I might have been more forgiving of Seok Jin if he had met Eun Seol at work, recently, and they had an immediate attraction but could not pursue it because he was in an arranged marriage, which had been arranged by his and Hae Ra's parents- so he could not get out of it. I might have pitied him, even, and rooted for him and Eun Seol. But he met Eun Seol 10 years ago, and they had a brief flirtation before they parted ways. Ten years later, the attraction is still there but he has already chosen to marry someone else. He can argue that he made this decision because he lost touch with Eun Seol. But who is to say that their relationship would have lasted? He might have still pursued a marriage to Hae Ra in the end.
So, 10 years later, the attraction is still there and his Mom adores Eun Seol and hates Hae Ra, but he still wants to marry Hae Ra. He was given two opportunities to get out of this marriage that he arranged himself:
1) When Yeong Hun made is abundantly clear, on several occasions, that he was against the union; and
2) When he caught Hae Ra plotting to institutionalise his mother, with Mi Ran. No one would have blamed him for ending things at this point, and Hae Ra was sure they were done. He was given a good exit strategy which would have allowed him to be with the woman that he is actually attracted to.
But he chose to stay with Hae Ra, because Hae Ra comes from a wealthy family. This shows that he would have chosen Eun Seol if she was from a wealthy family, too. So any rich girl will do, as long as they can help him to climb the corporate ladder. So he does not deserve Eun Seol. He has even allowed Hae Ra to bully Eun Seol, repeatedly, on personal matters like their engagement party🤦🏾‍♂️ . After the truth about the switch is revealed, I can already imagine him shamelessly telling Eun Seol that they would have been together if the switch had not happened, so they can still be together 🤢. He'll probably add that they are fated to be together🤦🏾‍♂️.

Since he is the ML, the only way to redeem his character, at least in my eyes, is for there to be something else driving him to marry Hae Ra, besides plain ambition and a thirst for power. Short of that, the writers should not even think about making him and Eun Seol endgame. The best conclusion for them is to part ways, amicably. Letting him go will be a real sign of growth for Eun Seol. She needs to let go of these adolescent feelings.

While the switch sucks, I think it was good for Eun Seol to be raised by her adoptive Mom. She is a better human being for it. Had she been raised by Jeong Seon and Yeong Hun, she would have been spoilt and maybe turned out to be a toned down version of Hae Ra. Just like the switch helped her to become who she is today, maybe the switch is also meant to reveal Seok Jin's true character to her, and show her that maybe he is actually not the man for her. This is something she would have never seen if they had grown up together, fallen in love and got married.

It is quite the complicated web- it would be hard to explain why she denied being Eun Seol's Mom at first. But who knows, maybe Eun Seol will secretly do a DNA test and realise that Mi Ran was telling the truth about not being her Mom, and the issue will end there. Then Mi Ran won't pretend to be her Mom.

I think we still have another 30-40+ episodes before Eun Seol and everyone else finds out about the switch, though, so Eun Seol will just focus on her investigation.

Makjang is wild but this one has been pretty tame so far. I have watched a daily with a body swap caused by lightning😂😂.

The writers made it so obvious that the only reason they wanted Mi Ran to check Seok Jin's tuxedo size was so she could find the lighter. Hae Ra took Seok Jin shopping recently, so she knows his size. And why couldn't Jeong Seon just send Seok Jin a message to ask?🤦‍♀️

I doubt they knew. They probably just edited the date, post-production.

A lot is happening in these episodes.
I absolutely love Hyeon Jae and and Mi Rae's relationship. They told each other everything. Hyeon Jae even told her that Eun Seol rejected his feelings. That is really sweet. I would have loved to watch that conversation. And despite his heartbreak, he still encouraged his sister to pursue love 🥹. I really miss Hyeon Jae.

It never once crossed my mind that Mi Rae's ex might figure out that there was a switch. I thought he would just be happy to find his spawn. But he is a curious one and he will somehow figure out that there was switch. I doubt he will figure out who the other child is, unless Mi Ran pretends to be Eun Seol's Mom. So will he try to blackmail Mi Ran with this information or will he just go straight to Hae Ra and spill the tea? Probably the latter, given how violent Secretary Choi is. I guess this is why they have Eun Seol looking for her Mom first. Eun Seol and Mi Ran's ex are on a similar trajectory.

Yeong Hoon's story is full of jealousy, embezzlement and murder. He probably approached Jeong Seon so he could marry into a rich family😡. Mi Ran should try seducing the driver so she can get the real story😂😂. I wonder if Seong Woo ever told So Yeon that Yeong Hun was embezzling funds?🤔🤔 Or anyone else? That is information that Seok Jin needs so he can figure out what really happened. Yeong Hun asked about So Yeon's next check-up. I hope he won't try to have her drugged.

I am so glad that the writers don't have So Yeon having these outbursts of information around Eun Seol. That would have led to Eun Seol informing Seok Jin, and being more involved in their lives, bringing her closer to Seok Jin. So glad the writers did not do this.

Next episode, Eun Seol goes from hearing the name, Ae Sook, for the first, to figuring out that it might be Mi Ran, after going to the address of the fake Ae Sook.😂😂. Lightning speed revelations, all coinciding with the engagement party. I am still hopeful that Eun Seol will secretly do a DNA test.
What are the odds that the maternity book is in one of Mi Ran's desk drawers at the office?

Yes- and they actually can afford to move because Eun Seol has a good job.

Poor Mi Rae😪. The actress is playing the grieving sister role so well. Which is why it is strange that her son is so happy all the time.

Yes- that ex🙆‍♀️. And Eun Guk is not much competition for the guy. First, he is young, not very well educated and has no career. So he does not have the know-how to deal with him. Hyeon Jae would have dealt with him easily.
Maybe if the ex starts harassing her, Mi Rae will be forced to ask the family to stay. Her son likes them too.

I hope she falls hard for him so she can have her heart broken on top of everything else😂😂. I hope he does not develop romantic feelings for her.

I don't think she pays rent- they are probably paying her more since she is their house manager. Am guessing the pay package includes food and accommodation. They can now add sleeping with the husband to her list of duties😂😂.

Oh no- there's still too many episodes left. If their relationship falls apart now, it will give Seok Jin plenty of time to make inroads with Eun Seol🙆‍♀️.

True- and Mi Ran and Choi's timing was impeccable- as he was about to tell her, Hyeon Jae got that text.
Maybe Mi Ran pretending to be Eun Seol's mother is the only way Eun Seol will be able to spot the other glove in Mi Ran's bedroom? What mother would not want to show her daughter where she sleeps? For now, Eun Seol thinks nothing of the glove that Eun Guk found, but finding a similar one, and for the other hand, in Mi Ran's bedroom, will certainly make her suspicious, if she is not already suspicious at that point.

Yes- then Eun Seol will forget that Hyeon Jae told her several times to be wary of Mi Ran🤦🏾‍♂️.

Yesterday, Yeong Hun advised Hae Ra to talk to Seok Jin about what to do with his Mom, after the engagement. So I think it will happen.
Right now, Seok Jin and Hae Ra's goals for this marriage are aligned but by the time the engagement party comes around, I think Hae Ra would have been told by her bio-dad who she really is, and Seok Jin would have uncovered a bit more about his Dad and Yeong Hun. So they will get engaged, but now with different goals- Hae Ra to solidify her place in the company for fear she will be dethroned by the real heiress, and Seok Jin to get more information about what really happened to his Dad. Also, I don't think Seok Jin can afford to skip his own engagement- that would be a career killer. And it's far too early to remove him from Hae Ra's side.

I cannot see what he sees in her. She is so fake to everyone except to Hae Ra. Eun Seol spotted her fakeness pretty early but then forgot because she and her Mom were friends🤦🏾‍♂️.

If they wanted to blackmail her, they would have kept the glove. And the police did not find it 🤦🏾‍♂️. So it's likely just another one of Mi Ran's mistakes, and Eun Guk got lucky and found the glove.
I still believe that he is alive somewhere but likely in a coma. And if there is a witness, which there likely is, or someone who showed up after the fact, I doubt they would have left him lying there. But the news report said the warehouse manager found him.

I just worry that Eun Seol will actually take Seok Jin back 😭😭.

Mi Rae is not happy at all, and understandably so. I think Eun Seol and her family should just move out and find somewhere else to stay.
