I don't think she excelled in those dramas. I am not saying she did bad. But just not as outstanding compared to historical dramas.

But, her next modern drama is coming up. Many are hoping it will be a breakout role for her in modern dramas, the way playing Li Changge was in TLB.

She is already an A-lister in China. Doing well in 'You are My Glory' will just make her climb higher amongs all the A-listers. She cannot match the guys. Too many girl viewers around in China. But she can at least climb closer to Yang Mi and Zhao Liying.

Yes, running against the grain made her stand out. After TLB, she is done with all those previous roles in historical dramas that made her act cute or juvenile, or always have be rescued by guys. She can play strong and smart really well in historical setting.

There must be lots of scripts with roles like that for female actresses. After her performance in TLB, she is going to be a strong contender to act as the FL in all of those dramas. She has proven what she can do.

Yes, they were all clammering to kill her. Just about everyone. And he was the only who wanted to keep her alive. Good thing he was the one who mattered. The big boss. And no one dared to overrule his decision. Or that person will feel the wrath of his arrows.

I am not 100% sure myself. If I were to venture a guess, the key decision maker is Yan Bei, the producer for TLB. I think she is a big fan of Reba. But they really need to have good quality scenes that are yet to be aired. There is no way she can call everyone back just to film new scenes for E50.

And then we also have to see if Tencent is willing to air E50, if Yan Bei does have the desire to do it.

If it does happen, we will be overjoyed. But we must be prepared for the event that this might never happen.

I remember, for Eternal Love of Dream, fans knew there many scenes shot that were never shown. They fought like crazy, but that additional episode just did not come

For me, if ever this does happen, it will really mean the stuff in TLB became reality. Reba so much older will just mean Wu Lei will not have the guts to tell her what to do with her career. And I heard someone said Reba wants to have 3 children. Wu Lei is young and will have all the energies to make that possible.

But China is still a very traditional society. There will be many who feel that she should marry someone older than her. I do not fear what Reba's parents will think. They are probably in Xinjiang and they would probably not mind too much if she does marry someone like Wu Lei. He does come across as a nice kid, who will be able to take care of his wife.

I fear more for Wu Lei's parents. Will they be willing to accept a daughter-in-law who is so much older than their son? I guess both Wu Lei and Reba will have alot of selling to do in that regard. And if push comes to shove, will Wu Lei have the guts and heart to tell his parents, this is his life and he is old enough to take care of himself?

And how will all their fellow stars in the industry react to this union? I guess there will be endless chatter, if and when the news does break. And the best way to kill off all those who predict doom and gloom will be when one day, Reba gives birth to their kids, they have a happy marriage, and help to dispel the notion that an older female actress cannot and shoud not marry a younger fellow actor.

I do not see why Reba's new drama with Yang Yang will falter. The description of her character makes me feel that this is right up her alley and will play to her strength as an actress. And Yang Yang had played a somewhat similar role in another drama.

Coming right after TLB, her next release will help Reba build momentum in her career

Leo will indeed have another release this year, but he is not the main lead. It is one of those dramas where they pull in all the big stars and each person just act in one or two episodes. His next drama as the ML will only be released next year, and looking at the poster, that one looks like a comedy. The next time we see him in a serious role could well be early 2023.

Honestly? You are already rather generous with her character or role. There was someone who was here in this forum who wanted the screenwriters to kill her off very early. Said she was a useless character, and we had some 'heated' exchanges when I had to point out that as a side character, she did a lot of good stuff for quite a few people, which is why her death brought sadness to so many (and not just Mujin)

You are not wrong at all. In the manhua, which the source material for this drama, Changge is the main character. So, if she dies, you can just imagine how sad people will be.

Do not need to feel all that sad for Mimi. Here in the drama, the screenwriters gave the character an extended role. In the manhua, Mimi died even earlier. Here, she died only toward the very end and her character was instrumental to the main plot and was loved so many.

Yes, no happy ending for Mujin. But it is a war story, so they need to be realistic and show that people do die. Even good ones. But Mujin do have Buzhen, Mimi's brother. Through him, he can always stay connected to Mimi. He can keep Mimi's ashes with him, wherever he goes in the grasslands.

Yes, she is just a freak of nature in terms of her intelligence and ability for someone so young. Yet, possess such a charming personality and character that even an enemy cannot help but fall in love with her. The many mistakes she made only made her more human, more relatable. We must thank Xia Da, the author of the manhua, for having the creativity to write a character like Li Changge.

If they do get into a romantic relationship in real life, it will cause an earthquake in the Chinese entertainment industry. I will be shocked, but in a very pleasant way. I dare not imagine how this will impact their respective careers. If they do hook up, lots of people will go back to re-watch TLB, the same way people went back to watch Crash Landing on you.

This year especially. Many of her fans must be extremely pleased by her exceptional performance in TLB

She may yet have to spend more bdays there in future. I think she performs better in historical than modern dramas. All those historical costumes, there is a not a single one that does not look great on her. From one historical to another, she is the unchanging constant. The essential raw material. All they need are great costume designers.

Plus, of course, all those weapons handling skill, horse riding, jumping, kicking. flipping. She is simply made for historical CDrama.
