Thanks so very very much! My mandarin is not too bad, so I found some of the conversations quite interesting. But, like you, the visuals were the most important. I see Dilraba has sported a new hairstyle. I like her gown. Beautiful!! Also loved hearing from the supporting cast members. All were impressive. Will be more interesting to watch, once the subs are out.

I do feel a bit sad for you. But judging from the majority of the comments here, it does feel that way. Most people came here to see the two big stars interacting, and not sitting down and just play games.

That is why many people issued warning before even this drama started, to warn people that games form a very small part of this drama.

That said, I hope you enjoy other parts of the drama.

Yeah, I do not see how people could watch all the way to E10 and still find it boring. I teared up, while watching E9. Modern dramas are converation-heavy. Don't understand all those conversations, and body language, end of the story.

Yeah. With a star ML, Douluo probably performed below expectations. TLB likely got derailed by those animations and people who wanted to see kisses between Wu Lei and Reba (which we knew they were never going to get once Wu Lei was confirmed as the ML). Ancient Love Peotry did not do really that well either, even with a big FL. Perhaps viewers find the plot too similar to the Three world three lives idea, already used by many other xanxia dramas.

I would agree that DC, TLB and ALP were hardly flops, but certainly not big hits. In terms of viewership, none of them could even match ELOD

This is true. But lots of people have been urging us, rightfully, to watch on official channels so we can support the drama. So, I watched on unofficial channels during first viewing, and then watch on Viu later. The drama is so short, it hardly takes much time to re-watch. Besides, Dilraba and Yang Yang are such visual treats and everything is great so far, re-watching is a pleasure

TLB had one solid episode of Happy Camp just prior to airing, with most of the main cast there. Happy Camp for YAMG going to appear only last part of 1st week of August (at the earliest). Not a great promo, I would say.

TLB had many of those post filming interviews done by Reba and Wu Lei. Lots and lots of BTS. At this point seems to be more than YAMG.

From what I understand, Reba's fans did some marketing on their own.

I just find it hard to compare the two, in terms of marketing. Did Tencent did more marketing for YAMG, compared to TLB, very likely. For TLB, I think fans and others made up for it, and the drama ended quite successfully.

It is just a plot device, to get them to meet. Some novel writers use gaming. Other novelists use other stuff. Novel readers have assured the rest of us (who watched this drama without reading the novel) that the gaming part is not really central to the storyline.

I am not a gaming person, so I watched those gaming scenes at 1.5x. I assure you, I missed nothing. And soon, the games will totally disappear.

Yeah. That is what I found out once I could open the link. I cannot get into the conference. But, I am not worried. So many helpful people here. Matter of time someone will post a link to the conference.

If you like the acting of either Dilraba or Yang Yang, you should like this drama. Many of us came here after watching The Long Ballad, and it was such a pleasure to see her switch from filming a historical to a modern drama so effortlessly. Just watching that successful switch was sufficient reward.

1st 6 episodes of YAMG provide the backdrop to the story. Soon, the plot thickens. If you are bored because of all the games, don't worry. I did not read the novel, but people who read said we need not worry at all. Soon, all those games stuff will get less and less attention, till they simply disappear.

You might need to re-watch and listen to the dialogue very carefully. Then you will understand why they seem to have so much time.

Oh, what I usually do, I watch once on unofficial platforms. And then re-watch on Viu, because I find the English sub on Viu quite good. I did that for The Long Ballad.

I do not know for YY, but for Dilraba, I felt that for some scenes, some of her voice were taken right from the filming. Mabye those were really well done and don't have to be dubbed. And then, for otheres, she had to dub her own in a studio. Being listening really carefully and watching if her mouth movements were in sync with the sound of her voice. Some were 100% in sync, some not. But, of course, all were her real voice.

Nah, no drama really deserve a 10. I do that knowing there will be haters who will rate it down.
