I did not read the novel, so not sure if there will be 2nd or 3rd leads. But, if you look at the cast above, it does not state anyone else as the main leads, other than Reba and Allen. This is unlike TLB, where Zhao Lusi and Liu Yu Ning and Alen Fang are also shown as main leads.
Even then, there are quite a few in support roles. So, having 60 episodes will surely mean that a reasonable amount of air time will be given to them, which is good.
Three of the cast members in support roles (Hu Xi Xuan, Cristy Guo, and Aero Xiao) have played main roles in other dramas. We should see some interesting side stories created for them.

I think shorter in good. In the past, Chinese historical dramas can go into 60 plus episodes. Just way too long. Splitting into 2 is great, if the split can be done logically. If they need to film part 2 only next year, the gap between the 2 parts will indeed be long. At least half a year.
We shall know soon enough. Reba filming The Legend of Anle now. If there is part 2 to be filmed, they will announced it real soon. However, if she is going on to a completely new project, we can conclude that both parts have already been filmed.
Yes, there are those who said all 60 episodes have been filmed and those who said they only filmed Part1 (30 episodes)
If they only filmed 30 episodes, then, these 30 episodes better be able to stand on their own, and does not really require the next 30 episodes to complete the story. Else, there will be too big a gap in between and viewers will not be too happy about it.

Someone below mentioned that they ended filming on 6 June 2021. They started filming on 18 Feb. Yes, you are right. 4 months.
Now, just to be sure, the completion of filming all 60 episodes in 40 months is merely an educated guess by people here. And, to some extent, it does make sense. Because, if the 60 episodes is split into 2, they want to show part 2 of The Blue Whisper fairly close to Part 1.
So, if we hold the alternate assumption, that they have yet to film part 2, that means Part 2 will be screened at least 6 months after part 1. That would not be ideal. After 6 months, people might have forgotten what happened in Part 1. Ideally, Part 2 should be screened just after 1-2 weeks from Part 1.
They act very naturally around each other, whether it is from familiarity of working together so closely or dating…
People do fall in love at work all the time, and they do because of their own reasons, not because we were great in interpreting certain after-filming events. Especially for Reba who is friendly toward all her male co-stars. Similar dating rumour also surfaced between Johnny Huang and Reba, after they filmed Love Designer, only to be denied later by both of them.
Yang Yang and Reba are both big stars, and they will do the utmost to keep their private lives from all of us. If ever they do get into a relationship in real life, we will hear from their agencies.
They have both moved on to their new projects. If we have lots of time to spare, maybe watch another drama. The Oath of Love is coming up next week, and there are lots of other good dramas still airing.
Sorry if someone already asked this question, but did they actually shoot all 60 episodes already???
I do believe someone did ask this question, and it was suggested that they likely filmed all 60 episodes, since they did have a big end-of-shoot ceremony (you can see the photo above). Quite a big production team involved, so bringing them back again to shoot more episodes will be quite a challenge.
Interesting analysis. I find it interesting that before this collaboration, the two didn't seem to like each other.…
Yup. I saw that clip that someone posted. I think it was Weibo night 2019. You can see Yang Yang was clearly not comfortable to be even sitting next to her. Perhaps for the reason that you mentioned, thinking Reba is aloof. That was before their collaboration in YAMG. Now, they are just being friendly toward each other after the collaboration. Those who have watched TLB have seen her being very close to Wu Lei, after their collaboration. Wu Lei addressed her as "Reba' even during the filming of TLB, despite their big age difference. So, she is just being very friendly toward all her male co-stars, and they toward her, after being in a project together. They know each other better, have more things to chat about. Nothing more, nothing less. If there is anything more than that, their respective studios will announce it soon enough.
Yes very very slow crawl. May need till end of the year to hit 4B
Really? Problem with WeTv started a week after VIP ended?? I didn't notice as I was doing my rewatch using other platforms. Not sure why they cannot get their WeTv to work right. It is really frustrating for international viewers and bad for their reputation.

It is quite interesting that when I visit the Tencent video app above, which is primarily for viewers from China, the VIP control is back in place. Someon here said rewatch counts toward viewership. And if rewatch is free, lots of Reba fans and Yang Yang can simply do rewatch and drive the numbers up.
Perhaps to prevent this, a day after all the episodes are made free to viewers from China, they reimpose the VIP control in the Tencent video app, so that those who want to rewatch from now on will need to pay VIP membership.
