Just read on twitter, this is what HYX said about Dilraba:
Dedicated, cute and unassuming. She is what I admire about girls. Everyone thinks her career is very good. In fact, she buried a lot of pressure in her heart. I feel bad for her; not very easy.

We cannot read Reba's mind of course, but over a period of time, as we analyse all the roles that she has taken, especially those from the time of The Long Ballad, we can see a very clear pattern: female characters that are strong and independent, who does not really need the male lead to save all the time.

The FL in this novel just does not fit that description.

Agree. From her article, it is absolutely clear she did not watch the whole drama. And even for those episodes she did watch, she likely watched with her eyes closed, whenever Dilraba is on the screen. Her blog is her space. Let her spew whatever nonsense she wants to. If she comes her to pick a fight with us, we know what to do.

I agree with you that she is slandering Dilraba. But, what are we to do?? An actress as popular as Dilraba attracts lots of haters. We can only defend her on MDL pages and hope that very few people actually read those kind of garbage and be influenced by them.

The internet is a big space, and an actress as popular as Dilraba attracts lots of attention from the wrong kind of people. My own attitude is really simple. As long as they do not come here and spew nonsense and pick a fight with us, we can leave them alone. Lots of people said nasty things about her in Douban too. If we try to defend her everywhere, it will just take up too much of our time and energy.

A few days ago, someone I met on the page of TLB about 5-6 months ago sent me a DM. Said someone attacked her on the page of TLB. Asked me, would I like go to defend her. That is a MDL page which many of us spent months on. We witnessed all kinds of attack. This one was interesting, so I took as a challenge to defend her. Otherwise I would have left it alone.

I read it. There are all kinds of nut case out there. As long as they do not come here, we can leave them alone. No need to waste our precious time and emotion responding to an idiot like that.

I am not 100% sure, till we see the final 2 episodes. I know from the BTS clip, they did film the scene from the inside. But, in the preview, we are only shown the bedroom scene from the outside, through bedroom veil.

But, we cannot be 100% sure, because in preview, they seldom show everything. So, we might still get the bedroom from the inside when the drama is shown this Monday. Let's wait and see.

As of yesterday, according to Vlinkage index, TBW is still number 1. I think today, it will still be number 1. By the time the last two episodes are shown tomorrow, the lead over the number 2 will widen. The last two episodes are really good.

Yes, I remember you very very well. You made a lot of very useful comments, analyses, and I read all of them and enjoyed reading all of them.

Some fans are rather toxic. They only want their own idols to succeed and no one else. Especially actors/actress whom they perceive are a threat to those they love; they really do not want anyone to compete with their idols, whom they think are the best in the world.

It happens a lot in China. Fan wars take place in lots of their social media. Sadly, it is creeping into MDL as well.

The more popular the leads are, the higher are the chances of toxic competition.

Thankfully, such toxic fans are in great minority in the international arena. Great majority are like you, who can appreciate multiple actors/actresses, or different kinds of dramas, as long as they good.

They are really two different pieces of work of art. Yes, there are lots and lots of overlaps, for sure. But the focus, the emphasis, could well be different. At least different enough for us to appreciate each on its own, and not try to force one on the other, nor try to say which is superior

The medium of communication, for instance, is totally different. The novel requires us to imagine all those scenes. Here, the director, or even the cast members have interpreted those scenes for us, and may have also injected new elements into the drama not found in the novel. Some scenes could have been toned down, to pass censorship.

The more we are able to appreciate each on its own, we more we can appreciate both. The more we try to force one on the other, we just make ourselves miserable, thinking either the director or novelist isn't quite smart.

The novel is a successful work of art. If I am not wrong, it is the best work of this author, and won some kind of award.

And now, the drama adaptation is doing so well in China, thus showing that each has excelled in its own way.

Lots of people have yet to watch this. When they do, I suspect we are going to do lots of deep analyses why the director changed things, why some worked and some may not have worked that well, all in the spirit of exercising our intellectual muscle and not to condemn this director. Because we know, he is good. Or else this drama would not have been this successful in China.

I must also add, some of the changes may not have been initiated by the director, but by the cast members. They have to act out those drama characters and some may indeed want to interpret those characters differently from what the novelist envisaged. I cannot speak for other cast members, but I do know Dilraba would. If she has some ideas to make the character even more charming, she will not be shy to tell the director, and this director will accept those ideas if he feels that they are good. From past experience, we know that he will not be chained to the source material.

Those two individuals who came here? I do not think they are even fans of WRTW. I went to that page, and do not see them comment much at all. They could be trying to stir up some kind of fan war. So, we must not fall victim to their trap. We must avoid saying bad things about other dramas and their leads.

Whatever people may say about TBW on other MDL pages, we can just totally ignore. To be honest, people who say bad things about TBW and our two leads likely do not know how to read charts and figures. For all practical purposes, they are not very smart. So just them ramble on, on other MDL pages.

But, once they come here, to our territory, on our page, that is a different story. It shows that they are really trying to pick a fight. In that case, we shall give them what they are looking for: A fight, as dramatic as the fight between Ji Yunhe, Changyi and Shunde. They are the Shundes, and they will lose.

The preview for the final two episodes show that he will wake up just in time to save Ji Yunhe from Shunde.

We honestly do not know where these people are from, but we do know their intentions, which is to attack this drama or the leads without any rational basis.

Regardless, we are well armed with many good defenders. Some are good with numbers, some are good with words, some are good with both.

Those are are smart will not come here to attack us. They know how to read charts and figures, and will stay away from this page. Those who are not so smart cannot string a decent paragraph together without contradicting themselves.

We are likely to be dealing with the second group of people who think they can come here, make all kinds of sweeping statements and not be challenged. Well, they are in for a big surprise. Our 'welcome' party will make them feel very much 'unwelcomed'. They'll wish they never show up here at all. and go find themselves a better hobby.

Nice to do it. At the very least, those people will have to think twice before attacking this drama.

Indeed. I think the bedroom scene from the inside will not be shown. There could be others.

I do not think it is to limit the number of episodes. Since they split up the drama into 2 parts, they are already operating well within the limit of 40 episodes per Part. Very likely the post production team felt that those scenes may not be all that necessary and hence decide not show them.
