One of the characters gets shot in the head and it's a clear head shot unlike do kang woo's and he still survives! Another man is strangled with a fish wire and also survives
So why can't it be possible here? It wouldn't be the first time a character was presumed dead only to be brought back. Its not even illogical for him to be brought back. It was his death that was actually illogical. After giving us all the hope that do kang woo isnt a lost cause, that a cure is possible, they just kill him? Im not buying it.

I know I'm saturating the comment section at this point, but I've been rewatching some of my favourite thrillers (because this year's thrillers were kinda disappointing, weren't as dark as the ones released from 2017-2019, exceptions being hellbound, hometown and happiness)

I remember voice season 2 episode 10 had similar situation where the male lead grabs the female lead and makes her his hostage (he was pointing a gun at her) but then he whispers that he's only pretending. The female lead didn't know he was pretending until he told her. So not exactly a true hostage situation but close enough.
If you are talking about shows where the male lead points a weapon at the female lead, there are plenty of those.

You should keep up with the case if it bothered you that much. He was found innocent by the court. Not only did he willingly give over his phone and other devices, also stated that he would cooperate with the investigation within a few days of being accused. Instead of settling with the accuser as most korean actors do after being accused, he counter sued. The woman was found guilty and served time in jail.
There have been many actors that have been accused in recent years and despite reaching court settlements or being cleared, their cases have been shady enough for the public to still eye them with suspicion (examples being park yoo chun and park shi hoo). Reason being that his case was very straightforward and crystal clear. Plus the police investigations revealed that everything was fabricated.

2021 was a strange year for me. Shows that i enjoyed (like the thriller, hometown) didnt get the attention of the masses while Shows that were meh for me ended up being big hits. This is particularly strange because this was the year of action thrillers which is my preferred genre.

Liar game has two verisons, i have only seen the korean version and i liked it a lot. The japanese version has more seasons though.
I have seen may 3 or 4 cdramas and i usually fast forward them :P i think the only cdrama i truly enjoyed watching was flourish in time.
To be honest i too almost dropped memories of alhambra at one point but im glad I didn't because it got pretty good. There was a reason for all that build up. But then again i know many people that didnt really like it.

I started watching kdramas back in 2016 and though i started off with romance heavy shows, i eventually gravitated towards crime thrillers with a darker atmosphere. Not that i dislike romance but i just prefer a more subtle kind of romance.
My personal recommendations would be:

Funnily enough, i didn't dislike the CGI in hellbound. I thought it kind of fit the atmosphere of the show

I honestly find nothing wrong with the way you critic the episodes. The problem here is that most of the people watching the show are fans of the female lead and dont realize that the comment sections in MDL of almost all dramas are the same. One of my favourite dramas of all time gets regularly bashed on a daily basis and i don't mind it. One of my least favourite shows has people singing praises all the time. I still don't mind. Most (not all) people that find your reviews offensive are probably people that recently made their accounts because of this drama and dont realize that this is a normal thing on MDL.

You do realize this is a korean show....about koreans....about what happened in korea in 1987.....made for the korean audience to watch? Like literally the korean audience comes first? Im not saying anything about whether the show should be cancelled or not, what im saying is you are horrible for writing such things when you are watching a korean show in the first place. How would you like it if a show in your country is being protested against and an outsider comes in to say they don't give a damn and just want to watch it?

As someone who disliked black as well, i think the problem was the ending. The ending completely destroyed the drama. That and the forced humour and romance. If the drama had removed these and stuck with the dark themes i would have loved it because i really did like the core mystery. Also i actually liked the original grim reaper a little more than when he became SSH. He just had that edgy look fit for the character

I dont really read fanfics anymore (used to read them 8-9 years ago) so i wouldn't know :P
