that's why Love020 is one of the most childish and abusive Cdramas on the road. Because young people are not able…
If you feel that LS and FIYS are still for youngsters, you have just reaffirmed the data above, that YAMG indeed appeals to a more adult audience. We don't have to be geniuses to even realise that. Just look the age of of QJJ and YT in YAMG. If the ages of characters in these other dramas are young, you know for sure they are aimed at a younger audience. This is not to say that those dramas are bad in anyway. Just different. So, no point comparing.

She also looks so skinny. Her legs are thin like a pair of chopstick.
We are watching a drama here. What has the size of her legs got to do with her acting ability? Or the quality of this drama?? Will be nice to know your opinion.

Very very few people has one and only one job right after college, and stick to it till they retire. All of us has had to come to grips with a change of job, or same job but work in a different company. What YT faced is most frightening. Total change of industry/job that makes you feel that all those years spent in the previous industry went down the drain.

If we face this sort of situation in our early 20s, it is still ok. We maybe wasted just a year or at most 2. If we change at 30, we could be looking at wasted years of 7-8, which can be really painful. The older we are, when change is needed, the worse it becomes.

Dilraba is so Beautiful.... ❤️❤️❤️I have been taking snaps whenever i see her in episodes..
We will not know what we have missed, till she retires from the entertainment industry. Not just her beauty but her acting talents, her beautiful personality when off-screen.

I agree with you...not many people are seeing the differences. I hope that they don't compare any particular drama…
I don't why, but when I first came to this page, this seems one of the most common comments. People would say, oh, this is another drama like Love Scenary, plot wise. Or this is another gaming drama like Falling into your smile.

The most important fact is You Are My Glory aims to depict a diverse field with Aerospace industry and Entertainment…
The contents that you wrote, particularly the inner turmoil of pursing dreams vs reality, is not heavily emphasized in either Love Scenery or Falling into your smile, am I right?

Because if this is also emphasized, and the only thing that changed is the industry used (something else, instead of the Aerospace industry), it will certainly YAMG make similar to either of those other two dramas.

I did not watch Coco, so don't really know the plot. But them watching that cartoon, it was intentional? Or random?
Thanks folks. I thought so too myself, but was not 100% sure. Surely the director/screenwriter will have them watch something that will resonate with either one of them. And YT seems to be facing issues, something that resonate with him makes sense. Nice to have it affirmed.

This has been mentioned by quite a few people here, and I think it really makes YAMG different from the other…
This is it! They are both 29, in real life. And they are playing characters who are both 29. For sure we will be watching deeper and mature romance, unlike those rom-coms that appeal to young teenagers. Dilraba retained some of her cuteness. Other than that, everything is totally very adult oriented. I did not read the novel, but all who have read said what is coming up will be YT dealing with work and life related issues.

It still early days, but let me do some audience analysis to help differentiate between YAMG, Love Scenery, FIYS and Love020.

Not sure if you are aware, but MDL compiles statistics for demographic profile of viewers by age. If you go the top of the page, you see the average rating in bright orange. You will then see a line that say your ratings and right below that is another line that says Ratings, from how many users. That line, on the extreme right, if you click on the bar chart icon, you will see the age distribution of viewers.

YAMG has just starting airing, so audience profile is not complete. But, judging from the comments by many of you, that later episodes are going to deal with life issues, and pretty soon, we will see nothing of those games, when the full statistics are in after YAMG has finished its run, I suspect the audience profile is going to skew even more toward slightly older age group.

Here are some simple numbers for us to chew on, by just looking at the first number, you can see the startling difference:

1. Falling into your smile: % of audience aged between 13-17 who watched it: 27.55%
2. Love Scenery: for the same age group (13-17): 25.37%
3. You are my glory: 14.72%

Guess what the same statistic for Love020? A whopping 80.9%!!

What do these numbers tell us? Love020 is definitely for the very young people. If you had watched Love020 some years back, no need to feel bad that this is a more mature version of Love020. Don't blame the screenwriter/novel writer for YAMG. She meant to write this drama for an older audience, who like to see the characters deal with more mature life issues. You can choose to either 'grow-up' with this drama, or you can say, I've got enough. No thanks. That is quite Ok and understable. Just don't watch YAMG,

Now on to Falling into your smile and Love Scenery, same thing, but not quite as dramatic as Love020. Still, these two dramas attracted double the % of audience from 13-17 age group who watched them (compared to YAMG). What does that tell us?? There are more elements in these two dramas that appealed to the really young group. Perhaps it is due to those games. Perhaps it has to do with one of the leads. Love Scenery has a very young male lead. Falling into your smile has a very young female lead. Perhaps through those leads, they appealed to younger people. I did not watch Love Scenery nor Falling into your smile. But people who have watched both and also YAMG keep telling me the three dramas are really very different.

Looking at these numbers, they seem to tell us the same story, that they are indeed very different. And it does make sense to me. Tencent owns the broadcast rights to all the three dramas (LS, FIYS, YAMG). They will not want to release three dramas that show basically the same thing, so close apart. Does not make business sense, because coming so close apart, audience will be sick of it. So, while on the surface they appear similar, at the deeper level, they really appeal to different age group via their contents or the age of those leads, or even those leads themselves.

The only common thread across these three dramas, they all contain these games. But what the screenwriters want to tell us, the lessons they want to convey, the appeal, they are totally different. YAMG is definitely targetted for slightly older people, even if there could be some elements are common across all three dramas, or they have leads that appeal to different groups of fans.

So, just pick your own drama to love. There really is not much point keep coming here to compare the three. If you don't like Dilraba or Yang Yang or both, don't watch YAMG. Honestly? You will be torturing yourself. Or you don't like dramas that deal with life issues, but prefer the pure gaming sort, maybe try one of the others?? Coming here to tell us you wish there were more gaming stuff does not make sense, if FIYS had more gaming stuff and you have just finished that drama. If you love that kind of drama so much, no harm to keep re-watching them 2-3 times.

I am not trying to show disdain for people who do not like YAMG. Hardly. Taste for a drama is very subjective. Don't like it, it is ok. Just move on. Try some other stuff.

I am LOVING the way they wrote the FL character and dilireba is playing her perfectly. It's like the perfect romcom…
This has been mentioned by quite a few people here, and I think it really makes YAMG different from the other gaming dramas. People who have 'caught' this gender role reversal will really appreciate this drama.

And I don't really see this as a rom-com. At least not the fluffy high school brand of rom-com. Whatever humour there is is very mature. I did not read the novel, but people who have read the novel seems to say that this is a drama for matured working adults, with a sprinkling of humour here and there. That is also the impression I get, after watching the 1st 8 episodes.

i think this is quite fast pace especially in the early eps for a chinese historical drama. don't know if that's…
I fully agree with you. Ashile Sun is a very well written character. The GeSun couple is very well written. They are very unique in their relationship, with lots of mutual respect and trust. And AS does really care for all his troops. Later on, Shuyu will also start to become useful, though his role is still unimpressive, compared to the other main characters in this drama.

Anyone noticed how the story has reversed this trope where ML is stable in his career, has huge success, secure…
I do remember someone mentioned this, in the comments below. It does make it interesting, doesn't it?? Strong Female Lead!

I'm here lol
We don't have to worry about TLB anymore. It is very well 'protected' from haters. A number of regulars are still there. When YAMG was aired, I had to choose between the Olympics and this drama. I put this on hold for an hour, finished my favourite sport and then watched this, 8 straight episodes. Will re-watch in WeTv.

That is good! For this drama, the important thing is to be able to understand the plot. Once you understand the plot, you will be totally in love with it. Because the plot for this drama is totally unique in C-Drama. Very few screenwriters dare to make the female lead this smart, strong, and brave, at such a young age.

I'm not into games at all! But here the graphics looks so good and the way they introduced is so cool lol that…
Yeah. I watched some episodes of her dramas. She is not a bad actress at all! But she played mainly comedic roles. And YAMG is hardly like any of the dramas she acted in. So this cameo will be interesting for her.

I love the gaming parts. It's so cool to add that in instead of having the actors act as part of the game.
Oh? Actually, you have explained it yourself. You said you are a fan of that game, and the graphics/animation is indeed rather well done. Unfortunately, many are not fans of these games. It is a very very difficult decision for the screenwriter and the director, how many such scenes to show. Too little, those who love these games will complain; too many, and others will complain. In the end, it becomes a number game. How many people like and how many do not like, and try to strike a balance between the two.
