I will add to the excellent rebuttal by Gizzy Ashe, and just comment on your 2nd para. Because the 2nd para involves…
We do not need to worry about Dilraba or TLB. TLB has done extremely well in China and internationally. The drama and Dilraba will win many awards next year. We can be sure of that.
You know, I didn't know the story, never read the comic, so I went in with a blank slate but I could totally tell…
I will add to the excellent rebuttal by Gizzy Ashe, and just comment on your 2nd para. Because the 2nd para involves the key character of this drama, Li Changge. The very name of this drama is based on her name, and the entire drama is basically about her journey and adventures, set off by the tragic event of Episode 2, known in history as the Xuanwu Gate Incident.
She is vengeful. But who would not be, if a person witnessed what she thought was the murder of both her mother and father by her beloved uncle (in E2). She knew martial arts and thought she could kill her 2nd uncle on her own. She was far from being reckless. After the first failed attempt to take revenage on her own, she quickly realised that she needed more firepower, and hence left Chang'an to find her father's former allies, hoping to get more help in trying to bring down his 2nd uncle Li Simin.
She was far from being wilful or obstinate. She listened to the parting advice of governor Gongsun and surrendered to the Ashile Troops. An obstinate Li Changge would have wanted to fight till death. And how is she tunneled vsisioned, when she was willing to let go of personal revenge, learned to put her nation above her selfish motive when she even saved the very person she thought had killed both her parents??
How is she rarely warm or was void of soft sides, when she felt so much love from and for A'Dou and the Gongsun couple?? And she made friends so easily at the grasslands (e.g., with Mimi) and later with the princess from Mobei? And she shared such a warm relationship with her uncle, once she realised that he did not kill her mother?
And this must surely be one of the most unbelievable things you said, when you mentioned that she hardly felt vulnerable. When she walked out on her own, in that snow walk scene, completely unarmed, against thousands and thousands of Ashile tropps, all ready to kill her, she was completely vulnerable. And yet, because of her bravery, she learned to control her fear and negotiated terms of the surrender calmly and in the process saved the lives of thousands of people in that city.
If she is aloof, that is because she is a de facto Tang Princess, born to a Tang Crown Prince. All of her training in militay strategies, horse riding and arrow shooting, and martial arts learned from various people, gave her that confidence and caused her to hold her head up high. She has the mentality of a strong, independent, intelligent, self-confident and brave 21st century woman. Only her body was trapped in 700th century Tang Dynasty. By the end of the drama, she was smart and brave enough to save the man she loved: Ashile Sun.
I do not know if you are a woman. Because if you are, you should be proud of her, because she is very representative of a large swath of women in the 21st century. One who does not need a man to be fully human. She chose to be Ashile Sun, not because she needed him, but because she wanted to be with him the rest of her live, as they shared so much mutual love and respect.
Re-watched it for the 2nd time and I must comment that the OST is really good!!
Yes, all the OSTs are really good. The opening OST, ending OST and all the others in between, all are really great. The production team paid a lot of attention to the musical aspect of this drama, and use it heighten our viewing experience.
Oh, sorry. I did not really mean TOOL is scandal filled. More like YAMG is somewhat protected from being harassed by the Chinese government, because there is a big element of Chinese aerospace in YAMG, something which is a source of pride for the Chinese government. So, even if it were to air during this troublesome period, it will still get aired. So, it is kind of being 'insulated' againts all the cleansing that is going on right now.
Don't mind me just in the comments here ranting about a minor character and a pretty minor scene that probably…
Yes. In addition, it is also because she was very very young. If the others do not keep reminding her of her parents, over time, she will forget what her mother did.
‼️ There are NO OFFICIALS saying that The Oath of Love is “delayed.” Looks like it might be antis trying…
Where did the rumour originate? Weibo?? If so, if Tencent and Hunan TV have no intention to delay the broadcast, they should inform Weibo and ask Weibo to delete the account of these people who are spreading such a malicious lie, clearly intended to cause harm to this drama. This should be one of the ways for Weibo to get rid of such pests.
Dont believe rumour , patiently wait , I expect it to come on the date
Let's hope this is nothing but a rumour. If it is just a rumour, someone from Tencent should quickly clarify it, and 'kill' off that rumour quickly. The longer it hangs around, the worse it is. Now, there are lots of uncertainties.
Why should the clean up affect TOOL? Neither Yang Zi nor Xiao Zhan is involved in any scandal
Yes, I have read about the new rules. Some of which arose because of fan wars in China. But none of that applies to Yang Zi and Xiao Zhan. Their fans in China are not fighting each other. Read all the stuff about popularity ranking. But none of that should cause any delay in the airing of TOOL. Unless, of course, there is something that we do not know about.

National Day in China is on 1 Oct. Airing date for TOOL is supposed to be on 8 Sept. That is close to 1 month apart. I still do not see the connection.
