one of the biggest criticisms I would have for this show.

Should I expect a plot twist for the next week considering we will have the climax then? Maybe.

They are for sure tied by ML's brother and nephew more than anything else. He doesn't blame her for the death of his brother only for not disclosing the true will.
More than anything, I think he pities her.

I said he used to care for her in the past, I don't think he does that now. But he loves his nephew a lot, and its his mother, along with his past friendship, maybe that's why. I cannot be the judge why or why not ML hates or doesn't hate his sister in law. His wish.

Its evident from their past interactions, that they were friends, though she liked him, he did not. But he used to care for her in the past, and hence is not able to hate her now.

I really liked the first episode.

They will be shooting for KR from 16th to 18th May. On 20th May they will be shooting for Hello Saturday. This is as per both of their schedules.
So hopefully we see both of these in June when MoLi is about to air as well.

Exactly. People want her to be some Goddess with eternal power. She is a human, her power was just a facade so she doesn't get hurt. That's something she adapted to. Plus no one knew how she would be if she is in love, she never fell in love before.
I mean people get so happy when strong men beg on their knees for protecting the love of their life, but when its a woman, she shouldn't do that, she should be all brave and mighty. Like I have seen so many edits people make that ohh my God so strong and proud for the world, but such a weak puppy for the woman he loves, but when its the opposite, some people are hating on it? Sheer hypocrisy. This trope of never bending, being all mighty 24*7 takes away from the plot.
Let her see how it is to depend, to trust, on her family, on the guy she loves, let her re-discover herself, let her change a little. She finally realizes the worth of love, for sure she would change.
I would have been disappointed if being weak would have been a part of her trait from now. But seeing the preview, she got ready to fight again, so this is just a moment of weakness.
Some people do not try to understand complexities at all, characters are not as straight personality wise as you wish for always.
