I have watched upto 12. They both have started having positive thoughts about each other. They are in each other's thoughts. However he is about to marry QM because of pressure/interference from the Noble Consort. He wants to delay it and gave some lame excuses, which I am guessing is because he is now unsure and is subconsciously having doubts even though he doesn't say it. He is subsconsciouly having feelings for FL but isn't aware of it yet. The same goes for the FL. I do like slow burn romance and this isn't boringly slow because of the constant bickering between the couple and their work relationship. I think it is worth watching from ep 12 .

Ditto! I have not read the book but am already losing interest because of the same reasons you mentioned. The romance which is an important element of this story is sadly unconvincing and lacking authenticity even after they reunited. Just wanted to mention here that I liked the two lead actors before in other dramas (their roles caught my attention big time) which was one of the reasons why I picked up this drama. I'm already on ep 16 and I thought it was going to get better but sadly I was wrong. Haven't seen character development in the main leads at all, maybe their focus shifted a bit because of what happened a century ago and Su Mo has gained strength. Some of the other characters had other minor changes too but I feel most of them slipping back into their old selves again. Everytime the two main leads share screen time together and talk about their supposed past romance, I sit here and roll my eyes. Seriously, what was that??? They must take us viewers for fools. lol and then there were other parts of the drama that do not sit well with me at all but I don't even want to go into that.

Don’t know what happened but today they released Eng subs up to ep 14.
I am hoping they’ll keep it up. Yeah it is unlikely they will drop it since the lead actors have huge fan base.

I AM watching it on YT Croton Megahit channel. I can view all new episodes but they are all in Chinese except for 2 episodes that have English subs per day.I have watched 8 episodes in English so far. The subbing is slow I think. I cannot find other channels that carry English subs. Region restricted I think.

So after I couldn’t find the drama on WeTv (Japan) I found it on Croton with English subs. I paid a small membership fee so I could watch more episodes. But it turned out only two episodes WITH English subs are released per day. As for the other episodes you can view but they do not have Eng subs. So if you are thinking of becoming a member of Croton with the hope of watching ALL new episodes in English, do not waste your money. I am a fan of fantasy drama but as far as this drama is concerned I am not loving it. But I have seen only up to ep 8 so I will stick with it a bit longer as

Haven't seen that one. Not a modern drama fan but it is hard to say no to Xu Kai. For me at least :)

Trust me I am not a hater. She came to my attention first in Legend of Awakening. I did not know her then but watched it because of Arthur Chen. Then it was The World of Fantasy. I watched it as I had nothing else at that time but was disappointed so dropped that one. This time I watched it because of the ML but was disappointed yet again as I have not seen any growth in her acting. (Also, do you know why she always sports the same hair style with bangs?) I watched Lie to Love because of Luo Yun Xi. Another disappoinemnt :-( didn't mean to be harsh or anything but when you have seen much better actreesses out there, and you love the wolrd of acting, you cannot help but compare. Hopefully she will get better in time.
I AM watching Louyang though. I am enjoying Louyang so far. Haven't seen Falling into Your Smile yet but might because of Xu Kai,

I have seen the FL in other dramas she played FL too but I have not finished any one of them because of her acting. She has the same pout andnnon expressionless face. Her eyes and pout are all we get. And her voice is like a 10 yr old not a 20 yr old.
Also there are too many flaws in the plot. I'm ranting because I was expecting more from ML having seen him in other dramas too

I agree. The FL is annoying and dumb. Can't understand what her boss saw in her when hiring her. She has a sharp tongue but not the brains for sure. When her brother pretended not to know her and later told her to lay off she still couldn't understand what he was hinting/getting at. It's fine if she secretly went on with her investigation but how a 'clever' girl like her not able to grasp the situation her brother is in and publicly tried to seek justice against the big wigs makes no sense. Her actions are reckless and so is her tongue like the ML told her to govern her thoughts when alone and hold her tongue when. in company in ep 3. Also the drama lacks attention to detail like in the first few scenes she is seen jumping on to rooftops, but later when she tried to sneak out she resorted to using a ladder and couldn't climb back on the wall?? And then her brother commented she is not good at 'Qinggong' only to later show her jumping off a wall in ep 3 when trying to get the book. Anyway, I saw the FL in Love a Lifetime ans wasn't impressed at all. The same face and expressions here when she is serious. And her eyes? What is wrong with them? Crossed eyed? Anyway, I watched this drama for the male lead but his character is not fun and I feel there is nothing new in this drama.

I agee with you! I am not feeling this drama at all. Even the plot is starting to get boring for me as some scenes are repetitive and a little too predictable at times. The emperor flying into rage and his moments of madness, the cold Shifu who wears the same blank expression/reaction, the older Fang brother's stalking his love interest, the supposed homor in the drama, etc. Even the villains don't feel not evil enough . I guess I was expecting too much from this drama. The story and acting both lack conviction, sincereity or whatever it is called. Somehow it doesn't feel authentic or original. I mean the way the story and the acting go, what haven't we seen before in other dramas? I roll my eyes almost at every episode.

lol I couldn't agree with you more. High time she took on different roles. It is getting repetitive and it is hard to see if she has grown as an actress or not. It is important for any actor worth their salt. Tbh I don't watch modern dramas so I cannot compare her acting in different roles except the historical ones.

I find her character unlike a princess. I meant not just her bratty behaviour but also how she carries herself like a low born girl. Even the ML told her so but of course he is enamoured by her and all that. Her character portrayal is unrealistic since she was brought up in the palace. Even if she was loved by the previous emperor and everyone, the palace still has rules and proper conduct for princes and princesses. I liked her other roles before in other dramas but she seems to be playing the same kind of roles.

That makes complete sense. I guess it takes a lot of guts to stick your neck out. Too bad this drama is not doing her any good though. Part of me is wishing she will turn sort of evil later in the drama so she could shine more in her role. Well, I hope she gets better roles as she continues to branch out as an actress because she truly deserves it.
