He is one of the most charismatic & interesting characters in TLB. I really wanted to see more of him and his…
They run of out time and episodes to show more of him. When the drama ended, Li Changge did not even have time to go back to Mobei to thank him for supporting her plan to form the alliance with Tang.
If we take WED - Thursday 8 pm Cst it had 80m views definitely not bad considering its mostly non VIP ❤❤❤❤❤…
I can tell you why Tencent will love YAMG more than CC. CC is a crime related drama. There is not a lot of product placement you can do in a drama like that. What can you advertise? Cigarettes? Guns??
QJJ in YAMG is an actress. Lots of brand owners will be paying Tencent for Dilraba to use their products in the drama. That will help to reduce their production costs. Also, they used Honor of Kings so much in the drama, perhaps in China, lots of people started to play this game as a result of this drama (we know that some international viewers in this forum already said they picked up this game as a result of watching YAMG). More people play means more money for Tencent.
So, all in all, regardless of which has more views (whether it is YAMG or CC), I think Tencent will be very happy with YAMG.

I know why you said TV viewers did not take away web viewers. I caught some scenes of it, while checking the view counts. It has lots of violence, people smoking all over the place (which is very realistic for a crime drama). So, if it is allowed on TV, that means it is likely to be screen late at night. Maybe after 9 pm in China, when all the younger people have already gone to bed?

Noted. Do you know the production company for this drama?? Because Tencent produced YAMG, so naturally, they will be more fond of their own work. Did Tencent also produced Crimecrackdown??
You said your 80 year old grandpa is watching it on Tv and your aunt too. So you are actually a viewer from China??

Am I correct that Crimecrackdown is also shown on TV in China?? If so, it rather difficult to predict, because there is a lot of 'cannibalism' going on. TV viewers may take away views from web viewers, so it is difficult to predict how many views those 12 Ep will garner.

I do not know all the details regarding leaked episodes. As long as Crimecrackdown is done with fast track and VIP, leaving it with just just 4 episodes for ordinary member versus 2 for YAMG, per episode views, at the current rate, YAMG will beat Crimecrackdown.

Right now, YAMG has 3.45B views, over 32 episodes, giving a per episode view of 107.8 million.
Crimecrackdown has 2.62B views over 28 episodes, giving as a per episode view of 93.57m
YAMG is ahead, but YAMG is almost done, and that one is still ongoing. If Crimecracdown is all done with fasttrack and VIP, YAMG will still beat Crimecrackdown. But if Crimecrackdown is yet to fasttrack and VIP, then that drama will beat YAMG.

I do not know if Tencent will reveal to us exact overseas figures. But, in an earlier twit, it was shown that on WeTv, which is Tencent's overseas platform that so many of us watched YAMG on, YAMG ranked ahead of 4 other dramas that were shown in the summer.
At the end of next week may be too soo, but perhaps closer to the end of the year, Tencent might reveal total viewership on Wetv.

I think YAMG did extremely well. Initially, when we discussed the success of a drama, we merely looked at viewership. But, if we look at product placements, considering how many products brand owners have had to pay Tencent, this has been a great success, as far as Tencent is concerned. QJJ was a walking product advertisers for at least 10-20 different brands. YT also did his part. The drama itself used Mercedes Benz car throughout, and who knows how much that brand has had to pay Tencent.
And all the brands who advertised their products in the drama, I am very sure all their sales would have gone up significantly. So, it is a commercial success for all investors.
From a drama making, acting viewpoint, YAMG will win many awards next year. We can be sure of that.
By the end of 2021, YAMG will garner more than 4B views. For modern drama, it will be number 1 for Tencent. Whether it can beat the other top two modern dramas (Rattan; You are my hero), in total views, we do not know. And comparsions may not be fair, as both Rattan and You are my hero are shown on more platforms in China.
Will not be surprised. All their kids will inherit their good genes. Not going to be just good looking, but smart…
Oh, in that case, we do not need to worry at all. As we can see from YAMG, she has great chemistry with Yang Yang. In all of her previous dramas, she had great chemistry with all her male co-stars. So, she will have great chemistry with her male leads in those two dramas next year. The storyline for both those drama seem pretty good.
Yang Yang will also have a historical drama next year. We can also watch that, and compare his performance there, with his performance in YAMG.

I am told that in the novel on which the drama The Blue Whsiper is based on, there are kisses. If they want viewership to be high, they will need to do those kisses. But the male lead there is married. And someone at the page of The Blue Whisper mentioned that when they filmed The Blue Whisper, his wife actually turned up the filming site.

The Blue Whisper will air in early 2022. Most likely around Jan-Feb 2022. It is historical Xianxia, because some 'magic' or'spells' will be involved. Legend of An Le will probably air around August/September 2022.
Legend of Anle will be just an historical drama, not a Xianxia because I don't think any magical spells will be involved. If there are some fighting involved, it will be Wuxia kind of fighting, like the kind we saw in TLB. No magic or spells will be involved.
Historical dramas that are not of the Xianxia genre are usually anchored to some historical period in China, like TLB was anchored to Tang Dynasty. I can't really tell which period of Chinese history they will anchor Legend of An Le to. Did not read the novel and the synopsis on the page MDL did not indicate. Could just be a fictitious period in ancient China.
In both of those dramas, if we do get any kiss at all, even if romantic, will not be the same as the ones we saw in YAMG. Not sure how they kissed in olden times in China, I doubt it will be same as today.
As for kisses in Xianxia, Reba did some of those in Eternal love of dream. I think it was passionate, but not as many as we saw in YAMG. She did a bathtub scene, which is equivalent to our bedroom scene in YAMG. That scene produced one baby. I think in Xianxia, they do not know what is birth control.
I did not watch Love Designer. It seems that Reba also did quite a few kisses there with the male lead, Johnny Huang. It seems that the kissing there was also passionate. Reba is a good kisser. If the script calls for kissing, she will have no problem kissing the male lead.
