This is true. I was also a bit surprised. Why should she play 2nd fiddle to Reba, when she herself is already the FL is so many other dramas? Until you realise, her role in TLB is somewhat different. She said so herself, that she gets to play a role she has never tried before

I do think playing Leyan is good for her. It will help prepare her for all her new projects. And we do wish her well

I dropped Douluo Continent after like 5 episodes, even tho I do like Xiao Zhan, after The Untamed. Not sure why. Maybe the plot?

There isn't any historical blockbuster slated for Q4. But, I could be wrong.

I am waiting for You are my Glory. That should be out, maybe around September. I want to see if Reba's performance in modern dramas has also improved, the way it did in historical. If the plot is no good, I might even drop that and just wait for next year

I think they deliberately want to make the young princess ignorant or even jealous about the relationship between CG and Ahsun, so viewers like you and me will respond the way we do, "Come on. Move it, you underaged lampost"

Yup. Very much so. Could see from all her facial expressions, whenever Ashun pays more attention to CG than her. The actress who play this role is very young, so her facial expressons could be better. But they are sufficient to convey, she did have a crush on Ahsun.

Yet, when you think about it, it is not all that unrealistic. In the drama, her character is 14? Changge about 15-16, maybe 17, by the time Changge got to Mobei. So, she probably thought, I stand a chance. I am not much younger than Changge.

Feng Jun Jie. Age 13 this year. Dilraba mentioned that he grew taller by a few inches while filming TLB last year. I thought that was cute.

He it too young to play any leading role.

But his movie/drama list in MLD shows that he is also a child actor (like Wu Lei). His first role was way back in 2015, 6 years ago. He was only 7 years old, then?

He will have a great future, if his performance in TLB is anything to do by. I don't see any up and coming drama or movie project. He could well be attending classes in junior high

That is really long!! They better have a very very good script. And very good supporting cast. No way Leyan and Asun can carry a drama that long. Even Yang Mi and Mark Chao needed Dilraba and Vengo Gao in TMOPB

Same here. Nothing out there that comes remotely close to TLB. Guess it is a matter of taste. And, for some of us, our tastebud changed, after watching TLB.

That is not to say the Imperial Coroner is lousy or other dramas out. I went to check up on some of the comments in the Imperial Coronor. Some viewers really like it. Even felt that it was the best historical drama in whole of 2021.

Some even said it is better than dramas with big names. I am sure, without even mentioning names, they were thinking of TLB. Or Legend of Fei.

Guess we will need to wait for 2022, and see who wins more acting awards.

Haha. That was one of those I started on. After the 1st episode, I dropped it. After watching Reba's performance in TLB, it was very difficult to watch the FL's performance in Imperial Coroner. And after a few scenes in episode 1, I thought it will be just like another drama of similar genre, and there are quite a few out there which I did finish watching. Didn't want to spend time watching something similar

Yes, very slow. When Asun refused to let him carry Changge, at the river scene, he had no clue why. And the stuff he then spoke to himself, really cute. Any other person, Asun would have said, "Be my guest". Not when it comes to Changge.

But I must say, the actor portrayed his role well. He was consistently dimwitted throughout the drama.

I think Yaro's death was a big blow to Asun. They were together from the very first episode. He was very much trusted by Asun.

But this is a drama with war and battles as the backdrop. Many characters had to die. It was just a question of who will go when.

I was just hoping they will not kill the ML and FL. Especially Li Changge. I knew the manhua was not completed, so the scriptwriters can do almost anything. And this director, he had the FL killed right at the very end in Noble Aspiration (2016). Even season 2 of that drama could not bring her back to life.

I think the director learned his lesson very well. Lots of negative reaction. Kill another FL? I don't think any producer will look for him. Certainly not another female producer.

Oh, that clip was done by some fans. In the drama, there was no such scene at all. They did not go through any such traditional marriage ceremony , but were still very much married technically

Yes, I tried to watch two other dramas recently. After about 1 episode each, I dropped them both. I find their plots either too shallow, too predictable, or the actors' and actresses' portrayal of their characters nothing compared to those found in TLB.

I just came back to re-watch some of my favourite scenes in TLB. Or just listen to the OSTs.

I will keep waiting and waiting, for the next TLB to come along. Another drama this enchanting, this mesmerising. I also know. It will be a long long wait
