Can you please elaborate on the metrics that were used to determine that Dilraba is number 1 in China? Is it a…
For her role as Li Changge, someone in the TLB forum mentioned this. Dilraba delibrately put on weight, so that her cheeks will look chubbier, and she will appear younger. She was 28, when she filmed TLB, and Li Changge was only 14, in Episode 1 of TLB. That is why she looked fat in the TLB, to narrow her actual age and Li Changge's age.
After filming TLB, she stopped eating so much, went back to her normal frame to film YAMG. That is the kind of sacrifices she made, in order to play her roles well. I guess not just her. But lots of other actors and actresses do the same, those who are really dedicated to their profession.
Can’t believe the drama is almost here! 😊 YAY!!! So very excited to see one of my favorite couples in a novel…
Yes, the downside of bingeing is that you cannot take part in the comments section till it is over. Since you have read the novel, it will be very hard for you to resist coming here to comment.
Lots of people here will tell you how to watch it online. Not to worry. There is a lady from the TLB forum. She is good with that. There are others here as well.

This is going to be interesting. I am a grandma in the 60s, from Singapore. Retired, so have lots of time to watch dramas. I stopped watching HK movies and dramas quite a while back. So many of the titles that you mentioned, I am not familiar with them at all.
I think the golden age of HK dramas are over. For historical dramas, they are no match for mainland Chinese dramas. Some of the best HK directors have gone to China, and brought their skills with them.
For modern drama, HK modern dramas got killed by Kdramas. I don't really watch lots of modern Kdramas. Just the mega hits. Yes don't start on them. Can be rather addictive.
There are lots of young people here. So, the generational difference will mean that I am likely to view YAMG differently from many people here.
To be honest, I don't really watch many modern Cdramas as well. I am curious to see how Dilraba and Yang Yang will pull this off.
what? is that true??? really disappointed for my gesun!!
Lmlyd is the name of the viewer who felt disappointed for GeSun
Here in this forum, we accept all kinds of opinions. You watched TLB when it first aired, but you did not join this forum 2 months ago. If you did, you would know why people who said the Haoyan couple had more chemistry got all the push back from lovers of the GeSun couple, or why Lusi fans got so much push back from Reba fans.
I am way past those days of 2 months plus ago, so am no longer interested in such conversation. But staying here for more than 2 months does allow me to know the profile of people who prefer the 2nd couple compared to the 1st. I am not 100% right, but quite close to it

I see. I don't follow Rosy all that closely. No idea that XHCL was the original title of Lover Like the Galaxy.
Anyway, those days are way over those of us who have been here for more than 2 months. Lmlyd is new, felt the great on-screen chemistry of the GeSun couple, and so felt a bit sad that Wu Lei has to act with Rosy.

Interesting, You were one of those silent lurkers who just read all the comments and yet did not comment.
Lots of people were attacking Dilraba initially. You might have read Collesa's comments below. Some did not like the hairstyle, others said she was too fat. Even before the drama was aired, many also said she does not look sufficiently Chinese to act in an historical drama.
Maybe you felt that she was already adequately defended by all the people in the forum and did not feel any need to comment.
Those kinds of attacks will not happen here now. She lost all those weight that she put on, just to play the role of Li Changge. She wears her signature long hair in YAMG. This is a modern drama, so they cannot say she does not look sufficiently Chinese.
But, we can be sure. Some of her haters will still come here and complain something about her. We need not worry. We just cheer her and Yang Yang and ignore those haters.
what? is that true??? really disappointed for my gesun!!
Oh dear! You joined this forum rather late. Two months ago, in early June, we felt the same way you are feeling now. We were really angry when Wu Lei and Lusi announced that they would pair up for their new drama Love Like the Galaxy, just weeks after the last episode of TLB. Some described it as Leyan commiting adultery against her cousin Li Changge. Someone from this forum was so angry, she went as far as to delete all photos and videos she has of the GeSun couple.
But two months on, we have to accept the fact. Gesun couple exists only in the drama. In real life, those actors and actresses have move on, once they finished acting in TLB.
We are no longer sad, because Dilraba has also moved on in her new acting projects. After TLB, she went on to film The Blue Whisper. And right now, she is in Hengdian Studios filming The Legend of Anle with another male lead.
But their role as Li Changge and Ashile Sun will forever remain in our hearts.
falling into your smile ( modern drama ) or goodbye, my princess (ancient drama) !!
I take my hats off to you! You have a very broad range for all kinds of historical dramas, certainly broader than mine. You amazed me. How on earth you managed to watch all that many, I have no idea. And you watched all these on normal speed? Not like 1.5x??
Bambi, I was scrolling down all the pages here yesterday, and I just realised that you actually watched this drama…
Amazing! And so interesting that the thought about the kiss would just suddenly pop into your head, months after you watched it. Lots of people were not happy about that scene with the two parrots. But you are the only one who said you would be happy if that scene were to be replaced by animation.
This shows that the use of those animation in this drama did not bother you at all. If only many more people share your view, this drama would have been rated much higher than the average of 8.6.
Anyway, I am like you. I love so many things about this drama, I was also not too bothered about those animation. I am just happy I was able to explain some things to you and make you feel that coming back here to ask that question was worth it.
I don't think there will be any war between Reba fans and Gongjun fans in this forum. Many of us pivot over to…
Mainland fans tend to be more fanatical. They really throw acid at each other and have no problem labelling actresses or actors they do not like with really bad names. I think we are further away from China and have less tendencies to incite hate, even if there are actors/actresses we do not like.
Reba has a long history of working well with all her male leads. She will respect whoever she is working with. In The Long Ballad, Wu Lei, the male lead, is a full 8 years younger than her. Yet, if you see many of their off-screen interviews, never once she treats him like a little kid, but would always try to behave as if he is an older brother and she a younger sister. Even while filmng TLB, she will treat him most respectfully.
Trailers for YAMG shows that she will have great on-screen chemistry with Yang Yang.
We should fully expect her to have great on-screen chemistry with Gongjun and Legend of Anle will be a great hit in China and internationally.
26/7 officially confirmed.Gu Man novels are highly loved in China based on the comments in douban and weibo, I…
Gu Man wrote the novel LoveO2O, and was also the screenwriter for the drama, which was very well received. Shows that she is not a novice in the business of screenwriting. We should be in good hands.
Lots of space related stuff, make look like astronauts. Love it!

Are you by any chance a fan of LS??
