They are different genre, so it is difficult to say which is better.

But if you like Dilraba, you will like this. In this drama, she performed better, or we should say, her role in The Long Ballad gives her the opportunities to display a wider range of acting abilities.

The pace is definitely faster than Eternal Love of Dreams. But there is less romance, as the main focus of the Long Ballad is focused on the character development of the many characters central to this drama.

Choreography of the fight scenes is better than in ELOD, so is the music and OSTs.

We should get Joy of Life season 2 next year. I think they have started filming. Hope they will give a bigger role to the drumstick lady

They will be spellbound by the TLB. Modern dramas, the Koreas are still king. Historical drama, the Chinese are better than them. TLB will beat many of their historical drama.

And our princess as beautiful and talented as their A-listers

Don't worry. The pace is very good. It flows very smoothly. Before you know it, each episode just flows to the next. You will grow to love the main couple, and 2nd couple. And the plot. Everything will draw you in. You will not feel that 49 episodes is too long.

I think awards will flow in next year. When awards judges realise the impact TLB had domestically and internationally. This show is not merely about entertainment. It can lead to women empowerment the same way Mulan does. And women empowerment can lead to positive changes in so many domains

He still has some remnant of the old world thinking, only guys can save the girls, and not the other way around.

She is as rare as Li Changge. Li Changge is fictional. Reba is real. Calling her Princess is highly appropriate

The CGI for that fire was poorly done. Maybe ran out of time or money or both. But it lasted only a few seconds. By then, I don't really care anymore. She is safe. That is most important. I hate directors who kill off the main leads.

This director did it in Noble Aspirations (2016).

You should, if you like dramas with strong female leads, adventure kind of stuff. Romance is not very heavy in this drama. But lots of life lessons you can learn. Great music and amazing fight scenes

We do not know. But, yeah, they could have shown her being hit by a falling beam or something, and hence could not run away and needed him to carry her out from the fire

He was the main lead in Bloody Romance (2018). That show has a very nice opening OST. Very haunting music. I watched it many years ago. Not so bad, actually. After that show, many people felt he was very suitable to portray Ashile Sun. He has the size and looks of a battlefield general. But he had some contract issues and could not be cast as Ashile Sun. And then was involved in some scandal. The producer and director for TLB must be very happy they did not cast him as Ashile Sun
