I can’t denied they are good looking individuals but the acting is not killing it yet like other CDrama that…
Strange that you said the acting is not killing it, when two of the biggest stars in the Chinese entertainment industry are in the leads. Especially when you mentioned comparing them with other Cdramas that you have watched.

I read the comments by the others before making mine. Let me assure you, I am no hater of Li Qin. I watched quite a few of her dramas (Song of Glory, Joy of Life, My Amazing Bride, and actually really enjoyed those dramas. Visually, she is as sweet as Reba, perhaps not as glamorous. But acting wise there is no comparison. Reba is way ahead. Many different ranking of Chinese actresses show that Reba is way ahead of Li Qin (in case you are indeed a Li Qin fan and is not aware of it).

For Yang Yang, the latest Power star ranking of male Chinese male actors show him as Number 6 and Johnny Huang is not even among the top 10.

So, if Li Qin and Johnny Huang are indeed the actress/actor you are benchmarking against, it is strange you said the acting here is not killing it for YAMG.

There are lots of very knowledgeable viewers in this comments section. Make sure you are fully armed, before you make any comment and want to be treated as a serious commentator.

Btw, people giving reviews: THIS IS NOT A ROMCOM!!!!
While MDL may have mentioned both comedy and romance while classifying this drama, this is not a rom-com in the way most of us understand it: those light and fluffy stuff meant for high school kids or teenagers. This is definitely a serious drama meant for older viewers, with a sprinkling of humour here and there to mix things up. We can clearly see that the drama is positioned to cater to viewers who are interested in life issues and romance.

We could just be playing with words here, but experienced drama viewers will never see YAMG as a rom-com. Certainly not a rom-com genre meant for high school kids or teenagers. Teenagers will never be able to relate to many of the stuff already shown or coming up in later episodes.

maybe those complaining are the 1 who just want to watch same old drama... rich guy fall in love with poor girl...…
If they are toxic fans from other idols, it is not very difficult to identify them. We just need to click on their profile and see their ratings for dramas that involve their idols. If those dramas have way more gaming and they come here and complain about too many scenes involving games, you can clearly tell they are toxic fans of other idols.

Am already binged 10 episodes in a day… I still have concerns on the suitability of Yang Yang and Dilraba……
Would like to second the comment that Gu Man mentioned that the novel is made for YY and Reba. So, no need for you to be concerned about suitability of them being the leads.

Seems to be a troll with a one track mind. Not a great way to start in the comment section. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️
Just woke up. Is there a troll around? This early on in the drama? Interesting.

I started this drama on a whim, because I liked the cover picture. I didn't read the summary plot or seen any…
Don't read the novel, if you like surprises and want to just let the drama 'tell' you the story. That is my approach. Reading the drama also makes us very anxious whether this or that from the novel will be included or excluded. So, if you do not wish to be spoiled, don't read. But if you do not mind knowing all the stuff beforehand, it should be ok.

I really do not mind watching the drama while it is being aired, because I like to see the different takes from different viewers and come here and read their comments and join in the fun. Bingeing it has that disadvantage. By the time you are done and want to comment, most are done with commenting and no longer interested reading your stuff.

So, really it all depends on what you want. If you are totally not interested in commenting, you could have waited for the drama to finish its run.

I am not a mind reader, but I do suspect you do like commenting. If so, you made the right decision.

i think that introvert does not mean ice-cold and emotionless. I watched some of his dramas and i find him copying…
I can tell, just by reading some of the comments. Earlier on, a few people mentioned that Martial Universe is not a good drama at all. So, you can be sure, I am not going to watch it.

I don't think you need to point it's like they need to endure it. Actually as much as I remember there were much…
It is ok. I really do not mind doing this. You might not be aware. Before the drama was aired, many people sent out warning that this is not a gaming drama. That might have encouraged some people to watch, and they became disappointed when they saw so much gaming. And indeed some might even feel that this drama is nothing much more than a large commercial for one of Tencent's video games. So, I do feel that, if nothing else, we do need to educate or inform some viewers that the gaming parts are about to end and urge them not to give up. Certainly not when there are only two more episodes and we will see no more of those games.

I did not read Gu Man's novel before the drama was aired, and certainly want to keep things this way. I am fully aware that she used this game in her novel. But, there is no way she intends for her book to be a commercial for this particular video game (unless we somehow feel that she is actually a Tencent employee in disguise). So, there is just no way she wanted so many scenes of those games. Certainly not in the drama. In that article that I was referring to, she was quoted as showing lots of appreciation for experts who gave so much help during those scenes that involved aerospace stuff. So, I do feel that if not for pressure from Tecent, she definitely wanted less of those games and more aerospace scenes, and certainly more time to develop the plot, and for relationship between QJJ and YT to develop. So YAMG is neither a gaming drama, nor even an aerospace dram. We could say BOTH the game and the aerospace stuff are plot devices for the plot of this drama. The game was used as a bridge to bring them together; and aerospace industry to give context to the kind of issues what YT was struggling with (poor pay, long working hours, etc).

So, I am kinda happy to do what I did, just educate or inform people who are annoyed by those games, that they merely need to endure two more episodes and we are done with those games. Soon, the drama will focus on relationship issues between the two leads, which the REAL reasons why most of us came here for.

It's actually Honor of Kings, Tencent's copy of League of Legends lol
Noted. I think geez also just mentioned that the game is Honor of Kings.

Ah! I used stiff, to mean expressionless. Not sure if expressionless is same as reserved for you.

Ok, we should just wait. I did not watch Martial Universe, but I am more than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, because quite a few of you have said he was very expressive there. Does Martial Universe calls him to express sadness?? Because, it seems that he will need to express sadness very soon.

Yes, I watched that BTS too! So, the cold expressionless face we saw so far is definitely not the 'real' Yang Yang. He is stiff, because the script calls for it.

I just read an article which suggests that Tecent spent a lot of money in making the animation or CGI for the display of the game used in the drama. That is why it is such high quality. And that is also why they wanted to show many scenes with it, no doubt to advertise the game and recover their costs. This is to be expected. So, just fast forward those scenes, if you are not interested in the game. You will not lose much.

Furthermore, as already expressed by many here, those games will slowly disappear from the plot. We finished E12. The trailers show that E14 is the last they will play those games. So, just two more episodes, yah? Endure!

That same article also seems to suggest that Gu Man actually does not want to show too many scenes involving those games. She wanted more aerospace scenes, and more time for QJJ and YT to develop their relationship. However, don't we all know? She is just the screenwriter. She does not call the shots. Tencent, the drama producer, does. Hence we got what we've got, which is lots more games scene than Gu Man wanted.

Moral of the story?? In drama making in China, the producer is the king, not the screenwriter. Are we surprised? Hardly. I suspect it is the same everywhere.

Anyway, E15 onward, no more games.

will the happy camp ep will air before 13th episode or after?
After E13. They just filmed Happy Camp yesterday. They will need at least a week to do editing before it is aired, which will bring us to the end of next week. By which time, E13 would have aired.

I really dont understand what you guys mean by stiff. Do you mean he doesnt move his face that much? That he doesn't…
They could be referring to his facial expressions. He does not seem to vary his facial expressions. Always has that same cold look. Does not show any emotion. This could be due the role he is playing, up to this stage. Many people are saying this will soon change. The script will call for him to show more emotions in the up and coming episodes. We should just wait and see. Don't have to worry too much.

If they can hit 1 billion views in a week, they will be keeping pace with Eternal Love of Dream, and well within…
It is very possible. If the viewership rate is very high this weekend, YAMG may well hit 1B views by early Monday, China time.

When it does hit 1B views, it will be great for both Reba and Yang Yang.

All those of us who are Reba fans, when we come to this page, we support BOTH Reba and Yang Yang. We will never support only Reba, because we need both to be good, so that YAMG will do well.

Yeah. I was wondering about that myself, when Mobile Legends was mentioned. I googled and found that Mobile Legends was not developed by Tencent. Why would Tencent want to use YAMG to promote someone's game? Thanks so much for clarifying.

Title You Are My Glory Spoiler
I hope you are not offended that I keep relating stuff to TLB. But I see an interesting change of role here and…
I did not read the novel, so don't fully know whey YT and his ex broke up. The conversation at the hotel was too short. But, I saw the trailer for future episodes. Pretty soon I will get to know. And will share my view with all of you regarding YT and his ex. It is just my view, though. By no means am I suggesting mine is superior to any of yours.
