In the manhua, his birth parents were Khitans. In the drama, this was never important to him. In the end, they…
Not likely. The original manhua was kind of 'stuck' because of some issues between the manhua artist (Xia Da) and her former agency. In fact, the manhua was not even completed. The screenwriters for the drama took whatever there was, extended it and then adapted it for the drama.

The legal issues between Xia Da and her former agency is likely to be stuck for a few more years. If she wishes to continue with her story after that, she will need to start from the drama left off. That means, to start from the point where Li Changge and Asun went to the grasslands. She can still do that, but not likely. I think she has moved on to draw about other stuff.

You have changed your name from Royals to Eyrith!! No wonder I cannot recognise you! You are the queen of updates!! Always providing us the latest developments on the drama, or Reba, or Leo. I remember you were the one who mentioned about the auctioning of the production props, like the bow and arrow

The main focus of this drama is on character development of the main female protaganist, Li Changge. Romance is…
Yes, very unlucky for TLB fans. He could have done at least one mouth to mouth kiss with the FL.

Loa might air before the tbw cause it doesn’t have cgi .
I went to check. TLB took 8 months, from completion of filming to airing. It does not have much special effects (compared to a Xianxia drama). LOA might need that kind of time frame as well, which means if filming is completed in November, the earliest airing date will be around July.

Airing date for LOA will clash with TBW. If they air LOA first, around July, TBW will be pushed back. If they air TBW first, LOA will be pushed back.

Both are under the control of Youku. TBW is done filming months ago, only left with CGI and editing. They might be able to get a better CGI company to do it, and still show it around May. And then maybe we get to see LOA in Q4. This way, we get both dramas next year. Else, either one of them will have to be pushed to 2023, which is a super long wait.

Some blame must go to Youku, for not handling the post production of TBW well. If they did, for sure we should have been able to see that drama no later than May-June, and still get to see LOA around Nov-Dec 2022.

That is a real possibility that we can entertain. If they finish filming early, and post production is efficient, we might see LOA around June and maybe TBW toward the end of the year. LOA may still need minimal amount of CGI.

We can compare with TLB. What was the duration between completion of filming and start of airing. TLB does not have CGI too. Not much, anyway. Except for some of the arrow shooting scenes.

I hope there is a season 2! Need more GeSUN! :D If Sun was adopted, who are his real parents? Never read the manhua.…
In the manhua, his birth parents were Khitans. In the drama, this was never important to him. In the end, they went to the grasslands. Nothing specific was mentioned, but somewhere to the north of Tang dynasty. If her uncle does not rule Tang dynasty well, you can be sure Li Changge will look for him and hold him accountable

In the manhua and drama, the focus was always slightly more on Li Changge than Asun. After all, both the manhua and drama are named after her

I didn't watch that show. But someone who did watch, mentioned about the kiss there, and more less confirmed for…
After he watched You are my Glory, he will be even more angry

He could have done in TLB what yang yang did in YAMG. Missed the chance to have a hot passionate kiss with big sister

I understand why they angry cause it look so fake and the tail way to small. He totally look strange. He does…
He or the producer will have control over the CGI and editing teams. All their reputations are at stake here. Youku and all the other investors must have put in a lot of money. It is a bit of a surprise to hear comments that the CGI used in the trailer cannot even be compared to some of those used in video games in China.

If the current CGI team is not good, just fire them and get a new team. There must be lots of companies in China that can do good CGI.

Agree. Those who have read the novel will be more disappointed with those fake muscles. I did not read the novel, so the trailer did not bother me at all. Till I read those articles that pointed out those fake muscles. Even those fake muscles should not bother us, if they can use computer graphics to mask it nicely. The production team knows what is bothering viewers. They know what they can and must do to rectify the problem.

Besides the fake muscles, they need to do a better job with Allen's tail.

Im crying Legend of Anle might be aired in 2023 😭. The blue whisper is slotted to air in Q3. Leaving Q4.I don't…
I heard the same thing as well, that TBW will only be aired in Q3 of next year. But when I asked the person who provide that information, no link was given. We need something official, like a link to some official announcement from Youku, just to confirm it. But I saw the trailer from TBW. It does look like they do need some work to improve it, so it will not be a suprise if TBW can only be released in Q3 of next year. Hence, it is a real possibility that we might only be able to see LOA in 2023, which is a really long wait. Which is to say, there is not much point for us to spend too much time on this page at the moment.

Yup. I am aware that not everything is negative. Just that this is a Xianxia drama, and lots of viewers in China are expecting 1st class CGI. They, and we, have seen so many xianxia dramas with excellent CGI. Even all those video games in China have very good CGI. Nothing less than 1st class CGI will make people happy. If the final product does not match up to expectations, I think the plot and acting will not be sufficient to make this a mega-hit, and lots of money and effort will be wasted.

But I am confident that they can fix this issue. If the current team that does the CGI is not good, they can always find another team.

The director worked on ELOD, which has good CGI. So we can be assured he knows how to fix this, even if it takes time.

I do agree with you that they will improve the production, after getting feedback. Just hope some of the negative feedback will not turn viewers off. If the final product is much better than what we saw in the trailer, or the final product addresses some of the concerns raised by Chinese viewers, the wait will definitely be worth it.

Yah. Maybe that is why, after all the negative feedback, they need to redo the CGI, and this will cause delay in the airing date. But, it is better to redo it and get good results, then to air it early and get all kind of negative review from viewers in China.

Oh dear! Here we go! This doesn't bode well! It's a bit unfair that his own fans undermine him. The shark is supposed…
I don't think his fans are undermining him. More like his fans are unhappy with the production team. If they want him to wear that fake muscle pack, they should do a better job to make it look real. At present, it seems that when you look at one of the stills and magnify it, you could see a gap near his collar which clearly reveals that he was wearning a fake muscle pack, to make him look muscular. This will make Allen look bad, and that is why his fans are not happy.

Some viewers suggested that Allen should have gone to the gym to bulk up for this role. If you recall, when Leo Wu filmed TLB, he was always working out at the production site, to bulk up for the scene in the river which showed his muscular upper body. Unfortunately, they never got to film that scene because the river was too choppy.

So, some viewers were actually expected Allen to do that and his fans said that is rather unfair.

Anyway, the thing is, lots of viewers in China are now aware that Allen wore a body pack with fake muscles. Even if they use CGI to mask it, how will viewers respond when the drama is aired?

Right now, I think they have no choice but to use CGI to clear up that gap at Allen's neck (at that particular scene). If the drama is aired months later and they did manage to do a good job masking it, maybe lots of people in China would have forgotten about it.

On The Blue Whisper: Part 1 Oct 21, 2021
I just read an online article which seems to imply that viewers in China are not happy, after viewing the trailer. They have two complaints, in particular. First, some of the viewers were able to see that Allen was wearing fake muscle pack. This made Allen's fans in China angry. Secondly, his fans also complained about the CGI. They said his tail does not look like the tail of a shark, but looks like a big blue fan. No complain about Reba and her fox tails. But they also said that overall, the CGI looked 'cheap'.

Did Youku release the trailer prematurely?? If they are not quite ready with the CGI, they should never have released the trailer. The fear is that once viewers in China have a bad impression, it may stick and the drama will be doomed.

Is this why the airing date has been pushed to 3rd quarter of next year? They have to redo all the CGI??

Noooooh! Toooo looooong! 😞
It does appear rather long. From the trailer, it looks like they are about ready. That is why I asked Princess above to provide us with the link to the conference. See if Youku provides some kind of explanation why it takes so long to get it out. And also whether everything will now be combined into a single drama, instead of breaking up into Part 1 and 2. If there are only 43 episodes in total, and filming is completed, they can easily combine two parts into 1

All the costumes and hairstyles look great. Even the main villain. She looks so sweet, you cannot tell she is…
We cannot have a smiling and pretty looking villain that we feel sad for. The more hate we feel, the better the drama. So her facial expressions, her voice, her actions, everything must make us detest her to the extreme. That is what she needs to do.

Yes, I read an article that says he is wearing a fake body suit. Maybe that is why post production takes so long. They may be trying to make it look less fake
