Notice that it started with the scene when Changge was fleeing, even though chronologically speaking it was not the first scene. And then it ended with Changge at the grasslands. Now, I just realised, in the final episode, she had the last word. The final sentences in the drama belonged to her. A true tribute to this young lady

If Asun lets Shuyu win, he would get out of marrying Leyan. But Asun just told Changge, "I am not going to lose to Shuyu, not infront of you."

In real life, the grasslands is huge. There should be many many tribes and clans, other than Ashile tribe. The Ashile tribe is likely the most dominant tribe. Even the deserts tribes (like Mobei and Monan) are afraid of them

After her performance in the LTB? Would be an insult if another celebrity won that award. She put her heart and soul into the character, often having the manhua next to her and not just the script. She wanted to make sure Changge's character in the drama would not be too jarring to manhua lovers. They added or modified many scenes. So her portrayed needed to be faithful to the manhua, while still flowing smoothly in the drama.

Said this many times and will say it again. This drama is about Li Changge's journey. She is the primary character. If her portrayer is off, it is not just bad for TLB, but bad for her career.

But, we do know. She nailed it. And for many of us, she brought the Changge in the manhua to our TV, our mobile, laptop or desktop, or whichever medium we used to watch the TLB. The mole, the two strands of hair by her side. The essential character we see in the manhua. Smart, fearless, a tomboy bent on taking revenge but grew to realise the country's interest was more important than her personal goals. That final animation in the final scene showed her ultimate vision for Tang: ordinary citizens have food to eat. Clothes to wear. Tang will be culturally rich, open to commerce and all kinds of artistic expressions.

Still thinking aloud about this issue. It is one thing for Hao Do to win and call off the wedding. If Sun won, it could well be a different story. The Khatun could well use the marriage alliance between two nations excuse and really force Leyan to marry Sun.

There is this real possibility, So, honestly? It was great that Sun did not fight. We just do not know how things would have turned out, should he win.

At the very least, it would delayed the drama. Screen writers don't really want to make the drama too draggy.

The way the story is written is just nice. Shows Sun only has one woman is his mind. And was not going to marry another woman, free will or otherwise

In Sun's mind, winning meant he had to marry Leyan. Rightly or wrongly, that was his assumption. That is why he refused to fight Sheer. No matter how hard Changge pushed him to do it. On the other hand, Changge felt differently. She felt things can change, even if Sun fought and beat Sheer. That they could always talk to Li Simin and he will think of some excuse not to let Sun marry Leyan (if Leyan or Sun do not wish to marry each other).

There are lots of possibilities and all of you could be right. But, all these possibilities become rather academic, once Hao Du stepped in to fight Sheer and beat him.

The scene after that does suggest that if Hao Du does not love Leyan, he could still back of the deal. Leyan would never force someone to marry her, if he does not love her. Leyan would likely have spoken to her father and call off the deal. They were in Tang territory, and he is the big boss.

Either jealousy, or he wouldn't want to lose face, in front of Changge
