Episode 8 was probably the weakest up till now - it completely lacked direction. They touched on a few issues,…
That's the problem when you copy you friend essay and try to make it your own but fail. I noticed the writer changed the order of things of the incidents/story arcs so it felt less impactful as compared to the original.
They also changed the characters but failed to make it reasonable and logical. That's why in Shin Dae Ryuk case it feels like nobody care about his mental state. In Japanese original this artist is a bit dark with trauma past but no sign of suicidal. He is so motivated to become artist. Shin Dae Ryuk worked at hospital strangely. I wonder if anyone can work part time at hospital handling dead bodies like shown in this Korean drama. I mean with all the signs Shin Dae Ryuk shows.
Pomme wasn't in the Japanese version that's why the character and plot felt so Korean-ly chiche-ed. We haven't seen her webtoon yet ironically and it looks like she's having a lot of free time living in luxury...lmao
This is a bit hard to rate. It is not what you think it is. There is another synopsis online, but it doesn't describe…
After some research, the song has nothing to do with anything in the story. I was expecting there's some symbolism from the lyrics but upon checking the Japanese lyric it doesn't carry any related meaning. Sort of like random song the teacher chose on that day, and whenever the students hear the song they will remember the incident instead of the meaning of the song itself. It could have been a Metallica song if the writer wants...lol
Karma also doesn't work in this drama. Regret? They have a few...but then again too few to mention...I guess Sinatra's song would fit more than Kirinji's.
This is a bit hard to rate. It is not what you think it is. There is another synopsis online, but it doesn't describe what the drama is about. The one translated from Hulu up there also doesn't do justice in summarizing the drama. I guess you have to find out yourself.
Overall this is a bit philosophical but not too philosophical. It has that depressing vibe but not too depressing....lol
If I were to describe in one sentence, I would quote a line from the drama; "It's ordinary but not boring".
A bit better than the 1st part, many action scenes, feels a bit Keizoku SPEC, but for some reason the pacing was a bit slower at some places. Santamaria couldn't move on from his obsession of Baumkuchen (in reference to "Hi no Ko"). Featuring 2 main cases (3ep/case). 8/10
This is surprisingly amazing in the category of drama involving workplace and work. Don't be fooled by the poster and the lengthy synopsis. If you like Attention Please and Good Luck! you would probably love this one too! 8.5/10 for making viewers feel inspired and value their work regardless of what their job is.
As a person who didn't watch this for Fujioka, I think the drama was surprisingly good in its own way. You might be disappointed with some of the "pseudo-scientific" elements but the main case was good and made you curious to know more especially during the last 3 episodes. However the writing was not that strong in the investigation and the mystery part. Instead it was more philosophical and comedic at times. Although I do have several pet peeves that's bothering me but nonetheless I still enjoyed this 1st part (or season). Looking forward for S2. 8/10
This drama has the best OST, with a production that is mimicking FujiTV late 90's to 2000-ish style. Story and character are very Japanese but the writing is dynamic and non-typlical in terms of how the plot unfolds. 8/10
Hi can you share where do you get the raw and subtitle?
I have the raw from many years ago (long before the dvdrip version of the series was out) ...so I don't remember where did I get it from. So sorry that I can't help you.
I watched it raw. It wasn't bad and very comical at times but the number of episode is too little it felt it didn't develop into a strong drama. Not sure of how close it is with the original novel. Very little focus on work, more on the people of the "Sakura Shopping Street", if that matters to you..
Overall quite an interesting drama. I'm not a fan of it "trying to look cute" though, but other than that it was solid. Please bare the first 2 episodes for the super-exaggerated receptionist job-scope. After that it will be good. 8/10
This was as entertaining as the previous 2 movies. Watch it whenever you have the chance!

Okay, overall this drama was funny and lighthearted with some bits of information about being elegant and the history behinds it. The plot was simple almost like a fairy tale in the modern days though. I watched it raw so I have missed some of the terms, names and French words....LoL
