Unfortunately, if Seok Jin gets together with Eun Seol, he won't need to fight.

Far from it- he is still in the grey. He wants Eun Seol but wants power more. He can still change his mind. And as long as there is still a possibility that he and Eun Seol are endgame, the writers cannot make him dark.

Was thinking the same about Seok Jin🙈. He saw Hyeon Jae as competition and with him gone, Eun Seol is free for him.

Jeong Seon is certainly not safe.

Well Hyeon Jae was with her through the most difficult time of her life when she was grieving and incarcerated. And he is the only one who visited her jail, consistently, over 10 years- her family didn't. He was there when she tried to commit suicide and he encouraged her to live. Out of everyone in her life, he knows the most about her. He even worked hard to get her out of jail early. So she owes him a lot. And she took it for granted that they could see each other everyday.

Between Mi Ran and Secretary Choi, none of them thought to search Hyeon Jae's office in case he left something crucial in there?

Hae Ra is on cloud 9, having the time of her life. At least her bubble is about to burst.

Why doesn't Seok Jin just cancel the engagement? He looks miserable. I hope he didn't think Eun Seol was crying because of him 😂. It was so rude the way he interrupted her and his Mom.

At least Eun Seol is meeting with Manager Na's daughter in the next episode. That is another loose end that Mi Ran failed to deal with. She is really sloppy lately.

Also, is Jeong Seon trying to set Mi Ran up on a blind date?

Eun Guk is so sweet. I guess he told his Dad and Grandma that he is in love with Mi Rae.

Why have we not had a scene with Eun Seol's family comforting Eun Seol about Hyeon Jae. They know what they meant to each other so it is a little odd.

Maybe learning about what happened to his Dad and eventually losing Eun Seol is what will tip Seok Jin over to the dark side? We already know that he does not take rejection very well, and finding out that he could have been with Eun Seol all along will make him even angrier.
Eun Seol has repeatedly, and openly, shown that she wants him, so for her to eventually reject him....

Eun Seol also described Hyeon Jae as being like her brother, but I think her feelings go deeper than that. She certainly does not feel the same way about her real brother whom she has known all her life. If Hyeon Jae does return, we might very well see her feelings become romantic especially now that she knows what it feels like to live without him. She has been so obsessed with her feelings for Seok Jin that she has not noticed any other feelings. So, hopefully, as Seok Jin continues to disappoint her, she will get over him. There's also that montage of scenes between Hyeon Jae and Eun Seol that Hyeon Jae gave us as he was 'dying'. That was an interesting scene for the writers to give us- it felt more like the beginning of something and not the end. They even excluded the scenes of him taking her to her bed when she was drunk- a scene they are likely saving for later.
I hope we get to have an emotional reunion between the two.

Mi Ran hugging Secretary Choi is interesting. Maybe it was the beginning of her manipulations. But since she has been making donations to the orphanage, maybe it was just for press? Because if she had been preparing him to work for her, why wasn't he her first contact when she was looking for a new assistant? She went through the director of the orphanage, first, and the director recommended him. Maybe he is working with the director on something Mi Ran- related 🤷.

It depends on whether he finds out about his Dad and Yeong Hun before or after that revelation. Learning that Eun Seol's bio-dad might be responsible for his Dad's death will be a bitter pill to swallow.

But the realisation that he could have been with Eun Seol all along, and achieve his goals at the same time, will sting and he will regret it and try to make up for it

I hope Eun Seol gets over him and moves on. He is her first love, but he does not have to be her last. Any foundation they had before has crumbled. Seok Jin should not be rewarded for his poor decision-making. Even his Mom wants him to marry Eun Seol.

But the writers will keep the love triangle going for a while, just to continue the rivalry between Eun Seol and Hae Ra. Thankfully, at least Hae Ra will have something bigger to fight Eun Seol for- the throne.

Exactly. He is on the fence- it's like the writers almost want us to feel sorry for him. But they have not really justified his desire for wealth. If he was being forced to marry Hae Ra out of family obligation, we might feel sorry for him because he likes someone else. But that's not the case. He is forcing this marriage and is happy to flirt with Eun Seol at the same time. Now he is unhappy because Eun Seol has refused to continue to participate.

Maybe the writers have done this deliberately so we can watch him grow into the man he wants to be. I do wonder, though, if Eun Seol had never been arrested and they were actually together during those 10 years, would he have let go of his ambitions or would he have eventually ditched her to marry into power?

💯It's hard to figure out what the writers have planned for those two and it worries me. He does not deserve her.

She described Hyun Jae as being like her brother and a tree whose shade she lived under. I do think that if he does end up coming back alive, this is subject to change- especially now that she knows what it feels like to live without him. That will be quite the emotional reunion.

She needs to get over her first love , though. She trusted Hyeon Jae, completely, and Seok Jin has proved that he cannot be trusted.

I saw this character profile for Seok Jin and it twists the truth a little bit:

"Cha Seok-jin, the Cheongma Group Head of Strategic Planning. He is Eun-seol's first love, but was engaged in an arranged marriage to Hae-ra."

He and Hae Ra arranged this marriage, on their own. In fact they chose it and forced their parents to accept it so he is not a victim in this. I would rather they make him ambitious and greedy so that when the truth about the switch comes out, he can try to pursue the real heiress to feed his greed. This arrangement would be even better for him because he actually likes her, romantically. Then disgusted, Eun Seol can start to dislike him and reject him.

The profile also says, "was" - will the engagement end soon? I hope not.

😂 The writers might just reward him for his bad behaviour by giving him Eun Seol.

Looks like there is no episode today 😪. But the preview for episode 46 says Eun Seol opens the USB left by Hyun Jae and falls into deep doubt. As Jeong Seon keeps Mi Ran in check, Mi Ran digs deeper into Yeong Hun's heart.

😂😂😂😂😂taking out two people from the same company. It will take a lot to make Jeong Seon believe that she actually did it.

Maybe there's something up with the translation. But I think he is the same guy who gave Eun Seol Manager Na's suicide note at the police station. He also took Mi Ran's statement and when he investigated, he found out about Ae Sook. Secretary Choi also told him that he would lose his detective licence if it was revealed that he gave out personal information.

I laughed when Mi Ran told Yeong Hun and Jeong Seon that killings are on the rise like in the 80s. If I didn't know any better, I would say she was experimenting with killing in the 80s😂😂😂. But I doubt it. Her first murder was Eun Seol's Mom and in the 10 years after that, she has perfected her craft and settled on an untraceable lethal drug.

The funeral was wrapped up far too quickly, including the autopsy. We didn't see him close his eyes- Mi Ran left before making sure he was dead. With Eun Seol's Mom and Manager Na, we saw dead bodies.

Plus the detective knew he would be there since he sent the message. He must have known that something nefarious would be going down. He should have been curious unless he cares about his career more. It was also sloppy of Secretary Choi to use him like that. He is a potential witness.

Hopefully, it's not flashbacks 😂😂.

The friend who sent the message is a detective. Hyun Jae had called him to ask for more info on Manager Na but Secretary Choi had already blackmailed him. So later on, Secretary Choi instructed him to reach out saying he had the files-that's why Hyun Jae went to meet him.

I did not see her leave anything either. She yanked off the gloves and shoved them into her pocket.
