I hope the airing of this drama does not clash with Mirror Twin Cities. That's also another highly anticipated…
Yes, if Twin Cities wrapped up filming that long ago, they should air first. As it is, it is rather strange that they are airing it so late from end of filming. I will be watching that, while waiting for TBW.
She has those 9 fox tails. Going to remind viewers of Baifengjiu in TMOPB. But this is going to be a fierce and…
Agree with you. I think that is why they gave her that red eye, plus that fierce expression, to convey that bad ass attitude, despite the innocent looking red/white tails. It seems that those tails can now be used as a weapon, not just to make her look cute in TMOPB.

All the costumes and hairstyles look great. Even the main villain. She looks so sweet, you cannot tell she is evil from her looks. She will need "good" facial expressions to portray evil. And a good dubber

She definitely look better in those red and white tails, compared to black. Those last few seconds in the trailer, her eyes turned red. It does make her look rather fierce
The trailer is here. It is so good.https://twitter.com/apor_pika/status/1450654012081008640?s=20
It looks rather fast paced. And there will be a kiss? I read a recent article that says Allen will indeed be willing to do a kiss, if the script calls for it.
The main focus of this drama is on character development of the main female protaganist, Li Changge. Romance is…
It is not very common. Just maybe a few male actors? In the case of Leo Wu, the ML in TLB, he was a last minute replacement for another actor. Before he signed up to act in TLB, he had already promised the director that his first screen kiss will be in a movie. Hence, he cannot break his promise by doing a mouth to mouth kiss in TLB.
the blue whisper trailer and drama stills tmrw at 10am, 1030am and 11am.I guess its china timezone
Thanks so much for the update. I do not think you need to use the spoiler to hide all this information. Everyone would surely like to know the good news
Not possible for the entire series to be reduced to 22. Originally supposed to be 60. Birdlady below mentioned…
That is good! There has been way too much speculation over the number of episodes. Good for Youku to clear things up. Releasing a trailer can only mean that we will be seeing this drama real soon. Perhaps in 2-3 months?? They might give an indication at the conference too.
Much will depend on airing dates of other big-name dramas. All these production companies, they talk to each other all the time. And they do not like to go head -on competition with each other. That will split up the audience. They will surely coordinate and avoid direct clash of broadcast dates.
If they are about done with post production, they will apply for airing license and pick broadcast dates that avoid too much competition.
GODNESS, HOW CAN I MISSED THIS GREAT CHINESE DRAMA Y'ALLSeriously, I binge watching this for 2 days straight and…
According to the producer, the use of animination in some of the scenes was meant as a tribute to the author of the manhua, as the original source is a comic. Some people felt that they were used in order to cut cost, which the producer disagrees. Yet other feel that the animation was used, because this drama was filmed during the height of the pandemic last year. Large scale movements of people may well cause COVID-19 to spread among the cast and production people.
To be sure, if life-actions were used in place of those animation, the drama would have gotten even more viewership in China. Not all perhaps, but maybe just one or two of the crucial ones.
Be that as it may, a great great majority of us here on the page still loved this drama to death. Which is why many still come back to this page, months after it finished its airing. Even with the animation, it is still a classic in so many ways.
I really hope they are kisses since they are important for the story !
I think so long as they can show good chemistry in other forms, it should be ok. If they really want ratings or viewership to go up, you can be sure that some kisses will do the trick. Not necessarily the kind we saw in YAMG. Those are ok for a modern drama, but way over the top for a historical drama. Even some kind of gentle lip touching between Reba and Allen can send viewership and ratings up. If that is too much, they can kiss on the cheek.
If Allen's wife gets along well with Reba, she should know that Reba is a professional. She will do all these kisses and just move on. She will never try to romance her male co-stars, especially when they are married.
I just read up and realised that Allen's wife is also an actress. If so, she should understand that if the novel and the script call for kisses, doing harmless non-passionate kisses is all part of the job.
Melons said that they cut down the episode number to 22. Now I am seriously worried about the quality of this…
Not possible for the entire series to be reduced to 22. Originally supposed to be 60. Birdlady below mentioned that it has been compressed to 43, which is why filming for the series was so fast. Instead of having part 1 and 2, there will only be one part, 43 episodes.
I think it does make sense. Unless they have really good materials, dragging it out over 2 parts will not make the series better. Having a solid 43-episode drama is a better option.

Producers in China will never let two blockbusters clash and split the audience
If mirror twin cities airs in November, we are likely to see TBW only next year. Maybe around Chinese New Year?
