LYN has officially wrapped filming on 11/11! Check out photos!
Thanks!! You have just arrived on this page!

How about the rest? They would usually have an end of filming ceremony, and the entire cast and production team will come together for a photoshoot. Nothing like that?

They do look good together. Very comfortable with each other.
But the opposite is also true. In modern dramas, Yang Yang looks better than Allen. Allen has this funny hairstyle in modern dramas, with hair from one of his sides dropping over his forehead. Half his forehead is blocked by his hair!

Season two has been completed I heard. Scenes from the second half of the book have been leaked. I loved the novel…
Oh, yah, there some people on season 2 page who mentioned that they merely finished filming season 1. Those people are likely wrong. Because, it will take a lot of effort to bring everyone back, just to film season 2. And a big delay between filming seasons 1 and 2 will mean a big gap between airing of season 1 and 2, which is not a good thing. People would have forgotten season 1, by the time they watched season 2.

So, we do feel that they are all done with filming this drama. It has been reduced from the original 60 episodes to around 43-44 episodes, and this is likely done by cutting out many of the side stories in the novel, and focus on the main story involving Reba and Allen's characters.

Great! Any more details? Post below saying it might be as a brother and sister.
If it is romance between an older female and younger male, I think Reba and Wu Lei will be great. There are two such cdramas in 2021 (The Rational Life; My Fated Boy) and both are quite nice. So, if Reba and Wu Lei do try something like this, and the script is good, it should be a good one.

Title My Fated Boy
This was much better than You Are My Glory on top of that. YAMG was a mess.
Do not be deceived by the fluff in YAMG. There are hidden messages in YAMG that are very similar to My Fated Boy. In YAMG, the main characters were from different worlds. One a highly successful celebrity/actress, the other an aerospace engineer struggling with career and money issues. He was only able to love her, after he realised that they can still have a great relationship, even if he initially feels that there is no much he can offer her or he is not worthy of her.

She, on the other hand, was not looking for him to support her. She has plenty of money, much more than him. She just want to be there, to support his dream in space exploration. YAMG did not fall flat, whether you are talking about number of views or from a commercial viewpoint. It has more than 4B views by now, and is Tencent's most profitable drama in 2021. Next year, Yang Yang and Dilraba may well win some acting awards.

Here, in My Fated Boy, the underlying message is similar. They too were from different worlds. She is already far along in her career and he merely started out on his. They also have a barrier to overcome: The age barrier. But the story is well written, because both sets of parents were friends from long ago, and despite their status differences, both sets of parents are supportive of their relationship.

I have no problem appreciating both dramas, and each has its own charm. I find YAMG to have a slightly more serious tone, but My Fated Boy to be slighly more comedic. But both dramas worked their magic.

YAMG is highly successful, from a commerical point of view, because Dilraba and Yang Yang are high traffic stars and Tencent did a great job promoting that drama.

But, My Fated Boy is also a successful one too. May not be as successful commercially compared to YAMG, but, in terms of story telling, and acting by the cast, everything is well executed. I was quite shocked that the bedroom scene here showed more skin than in YAMG.

Stuck at ep 14. Don`t care for the plot at all. So far I only liked the scenes of the FL and ML together. Only…
Character driven episodes are central to or are linked to the plot. If you are E14, you should keep going. Many exciting stuff are coming up.

They filmed the entire thing in less than 4 months, indicating combined episode count of something like 43-44 episodes. If so, they may not even need to split into season 1 & 2. Can just show it as a single drama.

I know why we feel that the wait is too long. We got spoilt. After watching TLB, we hanged around so long on that…
But there were those who felt that certain things were not up to par, after watching the trailer. They will need a bit of time to fix those.

I like your magic! Q1 for TBW is very likely. But, if they want to show LOA for Q2 of 2022, that means TBW will…
Yes. With pearl eclipse out of the way by early Dec, Youku now has a free hand. Of all the shows around, they do not want PE to clash with TBW, as that would mean pitting Yang Mi against Reba.

YAMG is still on my constant rewatch on my Youtube and WeTv but still gave same excitement and happiness rewatching…
Will have to wait till 2023, to watch her next modern drama. It is long long wait

Go watch Novoland Pearl Eclipse. Storyline bears some resemblance to One and Only. Love between a teacher and disciple, and female disciple got snatched by a third party. Sad ending. Sounds familiar??? Just aired yesterday.

Or, you want to try Kdrama? Happiness. Just aired last weekend. This is a modern triller that deals with an infectious disease.

My only question is why weren't there any real kiss scenes, considering Dilmurat filmed another series this year…
We will hardly go for you. We have had people who asked this question a thousand times. A very simple answer, Wu Lei, the male lead had a no-kiss contract while filming TLB. Prior to filming TLB, the promised the director of a movie that his first on-screen kiss will be in that movie.

Other than that, holding back some passion in their fully body embraces can be explained by Dilraba's character in The Long Ballad. Li Changge is a tomboy for much of her life. Ashile Sun is her first love, and she has yet to learn how a 14-15 year girl should respond to romantic gestures by a guy. So you see her wondering where she should put her hands, whenever he embraced her. If Li Changge is like Qiao Jing Jing in You are my glory, you can be sure their embraces will be super warm and close.

All that notwithstanding, we all loved their fantastic eye gazes, handholding, those precious forehead kisses, and super sweet one-on-one conversations they had. All these showed their love for each other, not to mention their willingness to die for each other.

Since she's a Uyghur I think she would be under a lot of pressure in the West. That seems to be a no go.
Do you mean under pressure by the Chinese government not to go West? Or under pressure by the West to speak up against the Chinese government? I know she will never speak up against the Chinese government. She has dumped endorsement of western products in the past, when those product owners did stuff offensive to China. It could well be the other way around. Going West may put her under pressure in China. If she is too successful there, Chinese people may well criticise her for embracing the west just to make more money. Even speaking good English may well be a flashpoint for her, being an Uyghur.

Either way, it is such a pity, if she forgo western ventures because of politics.

If Liu Yifei can act as Mulan, Dilraba has the ability to kickass in a English language movie.

Just read an online article which says both TBW and LOA are in top 10 most anticipated cdramas in 2022.Very happy…
Sorry. Forgot to add. Not just the two of them, all the other cast members of LOA as well. They too will contribute to the success of LOA.

Very happy for Gong Jun fans. He will be guaranteed of a mega hit next year.

He and Reba will perform for us magnificently in LOA! It is a long wait from now, but well worth the wait.

LOA is about to wrap up and this starts filming in Dec? We need the cast!
New drama genre is also good for China. If they keep doing romance themed modern dramas, it will get really boring.

Yah. Heard about it. I think Douluo continent anime is one of them? Does that one have any romance?

I hope someone turns this into a full donghua but following the source material closely. My little heart will…
Sorry. I had to google to understand what you meant by Donghua. Animation? Ok. I do not know how many are into it. In China, there must be lots, because some animations could be viewed in the billions. For animation, yes, I think no romance could be fine, and they can actually follow the source material very closely. In this regard, the original artist could even be involved. But I am not a fan of animation. Had they made this into animation instead of drama, I would probably end up not watching it. But lots of other people could love it.
