Okay I just realized this is the last time we all are waiting for the episodes (yup late realization) . How did time fly so soon? Wasn't it just yesterday when this started to air. Oh my God.
Ahh, I am going to miss all the theories we all make, gushing over the expensive sets, clothes, and the cast. This was my comeback to kdrama after months, and I am going to really miss it.

No I completely understand the details. Its just hilarious to me about the shippers of QM and ML. Yeah I see the chemistry too but I would just want the actors to reunite in a romantic drama someday but the characters NEVER. Yeah "what if" situations are okay if its for fun, but actually wishing them to be together when Huiju is the clear choice of Ian is really weird to me.

For sure it was never pretense from Ian's side. But what you said was Ian would never fall in love with an ambitious woman who could marry for power, but he literally fell for a woman with the same character traits (yes not as evil as the other one), but his reasoning for love might be different. Its just that for Ian the character traits didn't matter, his choice was Huiju not QM in childhood as well as in adulthood.

But yes everything I agree. Not only Ian was never interested in her, even QM herself chose power instead of him. I mean its not that she doesn't want him to get married and make him a bachelor for life. She loves nothing beyond power and just wants to control the guy. So the love triangle is non-existent.

Its just that as you said she is a complicated character, is very beautiful, and the actress has done an excellent job. The characters were friends previously. But now they are continuously at odds with each other so whenever we have their scenes there is a tension, but that's not due to romance or something, its like trying to read each other and guess their attacks. People also love the "enemies falling for each other trope".
