I always have this feeling. The two screenwriters or scriptwriters always wanted to improve from the manhua, to make those character stronger than they are in the manhua or more 'useful.'

You do need to be strong. There will be some other kids that will be killed in this drama. Someone even commented. Not sure why the screenwriters loved to kill kids

Part of it has to do with the OSTs or BGM that were played during those scenes. They were chosen to connect with the scenes to evoke more emotions in us. If there is a way for us watch those scenes without the musical background, you can be sure, we would have saved a lot of tissue paper.

Before watching the clip, I thought she was doing CPR to one of her drama fans.

Especially the Khatun. She is a professional serial hostage taker. Always forcing the people who loved the hostage or the hostages themselves to do her bidding. Mimi's brother, Sun's mother, Mujin. Even Lie Mon, the guy who killed Mimi, was her hostage emotionally.

The way the scriptwriters wrote her death in the drama, they wanted to show Sun to be forgiving. He had another arrow all cocked and ready. But he just couldn't shoot another one at Sheer or the Khatun (who was shielding Sheer).

With a big part of his attachment to the grasslands now gone, he was free to go in search of the other woman most important to him (Changge) when she was lost and would later show that he could forgive her (for the role she played in his mother's death)

I am digressing just a little, but I think forgiveness was a theme the two scriptwriters wanted to bring across very strongly in this drama. For all the evil that the Khatun did, even in that last scene, Changge held up her arm, and told her to come back to Tang. Li Simin will not kill her even if she had plotted to revive the Sui Dynasty by bringing Tang down. All will be forgiven.

Many of the fractured relationships in this drama were healed by forgiveness. So many, I lost count.

Ok. We need to remember, this drama is an adaption of a manhua that is yet to be completed. Those who have read the manhua said the manhua ended at the point shortly after Ashile Sun found out Li Changge is a girl and wanted to marry her.

So, in a way, the drama has already done quite a fair bit of extension from the manhua, to give us a rather nice story. Put another way, lots of stuff we see in the drama, we will not see in the manhua.

This is a 49 episode drama, so they do not really have the time to show
what happened to all the tribes. And this drama was never meant to be a history lesson covering what happened in the Eastern Turkic Khaganate around this point in history.

The main focus of the drama was on the journey of Li Changge, up to this point in time, which would be approximately 5 years after her parents were killed (we would know later in the drama, her mother actually committed suicide and not killed by her uncle). So just these 5 years, what happen to her in her life journey. Who she met, what did she do together with them. Their adventures together, and how those adventures changed their live goals, and their character. All these, the drama portrayed very well.

Not sure what war you are referring to, but the ending scene shows Changge and Sun settling down together happily in the grasslands. What happened to their lives after this, we will need Season 2.

We also know what happened to all the bad guys (and the main villainess). There is proper closure for all the main characters and even the supporting characters.

Most of us in this forum concur, it is a rather satisfying ending. We know what we needed to know or want to know. Anything beyond this, is beyond the scope of this drama. If there is no scope, a drama will have no end. Even if there are 94 episodes, we will keep asking, what happened to this couple and that couple?

Ok. This sounds like super good news for them, and also super good news for people like us, who admire them from afar and wish them nothing but success after success. It is fair reward for their exceptional performance

I don't know if there is drama awards for couple in China, like those in Korea. If there is, the GeSun couple should win it next year

No actual mouth-to-mouth kiss. But two actual forehead kisses. And lots and lots of other gestures to show deep love and affection between the FL and ML. It will so obvious, when you watch the drama

Should be both. Both are tied to advertising money and subscription money. Just that somehow, international viewership is not reported. Not sure why

I would say Episode 5, at the riverbank?? At the scene which we could labelled as 'the touch'? When he felt something soft, while expecting something muscular? Or a small hill, instead of a plateau? Take your pick.

After that, every action of his would tell us he was completely smitten by her. All of those scenes and episodes showing his one-sided romance are some of the cutest and sweetest in the the drama.

Many of us share the way your heart respond to thoughts of the GeSun couple.

Whose heart would not flutter, with their uniqe brand of romance and chemistry and context? A tomboy Tang princess who does not know what romance is all about. A grassland general from the enemy side, deterimined to help the Eastern Turks bring down the Tang Dynasty.

The events that would bring them together, and the kind of adventures they went through together in the drama, that brought them closer and closer, that resulted in mutual trust, mutual protection and mutual understanding. Their brand of non-toxic, non-possessive, equal-partner relationship makes a them truly a unique couple in Cdramaland.

Most adult viewers would have no problem associating all those little actions between Wu Lei and Reba, to convey love and affections. I am just curious. The young children of you friends, when they watch TLB, do they understand all those little gestures? Your friends, do they ask their young children if they could feel the love and affection between Changge and Ashile Sun? And if they do, what made them feel that way? If their answers are similar to ours, it just meant that the director has succeeded in overcoming the lack of kiss scenes. And future directos who cast Wu Lei in romantic roles need not worry about the no-kiss clause.

Most people here in this forum share your sentiments, that those little actions more than made up for the lack of mouth-to mouth-kiss scenes. Not sure about the viewers in China. I know they were not happy about the animation used to replace the battle scene and other scenes. Just wondering if the lack of kiss scenes also turned them off from the LTB
