It fast forwarded to when she was in high school, so Jae He might have been done with his schooling in Alaska,…
Awwm that's good - I'd guessed she was in high school, but having a gaming obsessed daughter I thought perhaps Mirae had found solace in that without JaeHe around but didn't want to admit it to her friends. Thank you for explaining and I'm glad he was back, even if we didn't see him. :)
@kahoko - same. I've watched EVERY version of Meteor Garden and Mischievous Kiss.....even the truly, epicly DIRE…
Absolutely - I so wanted her to choose him....SLS so BAD. The only time I've had it worse was over Ji Hoon in Boys over Flowers. Bo Gum was just heartbreaking in this.....I actually cried over him. Mind you, he has that effect on me - his little bottom lip goes and I'm reaching for the tissues. :)
I'm really looking forward to this! I just LOVE Nodame Cantabile and will never get tired of remakes.
@kahoko - same. I've watched EVERY version of Meteor Garden and Mischievous Kiss.....even the truly, epicly DIRE Taiwanese remake called Miss in Kiss. To me they're almost like franchises now. So hopefully this will spur another round on of them ALL. :) My favourite of the Cantabiles was the 2014 South Korean one - the love triangle was just brilliant and I was truly torn between Park Bo Gum's character and Joo Won's as it was clear they both loved her.
Well, this is another drama that's developing it's own franchise just like Meteor Garden - and I do love following them just to see how each country does them differently but also the same. So far out of the two Nodame Cantabiles that have been done (Japan and SK) I loved the the South Korean version the most - it was just more emotional (for me anyway - and the Maestro was a jerk but not as sadistic as the Japanese version....in fact all the 'bad guys' including Joo Won's character were less spiteful overall). But I think that the whole emotional rollercoaster of the love triangle was more down to Joo Won, Shim Eun Kyung and Park Bo Gum. So we'll see how China does... :)
I know any of these people :v please enlighten me so I can know any of their work
@biased -- I love all his work and he's never done any bad movie or drama. But my personal favourites are Naeil's Cantabile and Good Doctor (in that order). In fact it was his role in Good Doctor that inspired the American version! If you like quirky movies then Fashion King (my favourite of all his movies) is very good. :)
Ever since the despicable way Johhny Zhang and Timmy Xu were treated over Addicted I ALWAYS watch their stuff - they deserve ALL the support. :) Even this one, where I can guarantee she'll end up being as wide as a single vertical human rib and with the beauty of an elf by the end.
If 1 is the lowest of tears and 10 is the highest - then I'd say it's about a 2-3 (and even then only at moments); at least it was like this for me......and my husband says I'd cry at a pudding rolling in the road (though if it was chocolate, he's probably not wrong). It's not particularly sad, but you will get REALLY mad at the bad guys. It has a happy ending. :)
I binged this over two days on Netflix UK and I can only say this - WATCH IT! It was exceptionally good. Han So Yun (beautifully played by Go Sung Hee) is LONELY.....like down to the depths of her soul, deep in her bones lonely, so Holo starts out as the friend she's been genuinely LONGING for even if she's the only one who can see him.
Let's face it how many only children out there like me had pretend friends only we could see when we got lonely? To me, this was the same in a way. Go Sung Hee really plays her character well and you so want it all to turn out right for her.
Go Nan Do who invents Holo (and looks like him), is the brains behind Holo's existence. Yoon Hyun Min is as brilliant as always and plays both Go Nan Do and Holo to perfection.
I can't say much more without giving spoilers (I'll be ticking the box anyway just for safety), but I will say you will be rooting for ALL three main characters and you be riled up in places too. I cant tell you how much I loved this. If you can find it subbed, or have access to Netflix UK like me, then please be assured, it's REALLY worth watching; so much so it'll be near the top of my favourites re-watch list. :)
They had me at girl boxer. My late uncle taught me to box when I was a kid; I kept it up for a long time too. He said girls should be able to box, even said I had a right hook that many of his boys he was training back then would envy. LOL! He said at the very least it would mean girls could protect themselves "against any dickheads being arseholes" - it certainly helped me more than once, especially in high school when me and my friends were being bullied. I learnt fighting back helped lessen the hell! :) So I'm totally in - oh and my mother in law hates me (tells me so regularly) so I want to see this one go DOWN! XDXD
I love how the synopsis says he's taken to America where he doesn't see the previous lives anymore......does that mean those of us in the West just live the one life?! LOL!
I wonder the same, I guess you're referring to that creepy naked scene from the trailer... :/
I know that Japan has many different taboos to the rest of us but, having read your comment, I'm asking the same question....what studio executive would see this as being acceptable to ANYONE? I always thought the 'I watch you sleep' in Twilight was creepy af; I NEVER understand why people find that romantic unless one of the couple is sick/hurt/mentally ill and the other is worried and sitting round the clock with them. I am so glad I shifted this to my drop list. As a victim of a violent ex who raped me, I could NOT have sat through it........ :$ I can only assume Yamada Yuki must be absolutely DESPERATE for acting work to take this sick mess on.

It might have it and does have a lot of other subbed BL series there.
