I recommend you watch season 1 first before season 2 to know how the characters got together, to understand their background, and gain a better appreciation of them in season 2. You would also get more context if you watch S1 first.

"Murder on the Orient Express" is also what I thought of as I finished "The Letter from Shangxian Hall".

They're not very vocal about their romantic feelings but they express them with their actions, like the things they do for their lady love 😍.

Still watching season 2 but I'm already looking forward to a season 3! 😊

You nailed it. I just finished part 1 and I have grown to like Pei Xijun's character 😊. Sometimes, one has to continue watching to understand and appreciate a character more.

I agree! FL's character developed a lot as the drama moves along, and I also ended up liking her! She's smart and charming, and made important contributions in many of the cases.

I decided to watch this drama when I saw part 2 being aired, and I'm I glad I did! I like the diverse cast, interesting cases, and the growth and relationship dynamics of the characters, especially Su Wu Ming, Lu Ling Feng, Pei Xi Jun, Fei Ji Shi and Xue Huan. It was fun solving the cases with them 👏. And I have to say, Xue Huan is adorable 😊. At least I can continue with part 2, without having to wait for months (or even years).

Saw this in iQiyi and it airs tonight, 1130pm SGT. Looking forward to watch Jing Tian in another drama! It's interesting to see Zhang Li He and Darren Chen here too.

Some thoughts after finishing this drama yesterday:
1. The 3 couples are interesting and paired quite well, but my favorites are the main couple and 2nd couple. I'm glad that the 2nd and 3rd pairs got their airtime and story too.
2. Some parts dragged a bit, but as a whole, it's interesting enough to keep me watching because I wanted to know what's going to happen next.
3. Good romance and OST, intriguing premise, great fight scenes, and diverse cast of characters.
4. Good production and costume design, e.g., Jiang Xin Bai's well-matched attire and Yan Nan Xing's clothes.
5. I like the nice and well executed ending 😊.

Overall, this is a good and enjoyable drama for me.

I think it's because at this point in the story, Yan Nan Xing was not ready to fully trust Jiang Xin Bai again (or he has not fully regained her trust).

I started this drama a few days ago and now I'm on ep 22, and still enjoying it. I binged-watched several episodes the other day 😄.

Thanks for your concise yet spoiler-free review 😊! I'm just starting this drama, although it's been on my watchlist for sometime. I like Jing Tian and I've watched a number of her dramas. She has class, style and that pleasing aura. It's my first time to watch Timmy Xu and so far, he fits the role (now I have another reason to watch Ping Pong Life, he and BJT are there). Though I'm only a few epsiodes in, I can already feel the chemistry between them 😊.
