Jang Mi is not serious about the revenge. She would rather abandon the revenge than break up.
So this is more of a soft or light revenge drama, which is heavy on the romance.

Real revenge is in Pearl in Red right now. The way Jin Ju just left Min Jun crying like that and she did not care. All she could think about was how she lost her Dad. She is serious about revenge. Whereas Jang Mi lost her Dad, her Mom was attacked and regressed mentally, her twin sister was kidnapped, they were both hit by a truck, leaving her sister comatose, she experienced multiple murder attempts, and was almost kidnapped. But that is not enough to make her lose herself to revenge.

I have a bone to pick with the promotional video for this 'soft' revenge drama. The video made Jang Mi out to be someone who was willing to become villainous to get her revenge- she is shown to have a darker persona, along with Baek Ho. Jang Mi even appeared to already have a plan which she invited Baek Ho to join. BUT what we actually got is a Jang Mi who struggles to keep her emotions in check and who is really just fumbling around and playing little tricks on Hwa Yeong, which she has managed to bounce back from, quite easily. On top of that, Jang Mi was ready to abandon her revenge plans because she feared losing her love interest- like that was more important than avenging her parents and Seo Rin. And then, she was accidentally discovered by Baek Ho. I would have preferred for her to look for him on her own, and on her own terms, but she is simply not that kind of a character. She is too soft-hearted for revenge- she might even end up forgiving Hwa Yeong at the end of this. That is why the writers have introduced a character who is serious about revenge and it's a brilliant move. They have once again shown us that this show really is about Hwa Yeong. It's her world and everyone just lives in it. She has turned out to be quite a formidable and complicated villain, proving once again, that a show is only as good as its villain. And good, she is.

All this to say that I do not think we will be seeing the version of Jang Mi that is portrayed in the promotional video. And I guess we will revert back to Baek Ho saving Jang Mi every time she is in danger. I really did enjoy watching Jang Mi doing things on her own, thinking for herself and saving herself. She grew up a lot- hopefully, she won't regress now that she has help.

So Jang Mi left her second phone on, not on silent, not password protected, and in an unlocked drawer 😂😂.

I am so glad she told Tae Pyung too. I was hoping the family would know- a very good move. It will help him to understand Suk Hee better and give him purpose. He cannot just be busy with the side dish store all day for 60 more episodes. It will also help Seo Rin’s recovery when they have to bring her home. If she is amnesiac, they won’t confuse her much by always calling her Jang Mi. But they would need to be careful too, in case Hwa Yeong hears her being called, 'Seo Rin'. Telling Tae Pyung also makes things less awkward for Baek Ho who visits regularly.

But I wonder…..could Tae Pyung end up falling in love with Seo Rin while taking care
of her? He has no love interest on the horizon
and Seo Rin was never his sister…….., even
though she is the spitting image of his sister and is his Mother’s daughter…it would be weird but not impossible. Unless he falls for Hong Ju. But he saw her once in the elevator and he didn’t seem interested.

I also wonder whether Seo Rin's face injuries will fully recover. Baek Ho said they are
pretty serious. If the writers ever considered
plastic surgery for Seo Rin, they certainly
have a good reason to do so now. Or the
face injuries could humble Seo Rin a bit by making her insecure about her looks.

Even Hong Ju has a new hairstyle- it's the classic change of hairstyle half way through the show.

Yes, Jun Ho is falling for Jang Mi- he is about to fall hard 🤭. He would have never easily agreed to the invitation to the Ma household before 😂.

I hope San Wol and Hong Ju find the flash first- they can be more of a menace to Hwa Yeong then Hwa Yeong will be blackmailed on two fronts😂😂. Jang Mi will just send Hwa Yeong to jail if she finds the flash- where is the fun in that?😂.

The mystery guy certainly adds a new layer of intrigue which the show needs if it is going to stay interesting for 60 more episodes. Jang Mi and Baek Ho just do not have what it takes to properly execute a good revenge plot. A new variable was definitely needed- really wise of the writers. The mystery man is definitely not Tae Pyung- I looked at their shoes- they have different shoes on.

The new guy is definitely someone Hwa Yeong screwed over- it could be:
1) Jun Ho's bio-dad- if it's him, Hwa Yeong might try to save herself by saying she can get him Dream Group and they might end up working together. OR
2) The twins' bio-dad- but why would he stay away from his daughter for so long? OR
3) By makjang standards, the baby that Hwa Yeong lost actually survived and was taken by the doctor. She did go to a dodgy hospital. And the kid believes she abandoned him for the Ma family.
So many exciting possibilities.

The guy had a picture of the Ma famly- Seo Rin/Jang Mi's life might be in danger especially if he tries to get to Hwa Yeong by harming her daughter. Jun Ho's life could be in danger too if he finds out his parentage.

They need evidence that can put away Hwa Yeong for good. Since we are only half way through the show and have 59 episodes left, I doubt they will find it any time soon. The marriage will be Jang Mi's last desperate attempt to get revenge on Hwa Yeong while they continue to look for evidence, especially if Seo Rin has amnesia.

I think the writers love making Baek Ho cry. He will be crying a lot in the future 😂😂😂.

Yeah. Me too- he seems like the type who will pull away from all the people who love him once he finds out. I think he will only find out after the wedding, if it happens.

Will do. And while he may be open to the wedding idea, nothing can happen without 'Seo Rin's' approval. Hwa Yeong cannot exactly black mail Seo Rin. It will be interesting to see how the story unfolds.

What is Jun Ho's vulnerability?

I hope that after that dinner, Jang Mi figures out that Jun Ho is the Professor's son and Baek Ho's brother. I will not be surprised, however, if she thinks that the son Hwa Yeong was referring to is Baek Ho😂😂. But the reveal might have been lost with the revelation that the Professor covered up for the Hwa Yeong on the night of the 'accident'. So I guess Jang Mi needs to find a way to get close to the Professor. Could agreeing to become his daughter-in-law get her close to him? He will also need to testify in court so she needs to get him on her side, eventually. Jang Mi keeps saying that she will never marry Jun Ho- that means she is going to change her mind.

Baek Ho will obviously be against it and I think that if Seo Rin does wake up with amnesia, which Baek Ho has already foreshadowed, he will be spending a lot of time with her, trying to force her to remember everything so that she can reclaim her place, and so Jang Mi can return to him.

And I guess Jang Mi might have get close to Jun Ho to get him to agree to marry her? She does not know yet that Jun Ho does not like Seo Rin as a person, and not just romantically. I guess they can bond over their love for cooking.

The Chairman was trying to confirm the rumour about Nam Bong and Hwa Yeong- it would have been really awkward to have Yeong Ja there and potentially hurtful for her.

Certainly looks like it. I can almost guarantee that the first person she will see by her bedside when she wakes up, is Baek Ho.

I wonder why the writers are waking her up so early, though.

Hwa Yeong has also commented several times that it's remarkable just how much the twins look alike. They are both just awestruck.

Hong Ju told 'Seo Rin' a few episodes ago that she met Baek Ho at a company party so maybe Jang Mi will pretend not to know Baek Ho and say that he looks like the Professor's son whom she met at the party.
That should buy her a little time.

So the Chairman is not an ally right now? Seo Rin was so sure he would help them.
I think he was just trying to lull Hwa Yeong into a false sense of security. He is secretly plotting against her. I think he would have happily taken Suk Hee in as she has not only given him one heir, but two. The writers were probably just trying to prevent Jang Mi from ending her revenge journey prematurely.
But, admittedly, a kidnapping CEO is not a good look for Dream Group's bottomline.

I liked how Yeong Ja handled Hwa Yeong's marriage proposal for Jun Ho and Seo Rin. She said it's up to Jun Ho and they would not stand in his way. Which is a great response.
I hope we will get to see Yeong Ja slap Hwa Yeong, at least once, when everything is revealed.

Baek Ho is starting to notice that Suk Hee is calling 'Jang Mi', Tok Hee. When 'Seo Rin' finally reveals herself to him, he will quickly figure out that they switched.

Tae Sook is getting her own store. Am glad things are looking up for the family- they will even get a truck (sponsored by 'Seo Rin'?). Suk Hee also seems more manageable- I think keeping her busy with cooking and having Tae Sook's daughter around is helping.

Yeah- we now need some major shifts- San Wol and Hong Ju need to get some power over Hwa Yeong while Jang Mi really needs to immerse herself in the revenge and forget her former self and be reborn as a vengeful Seo Rin. Or maybe this will be like Cinderella Game where the FL's revenge only lasted like 20 episodes 😂. Her brother, though, was great at revenge- his character changed and he was cold to the people who loved him. He was not swayed by anything, even matters of the heart.

In any case, something has to change in this show because Hwa Yeong is back on top and back to normal like nothing happened over the last two weeks. Jang Mi needs to play the long game and not focus on small, reversible wins. She needs to play chess and abandon her emotions for now.

Maybe the ahjumma will find the USB, but it's too soon for Jang Mi to find it. So maybe San Wol or Hong Ju will discover it.

I am glad that Jang Mi has someone to help her and coach her on becoming Seo Rin. She has a very long road ahead of her and she cannot continue pretending to have amnesia.

The ahjumma can also potentially help Seo Rin with her recovery when she wakes up. Hwa Yeong trusts her so she can move in and out of the Ma house with ease and check in on Jang Mi's family to hear what is happening on that end. But that could be dangerous too if Hwa Yeong finds out that she goes to the side dish store often. After Seo Rin leaves the hospital, Hwa Yeong will likely have people watching the store.

I don't think Seo Rin really loves Jun Ho. She is infatuated with him because he is the first person to say no to her. She is a spoilt and pampered heiress who is used to getting everything she wants. Jun Ho presented a new and exciting challenge for her especially since she often gets bored with life. He's like a shiny new toy to her. I think she would have left Jun Ho once she got bored of him.
Also, I don't think she knows how to love because she has not been taught how to. Her Mom is cold towards her and tries to control her life, while her Grandpa believes love is pampering and spoiling her, and she has learnt to manipulate his love. So she needs to learn how to love and I think she will learn as she spends time with Jang Mi's family and Baek Ho.
