I think we have been doing that. Till we discussed about the airing schedule of LOA. It is unavoidable that we need to raise the issue of The Blue Whisper, because, from a practical viewpoint, there is just no way that LOA will be aired before TBW. And these two dramas are 'connected', because Dilraba is in both of them.

TBW has a 5 month headstart on LOA. They have a very experienced team at the TBW. I do not see any post production issue. Likewise for LOA. I do not see them rushing post production, only to ruin a big budget drama.

So, TBW will air in early 2022, followed by LOA a few months later.

I think both Allen and Simon are great actors. It is a moot point to discuss who is most popular. But based on track record of the past few years, Allen has had more hits than Simon. But Simon has a huge hit in WOH, that made him really popular.

However, if you look at Simon's three most recent dramas after WOH, those dramas did not do well. This does not mean Simon is not good. Perhaps he shines better in historical?? Some actors are like that. They shine better in one particular genre. Take Yang Yang for example. He did well in all his modern dramas. But his historical is hardly anything anyone wants to talk about.

Allen has been a pretty consistent performer across both genres.

When we are on this page, we support Simon. When we are on the page of TBW, we support Allen. In short, we support whoever Reba is acting with.

Once LOA airs, we will need to support both Simon and Reba, because lots of their attackers will come here and attack either or both of them or the drama.

But the point that most of us want to make is that The Blue Whisper is likely to air first before LOA. TBW finished filming in June. It relies heavily on CGI, but the director of TBW is good with working with the CGI team, so we do not see any problem with that.

Likewise for LOA. It only finished airing next month. Being a big budget drama, they will not not want to rush with post production. Hence, it is not likely to air before TBW. Unless, something weird happened.

So, TBW will likely air in early 2022, followed by LOA, with a small 2-3 months gap in between.

Not to worry. We should be able see TBW soon. I will bet my last dollar that it will be screened before LOA.

Yup. If they are fast with post production, earliest we will see Legend of Anle will be around middle of next year. Airing in Feb 2022 is just not possible.

And that depends on The Blue Whisper as well. If TBW (which also has Dilraba as the FL) airs only in Feb 2022, LOA will be pushed back even further.

The Blue Whisper will also be a big hit, because Allen Ren's popularity has also risen due to his two successful recent dramas: One and Only; Forever and Ever. Youku will also want to ride on his rising popularity and screen The Blue Whisper as soon as post production is done.

We can be 100% sure that The Blue Whisper will be aired before Legend of Anle.

This is not possible. Do not believe this guy. Stokssyy below already explained the exceptional situation why WOH was aired so quickly after filming. It is not going to happen again.

LOA is not the only big production that Youku has. The Blue Whisper is also produced by Youku, and it is just as big. That drama finished filming in June and must now be close to the end of post production and will likely start airing around Dec 2021 or beginning of next year (like Jan - Feb 2022). If anything, The Blue Whisper may well air around Chinese New Year 2022. So, only expect LOA to air around 3rd quater of next year.

The main leads did not have any mouth to mouth kiss. But their love and affection for each other is clearly shown and expressed through words and actions. They had quite a few one-to-one conversations during which they clearly expressed their affection for each other. Apart from that, like they say, action speaks louder than words, they were prepared to risk their lives to save other. Look out for their egg gazes, their hugs, the forehead kisses, etc.

That said, you need to realise that the main plot of this drama revolves around Li Changge. It traces her character development from E2 right till the very end. Not just her, but many of the other main characters also experienced change. Hence, I would say character development comes first, then romance.

The main focus of this drama is on character development of the main female protaganist, Li Changge. Romance is secondary. Also, the male lead has a no-kiss contract when this drama was filmed. But you can still sense the great chemistry between the main couple through their eye gazes, the way they held hands and embraced each other, their one-on-one conservations which leave us no doubt they have deep love for each other. Their love is also expressed through actions, evidenced through their willingess to protect each other, no matter what is the cost. They did have two very affectionate forehead kisses.

This drama has many couples. While the two main couples do not have any mouth to mouth kisses, there are two kisses between the third couple.

But, like I said, watch this mainly for character development for many the key characters in the drama. Romance comes second place.

I don't think we need to worry too much about these leaks. There are lots of people at the filming site, and they all have mobile phones. So, it is very easy for someone to take some photos or videos. But thankfully, thus far, all the leaked photos or images are rather fuzzy. It is not easy for to us to see how they are connected to the episodes. As long as the images are fuzzy, I don't think Youku will do anything about them.

I see. Maybe they compressed it? Took out unimportant stuff from the novel?? But even Douban could be wrong? Maybe they don't even know there will be two parts?? Could be split up into 40/20. For those who have read the novel, is it possible for 40 episodes to cover all the stuff in the novel?

Same here. If kisses are important for the story, and there are no kisses, the rating and viewership will be negatively affected.

Yes, they did. This is a war drama, and lots of kids die whenever there is war. It is sad, but realistic.

Yes, she is good in playing couple with a guy. I do think she will have her own love story. There is a second couple in TLB, so very likely, she will part of the 2nd couple in TBW. This is a fairly long drama, so there will be sufficient time for the screenwriter to develop a love story for the 2nd couple.

Changge character's written such that she forged close bonds with people around her. Initially it was with her mother. Later, after her mother was killed, it would be with ADou. After ADou was killed, very soon after E12, she will form close bond with Mimi. And finally, of course, her closest bond will be Ashile Sun, the love of her life.

That is the way the screenwriter wrote her character, that she is not a lone ranger, but would work with people around her, and form strong bonds of friendship, care and concern.

Once she met ADou, in the kitchen of that restaurant in episode 2, they started to form a very strong bond of mutual trust. This bond will be very precious to Changge. She was all alone, running away from her enemies. ADou provided a source of companionship and encouragement for her. And she definitely trust ADou. That is why he is always hanging around her.

I am going to give you my interpretation of Changge's character in a spoiler. You can choose to read it, only if you wish. It will help explain why she is so close to ADou.

Just realised that this director also directed Ashes of Love. If you feel that Ancient Love Poetry has even better CGI than Ashes of Love, I think we are in good hands. The director will know which CGI team to choose, to do The Blue Whisper. I think doing a realistic merman will be the greatest challenge.

I watched unforgettable love too, and the Sleepless princess. She did well in both. I think working with Dilraba will be good for Hu Yi Xuan's career. Even if she is just playing the supporting role, playing a close friend of Dilraba in The Blue Whisper will mean she will have sufficient air time to shine.

I note that after The Blue Whisper, she did not have a new project. Maybe she wants to take some time off, after filming non-stop the last 4 years. Or maybe waiting for the right script to come along.

The Blue Whisper is a serious drama. Maybe after this, she can play the lead in serious historical drama.

Ok. That is good to know. I am confident that they will do a good job. This director worked with the team that did the CGI for Eternal Love of Dream, and the CGI there was great too.

I am not surprised. Because, by now, he has Changge's full trust, that he will not betray the Tang. ADou will be willing to do many things. Keep watching, and you will know much he meant to Changge.

You are referring to E11, about 13 minutes into the video? I think the governor has great confidence in Changge's talents. And Adou being a constant companion of Changge at this point in time, he likely saw no harm in letting him sit in during the conversation. Maybe Adou might also learn a thing or two about military strategy? They were discussing a strategy that the governor had used (note the past tense that I used), so the governor saw no danger of Adou revealing any secrets to the enemy. If you notice, later on in the same episode, around 23 minutes into the video, when Changge discussed military strategies with the governor, Adou was not there. They do not want any future strategies to be leaked to anyone.
