drama of the year indeed.. they have set the bar high for the rest of the dramas to be aired this year
Very high bar indeed. I hope the drama itself and some of the key cast members will win acting awards, as reward for a great movie and their fine performance

Welcome to the Twilight Zone of TLB. XD
Well said, all of you. TLB is one of those rare movies/dramas that just consume so much of our emotional and physical energies. We just keep investing. Hours, in re-watching ep after ep, in case we missed something during the previous re-watch

Especially those of us who rely on the English subtitled. First time, we probably to see what they were saying. 2nd time, to see all the actors and actresses facial expressions and other gestures that we may have missed. Third time, to simply appreciate the many lovely and iconic scenes. Forth time, because there just isn't any other drama as good as this, at the moment. Fifth time? Who knows why

Like you said. The Twilight Zone

In fact on this TLB set ... lots of actors worked together before. It's like a mini reunion on the set. There's…
Very much so. Especially those from Jaywalk Studio

Ok seriously keep rewatching the rescue scene of 48 and I've seen Mimi die like 3 times and each time it's made…
You are a perfectly normal healthy human being. responding to emotion of sadness. You probably scremed, "Good people should not have to die!" But she died a hero, saving the life of her best friend.

Those who did not cry probably watched it too many times and got immuned to that scene.

This was so great. I honestly can’t think of 1 flaw with this drama except maybe thinking it was unnecessary…
No major flaw in the scriptwriting, though maybe some minor ones in the production.

I think the writers wanted to kill Mimi to heighten our sadness. And maybe to convey some realism. In real life, sometimes, good people do perish. Even in death, they were kind to her. I did not read the manhua, but was told she died as a spy. Here in the drama, she died a heroine, taking that arrow for Li Chang Ge

It's a good storyline. But I don't like the ending, it seems like ended the whole story hastily.
It does seem a bit rushed. But I think they probably figured they did not have sufficient meaningful material to drag it to 50 episodes.

We still do have all the answers we were looking for. In the end, the two main couples survived and have happy ending. The many broken relationships were healed. The main villain perished; and so did other evil characters in the drama. The good people who died, did not die in shame; they died as heroes. Good triumphed over evil. And our main protagonist lived to fight another day.

You don't have to leave. Ppl are still hanging around after they watched it.
There will still be people hanging around for a while, I think. Two years on, the comment section in Untamed is still very much alive. But it is no match for TLB in terms of number.

Hang around, in case anyone has questions that only you can answer

I fully agree with you. An actress who is beautiful inside out. Someone in this group commented, one of most scandel-free actresses in CDramaland.

She should win some acting awards for TLB. Her future is going to be very very bright, with or without Yang Mi's help.

To be fair, the entire cast acted well. But this show is about the journey of Li Changge. The title of the drama bears the character she portrayed. No matter how well the others performed, if she fails, this drama would have been a massive failure. People will laugh at her performance, more than they laugh at those animation.

But she delivered. She aced it. Because when we see Li Changge in the drama, we did not really see Dilraba. We saw a spunky little fearless kickass daredevil girl who dared to take on men who are bigger than her, stronger than her and smarter than her.

Her essential attributes from the manhua came through far louder and stronger than the mole below her right eye and those two strands of hair. She embodied feminism and empowerment for women. Her clothing, her body and all, may belong to the Tang Dynasty, but everything else about her is very 21st Century. Very relatable to every modern woman who do not want be held back by her husband, boyfriend or male boss.

But kudos to every single member of the cast of TLB, right down to that little girl, and the director, producer, the entire production crew, musicians and those in post production. It takes massive team effort to produce an epic drama that is TLB

I echo what many of you have said: Long live TLB

Indeed! I forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder. That knife must really meant a lot to both of them. It is a very nice symbol of their closeness.

In the end, he knows that Changge gone to the grassland with Asun. But each time he looks at that knife, he would be abe to feel her presence, that little girl whom he taught from a tender age; military strategies, archery, sword fighting and whatever else

That heart-to-heart really got to me especially when she chose to go to Dinxiang. GeSun really are the embodiment…
More than any of her previous dramas, I think TLB gives her the platform to showcase her full acting talent. Anger, love, disappointment, sadness, gratitude, joy, forgiveness, regret. She had the opportunities to show the full range of emotions. Plus all the fighting scenes. Most people would say, she aced them all in TLB.

She fully deserve those rankings.

Those who watched her in ELOD may well be wondering, what happened? Is this another actress? How did she improve in such a short time? Or, is this just because of the role? She has been good all along. Previous dramas cast her in roles that limited her abilities to show us what she can do

One could predict, after TLB, other producers and directors will be queuing up to sign up for their projects. She can pick and choose and won't up to pick up scraps.

Happy for her. She is an uyghur. No easy. She has to compete against truckload of Han Chinese actresses. Her acting chop in TLB proved that she is not just a pretty face.

Yes, just so many beautiful scenes in the countless relationships we witnessed in this drama. We can pick and choose whichever ones are more dear to us. Or, if time permits, we can watch the entire series over again and again

Well said. The scriptwriters really paid close attention to this. This is Li Changge's journey; so many things happened between her and so many people.

The writers want us to know, by the time the series ends, CG would have experienced closure in all these relationships, the most important of which must surely be her relationship with her beloved uncle
