I have to scroll back 4 months' worth of comments before I recall that we exchanged some views on the page of the TLB. Yes, lots of people from that page are already here. But, they are the early birds, with time to kill. More will be here, once The Blue Whisper is aired. But, I am not sure if we can recreate the same kind of atmosphere. The comment section in TLB was just so special. Hopefully, this section can be special as well. That could happen, once more Allen fans join us.

I am not sure the rating here in MDL will jump by that much, just because of one scene. But I do think that viewership in China would have jumped by millions, if there was a real kiss scene between the two of them.

They do not really have to do a lot for ratings to jump. If only they did one real-kiss scene, that scene with the two parrots. Take away those parrots and do a real kiss, and ratings and viewership would have jumped!

They cannot do too many kiss scenes, or the drama will lose its focus.

How do you know this for a fact?? Any evidence to support your view?

And if it is not because of that no-kissing contract, do you have a better explanation why they did not do that kiss scene? Clearly, Dilraba does not have any problem doing kisses.

I tested to see if it works. It does not. Not from my location. But I am ok. I have Viu and can re-watch just about anytime I want.

Yes, I think it has more to do with our own anxiety than anything else. After a fantastic 2021, and an almost certain success in 2022 (when TBW and LOA are aired), I guess our greed got better of us, and we just want to know what's in store for her new projects.

It does not help to know that some other well known stars have ready new projects lined up, right after shooting their latest dramas. We just figured that even if she does not begin shooting the next drama till one or two months down the road, at least the road map should have been laid out.

4 successes in a row now (TLB, YAMG, TBW, LOA). It should not be too difficult for her and her team to figure out which next project would be best?? Perhaps a decision is coming soon!

Pretty good, I must say. The drama stays faithful to the manhua, putting central focus on the character development of Li Changge, and secondary focus on her relationship with Ashile Sun. When the manhua got stuck, lots of stuff were not written. The two screenwriters basically had to carry the story forward and make it work for the viewing audience. Given the number of views in China, the awards that this drama has won and all the other achievements, we must conclude that the script was a good one.

In all honesty, the script is not perfect; but then, which drama has a perfect script? A story so tight, so engaging, we can find no flaw?? There is no perfect 10 around, so the script for The Long Ballad is pretty close to it. For a 49 episode drama, the number of flaws is suprisingly small.

Yeah. That is a good thing to do, for those with Indonesian friends. Some months ago, I think it was already available in Netflix Taiwan. The biggest market is still the US. Given that TLB won some prizes there, Netflix USA should pick it up.

She can rest, for sure. I mean, no need to start filming right away. But, at least decide now?? Can film late Jan or even Feb 2022. But she does need to film around that time, for her new drama to be out by 2023.

There are some good scripts for modern dramas around, for sure. Her agency staff have had months to look at them, while she was filming TBW and LOA. Now is a good time to decide, even while she could be attending all those galas and events.

Agree! Just wish she could make up her mind as soon as possible, so we could go the MDL page and support her next drama.
