Its so funny some of these toxic fans react as if they understand how C-ent works more than the actors themselves. These actors are not babies, not fools. They are grown adults who for sure know what is good for their careers, plus they have a lot of money and resources. Stop trying to paint any of them as poor victims. The actors, or their agency doesn't need your permission to cast them together.

Both of them publicly supported each other by booking cloud seats for each other's dramas previously, hence I am assuming they are friends. They must be glad to work with each other.
