Oh the ex-hubby was the real ML of that show. He was brilliant. He got me to sympathise with him after all the evil he had done. I think what helped was that he was genuinely sorry for all that he had done and he realised what he had lost in Jae In. He was also never really happy after all his evil deeds. And he also lost two kids too- well three if you count the son he had with the SFL. It didn't hurt that he had great chemistry with Jae In, either.

No😭- she injected him with her lethal injection after Secretary Choi had him brutally beaten up. The funeral is on Monday😪. Choi does not know about the injection, though, so it looks like he killed him. He will be guilt-ridden on Monday.

So Hyeon Jae is dead. But it's makjang- if the writers want to bring him back in the future, they can always say that he was rescued and his rescuer faked his death.

Queen's House? And that after she also had a miscarriage and was institutionalised. The FL really went through a lot in that one. Backstabbed by her husband, bestie and family. That's why the ML in that one really annoyed me- when it was not about revenge, he was all about falling in love- hardly giving her time to grieve and heal.

That's the best that Mi Ran could come up with? She is not very bright. So Secretary Choi really thought Hyeon Jae would survive the beating? That was near fatal. I guess since he beat up a lot of people while growing up, he knows how not to beat someone to death.

He will realise it but he seems scared of Mi Ran so he might not do anything. I hope he reaches out to Eun Seol, at least.

😭😭😭Incredibly sad. It shows that everyone is fair game. They are trying to be as unpredictable as possible. Where will Eun Seol go from here. 56 episodes left- where will she begin? She does not even know who she is looking for, and she is friendly with both her enemies. She will just have to get clues by accident.
Watching the show from now will be hard for me😪.

Yes- Mi Ran killed Hyeon Jae😭.

Ohhh- that will be interesting. But I'm sure Mi Ran will find a way to close the case or Secretary Choi will take the fall.

I have been wondering the same- maybe the writer and actor didn't get along. A few weeks ago, someone said the writer had changed.
Or maybe this was the plan all along- to kill off a main character for the shock value. Maybe the writers want to try new things and to be different from the other shows. And to be memorable.
For the desired impact, it had to be a loved character who would garner outrage from fans and Hyeon Jae did a good job of winning us over. If Seok Jin was the one who had died, I would not have even shed a tear. I wouldn't have even cared.

I would be extra grateful to the writers, though, if they shock us again and resurrect Hyeon Jae at a later stage.

Yeah- I already have an idea of how they can do it. Several episodes from now, when everything looks so dire for Team Eun Seol, Secretary Choi will walk into a dark room where there will be a beeping sound. The camera will turn to focus on Hyeon Jae, lying in a bed and in a coma. And the episode will end and it will be on a Friday.

This is makjang so anything goes and anything is possible. Maybe it will turn out that the lethal injection was not so lethal for him or it had expired😂. One thing for sure, the writers are making it very clear to us that lethal injections are her thing and they might be her downfall as well. But why is her ex still alive? Makes no sense.

I hope Choi recorded Mi Ran with Hyeon Jae so he can have leverage on her.

Very possible but the problem is the injection- without that, he might still be alive. Hopefully, the writers want to throw us completely off and surprise us in the future.

So will Eun Seol need to find a new lawyer now? No other lawyer will do the case justice. It needs someone who was there from the beginning and is passionate about it. But then again. she will become an heiress and Jeong Seon is well connected.

No one wants Eun Seol and Seok Jin together 😂😂. At this point, Seok Jin is Hae Ra's sloppy seconds. Eun Seol should not settle for that. And honestly, at the moment, Choi is far more useful to Eun Seol than Seok Jin is.

Yes, Choi will be promoted. But he would need to do a lot to redeem himself in my book. I foresee him dying while saving Eun Seol or something.

Hyeon Jae's death was far too sudden.

I don't think anything can prepare you. It's just so gruesome and heartbreaking. What makes it worse is the scenes between Eun Seol's Dad and Grandma, and Eun Guk and Mi Rae which are interspersed in between. Their scenes seem out of place compared to what is going on between Mi Ran and Hyeon Jae. So you will have to suffer through those first.
