I've been looking for it too! I couldn't find it :((
The drama's only just started but, once it's been going for a few weeks, we might be lucky and it'll pop up on youtube....or someone will let us know. It's just such a beautiful song though, right? :)
Reminds me of one of my favorite gateway dramas, "My Name Is Kim Sam-soon." She wasn't really fat either, but…
Just like She was Pretty - no way was she ugly. I should know as the Queen of the Uglies. The Chinese version (Pretty Li Hui Zhen) was worse because the only 'ugly thing was her glasses!
Let's be honest here people. This isn't just a Korean problem. Setting beauty standards and fat shaming is a problem…
Thank you for so succinctly summing it up. My daughter is overweight; she knows it, we all know it and she's taking steps to change it and lose the excess - but she's doing so in a slow and steady way. However, the amount of friends who constantly put her down about it and then say things like "but I'm doing this as a friend....." NO, you're not. However, I can guarantee if she starved herself and lost the weight quickly they'd all be moaning at her for losing it in an unhealthy way; so she can't win. Thank God her best friend is supportive and keeps telling her not to worry; she has anxiety issues already so you can imagine how these constant putdowns make her feel.
This is a gay drama from China - the country that has BANNED LGBT+ movies, books, etc. I can't see this ever being released due to that ban, even if it has an unhappy ending the Chinese censors always demand.
I'm always for the underdog - my husband calls me the Patron Saint of Lost Causes. I tell him we're not lost, just taking the scenic route and I'm the tour guide. We'll get to the same place everyone else is rushing to, just a bit slower.
Your quote Socrates is one I hold dear and always remember. Along with another by the great Irish orator, Edmund Burke - "the only way for evil to truly triumph, is for good men to do nothing". Well, I might be an old, crippled woman, but I will most certainly not do nothing if I see someone needing help, support or even just a hug.
I'm a BIG hugger - I genuinely believe there's nothing that can't be fixed with a warm hug, hot cocoa and chocolate. So, like you, I'd have been desperately trying to save Hyeon Moo. I haven't seen it yet, but it will be moving to the top of my (lengthy) to-watch list. Thank you for another amazing article. You really are an amazing writer.
I don't know what part of the States you live in, but I got family all over the country and that's NEVER been heard of by them. It's certainly not a thing here in the UK. HALF siblings means they share the blood of one parent and yes, both in the US and here in the UK it's taboo for those siblings to be together romantically. My family in the US tell me that step siblings mean the same there as it does here - children only related by the marriage of their parents, NOT by blood.
Also step siblings, growing up together is NOT taboo there any more than it is anywhere else. My gay cousin grew up with his best friend - they were like twins all their lives; virtually raised together at my aunt's house. When they were 18 they realised they had romantic feelings for each other - going by your insane logic, they shouldn't be together either because they were raised as brothers because no one had realised they were gay (even they didn't until they were in their mid to late teens).
So I suggest you do some research on how the world thinks rather than just your peculiar hometown.
I'm so sorry you went through something so sad! Stay strong, hug your daughter and help her find amazing friends.…
You are so right - here in the UK it's all about rankings AND money.....the higher the rank, the more sought after the school by parents, the more students that attend - and the more government cash they get.
I doubt I will be able to watch I think - will bring back too many bad memories. My school was very rough and violent. Teachers turned blind eyes to serious shit and only intervened when it was another teacher being beaten. SOme of the teachers were also violent, another was a violent alcoholic who put one of my friends in hospital. So for me, it would be too hard. But thank you so much for your advice. :)
This one will be a hard bet then, because the answer is yes and no. For most of the series, Da Il is not dead…
I'm going with the 'hadn't thought that far' and soon the writers will be face palming and bashing their heads off walls as the reality of the dead end they're stuck in dawns. XD

That does have me worried about season 2 - it's a bit 'the ghost and Mrs Muir' really, him having to wait until she ages and dies...OR maybe him getting to inhabit another body if the owner pegs out? Still, it's very shaky ground, so maybe the unrequited love route because one of them's dead? I do wonder if the writers have written themselves into a major corner?
Have you tried YouTube or Dailymotion, they often crop up there.....? Just an idea.
I've had another idea - maybe look on Netflix? They get a TON of South Korean dramas, a lot of my favourites are on there. So this is a possible. Search under South Korea, or one of the actors names as drama names are often different. Like 'The Heirs' has just gone up but as the 'Inheritors'.
Well, that's at least made my suffering worthwhile - it's why I wrote the review in the first place. I NEVER wanted…
Oh yeah - apparently I'm 'selfish' because I have just been told I have a prolapsed disc needing an op and it means I'll be even worse getting around than usual (I'm partially disabled). So it means my husband won't be waiting on her all the time. Hence me being selfish. She's giving my daughter a broken cat ornament for christmas because she 'can't afford anything else', but bought a present for her HAIRDRESSER who's 'like a daughter' to her (shame said hairdresser doesn't pay off some of her debts like we're having too). I could go on (and on and on) but you get the picture! LOL!
How was yours? That bad or worse? God I hope they weren't worse - that would literally be Satan and wife right? :$

Bullying is so rife globally and yet no educational system ANYwhere in the world will do anything to change it. It's so stupid. Thanks for the advice; I'm going to take it and miss this, I don't really need to visit with my old demons. THANK YOU for letting me know.
