Just finished watching and wow definitely top 10 historical dramas. Loved the ost.Btw can someone explain the…
Difficult question to handle. Mimi 0108 has given a very good answer. The pandemic reason is not so strong. As you have noticed, Mujin and Mimi had a kissing scene. But catering to a younger audience and other reason do make a lot of sense.
Different actors/actresses have different preferences. One commentator in this forum noted that in all of Wu Lei's previous dramas, not a single kiss scene. That adds strength to the argument that he has a no-kiss clause in all his acting contracts.
And Wu Lei was not even the first choice to play the ML
Destiny would have it that he was chosen and we ended up with the parrot scene, and all those close up electrifying gazes that Wu Lei and Reba threw at each other, hand holding, forehead kisses, all those micro gestures, etc. to show love, affection and intimacy, in place of passionate mouth-to-mouth kisses.
A'Sun and She'er *insert crying emojis*I love love love love how they gave them a nice arc and ending by the end…
This is exactly the kind of roller coaster ride the scriptwriters wanted to put us through. Since most people enjoy physical roller coaster, it makes sense that we elso enjoy emotional ones
Dramas that have too many predictable characters are less engaging and less fun to watch
From my understanding Ashile sun is suppose to be dead , so he’s suppose to lay low and not be involve in all…
Yes. Or like that scene in at the Taoist sanctuary, when in one smooth motion, he jumped off the roof, picked up a sword and swung it like a boomerang to kill those about to hurt Changge. That was super fast too.
Like what FairyDustpuppy said, beautiful actress, inside out. We will only know what we missed, the day she stepped…
Yang Mi's marriage lasted just 4 short years. They are very close. Pretty sure Dilraba would have spoken to Yang Mi, to find out what went wrong, so that she can do what's best for herself, marriage wise.
I am not a big fan of modern Chinese dramas.
What charmed me to historical Cdramas is the setting. Those beautiful costumes, georgeous scenaries, realistic looking production set and some of the ancient Chinese customs, like what do during ancient Chinese weddings, etc.
But Dilraba does some good modern dramas. I think they are in the drama list in MDL
this really isn't the type of drama for people who is all about easy viewing or wants to be spoon-fed.
This might explain its lower viewership compared to those easily digested "I-will-tell-you everything" type of dramas. Some will give up, the moment certain scenes in TLB do not make sense to them. Which could be early as scene 2.
It's ok. I like both couples, but I rewatch scenes of the second one more often. Basically, every night. Before…
100% agree with you! Just that I have more respect for those with good reasons than for those with none. And zero for those who come to the comments section to sow discord.
Those with good reasons usually hang around this forum for a long time. They know that even though more like the 1st couple, this forum is big enough to accomodate all kinds of preferences. Some may even be curious to find why others like the 1st couple more.
People who try to bring discord usually do not last long in this forum. Their intentions will be quickly uncovered and they will be swamped by genuine lovers of the drama, regardless of their preference for which couple.
it would've gotten the immediate 'shit, i was beaten by a girl??' moment lol which would be nice but yea they…
I concur. Episode 1 is bit too early. The manhua version is far too late. The drama version is just right.
The scriptwriters for TLB must have given this aspect a lot of thought. When and how he found out Changge is a girl may only came about in Episode 5. But it does change a huge proportion of the storyline for the drama, and hence many of the scenes.
They really wanted to show the change in what attracted Ahsun to Changge. First, as a competitor; then, a survival. And, by episode 5, a girl. By next episodes, in the defense of that city, it was back to admiration.
It was admiration, affection, and then back to admiration (when he realised she was the one behind the defense of that Shuchou). More impactful, from a drama point of view. Reason upon reason why he wanted Changge to his life partner.
It makes the snow walk surrender scene very meaningful, and add a romantic slant as to why he wanted to keep her next to him. Not just because she is a good military strategist, but because he had been smitten by her long before the surrender of Shuchou
That river scene would not have been the occasion Ahsun first found out that Changge is a girlManhua readers said…
I watched A class of her own too! But I just could not finish it. Just not credible for those guys not to know that the FL was not a female for that long
The scriptwriters are far too smart to take TLB down the same path. They know that most viewers will not like that.
When an actress is gorgeous inside out as well as multi talented, there will be lots of people out there spewing…
She will. She has far more fans than anti-fans. So, her acting skills and good personality will help her to strive and thrive. For a non-Han Chinese actor of any gender, she is probably the most successful in the showbiz industry
Image is particular important for product sponsorship. If Reba is just a pretty face who wears revealing dresses, she would not have been selected a spokesperson for so many products.
Just take one example
This is what Mikimoto said about Reba, when they select her to be their brand ambassador: Chinese actress Dilraba Dilmurat, who has risen to stardom in Asia, has been our Asia-Pacific brand ambassador since 2018. There is something so pure and honest about her, which is in sync with what we represent. She is an embodiment of how wearing pearls can enhance your inner and outer beauty.
Mikimoto chose her because of both her inner and outer beauty. Wearing pearls merely enhances those qualities. They also recognised her rise to stardom in Asia, which resulted from her acting talents
very cute. not gonna lie, i initially had almost the same thoughts at him in the scene. i was like damn, CG is…
Yeah. When she dropped her head on his shoulder, he probably thought, I got my girl. Later, when he found why she did that, he must have been somewhat disappointed.
I want TLB team to discover this comment section so they can know that there efforts are being paid off, that…
I think some time ago, someone mentioned the same thing like you did. Perhaps someone from here managed to get in touch a member of production team for TLB, to express our appreciation for their hardwork? Hopefully this has happened
Do anyone have a video or asomething that introduces Dilraba or Zhao Lusi or Liu Yuning because I would like to…
You can try Wikipedia. Has all the basic facts about them, like age, weight, etc. Or even YouTube. For example, just type Who is Dilraba Dilmurat in YouTube, you will get to know lots of basic information about her. You can do the same for Zhao Lusi, Liu Yuning or any other cast member in TLB that you are interested to get to know more
i love reading everyone's analysis and comments here. Almost every day, I learn something new or see something…
That is the beauty of a comments section that is on fire. Always something new to learn. And always there are new people coming here, to contribute and add their views. It is fun, even if those views are different from ours. Helps us to look at things from another perspective, which is always refreshing
That river scene would not have been the occasion Ahsun first found out that Changge is a girlManhua readers said…
I see. He did not find out she was a girl until the Daoist temple. That will be like episode 28 in the drama? Goodness! That would have made it really draggy, if the drama had followed the manhua.
Like what FairyDustpuppy said, beautiful actress, inside out. We will only know what we missed, the day she stepped…
Her profile in MDL says Kezi is 25 this year. Guli Nazha is also very beautiful. But many of her dramas are not as highly rated as Dilraba's. We just need to check wikipedia, and we will know why. Just a long long list of awards won by Dilraba. Guli Nazha also won many. Just not as many as Reba
