If by rushed ending, you are referring to many things left unexplained, it is not rushed. They actually had plenty of time. And they were well within the episode limit for 30, for Part 2. The only part that was not properly explained was how she got her fishtail. But, it is a very small issue. Even without any official explanation in the drama itself, we could have guessed it. But, yes, it would have been better if the drama itself explained it. Another 5 minutes was all it needs.

And, the last pearl that Changyi gave her, after 300 years, it changed her 9 foxtails into a single fishtail. So, they did meet up and dived into the ocean.

You are right. Someone made a mistake. Not sure who. The director or the editor. But, it is not major mistake. We guessed it as much, it was due to the last pearl that Changyi gave her, that enabled her to have that fishtail and she was changed to a mermaid.
