...she made me furious in episode 45! I understand the horror of her situation but, from the start, Changge helps…
I agree. Yes, she does. I think that is her full time job. Studying everyone's weakness, and then scheme to see how she can leverage on the weakness to achieve her goals
I'm seriously contemplating what will fill the gap that The Long Ballad will leave once I watch the final 3 episodes…
I am amazed by the emotional attachment to this drama expressed by so many viewers. Clear evidence that it succeeded in whatever it was trying to achieve
Back to being an emotional wreck after Emperor and Changes heart to heart. Even though you may think being the…
This is in episode 46? Very emotional. When Changge returned the small knife to the Emperor, the same knife that she used in Episode 3, trying to kill him to take revenge for killing his family. No words were spoken when she gave him the knife, but it was symbolic. Changge's message to the Emperor was clear. We are all good. All is forgiven, even though you had killed my father. Hence, I have no need for this knife.
Sad, but nothing much we can do. If you try to explain the ending or why the drama deserves a higher rating, they…
Your survival guide is very wise. There are individuals who can be persuaded. But some will not change their opinion once they made up their mind about certain aspects of this lovely drama.
It seems that engaging them will just enable them. Ignoring and move on is wise.
There is a big community of people who are like minded, who love this drama for so many reasons, despite some loose ends and there. If we wait for the perfect drama, with zero plot holes, zero dialogue errors, zero production missteps, we will be staring at a blank screen in front of our TV or laptop or desktop.
Far better to invest time in sharing what we love about this drama with people who can look at the big picture, people who appreciate the monumental effort made by the cast and production team during the height of the pandemic last year.
Planning and the scriptwriting for this drama went further back than last year, but from filming (March to July last year), to post production, it took them merely about a year to bring us this lovely drama. Some dramas are still being locked up in never never land years after filming. Yet others may never ever be seen by the public.
Many are still unhappy about the use of animation to replace actual battle scenes. Despite lots of explanation, some remained unhappy. For me, I am willing to take the compromise anytime. Even if the director and producer had the money to do the actual battle scenes, or use CGI instead of animation, I suspect this will cause long delays. We may only be able to see TLB next year.
Next year? There are so many big names among the cast. We don't even need to mention who they are. Next year, they have other big projects waiting to roll out.
This was perfect timing for The Long Ballet to be broadcast.
In the final analysis, many of us were won over by the great acting of the cast in the midst of the pandemic, the great music (both the OSTs, and the BGM), the pacing, the countless epic and iconic scenes forever etched in our minds. We may yet visit some of these scenes in our dreams.
So, yes, let us enjoy the company of like-minded individuals, to heighten our appreciation of this lovely drama
...she made me furious in episode 45! I understand the horror of her situation but, from the start, Changge helps…
I had the same feeling. Mimi fell prey to our super villain, who is extremely good in finding out people's soft spots. She knew what was precious to Mimi, leverage on it and milked it to perfection. She also knew how to make use of Changge's softspots when they first met

That is how good our villain Yicheng is. She is a professional serial hostage taker, to make people do her bidding. Mimi became her tool, once her brother became her hostage. At this stage, Mimi was a disappointment. But she will more than redeem herself when she takes that arrow for Changge
I like that scene. After finding out she was a girl, he had a soft spot for her.
Indeed! In that epic surrender scene, it was the poor lovestruck kid's excuse for keeping her alive and have her by his side, when everyone was shouting 'kill her, kill her'
Nooooo, Mu Jin is tortured! ((((((((Finally there is a moment for Li Shimin to shine. Little Monan princess signing…
Yes, he made a proposal in front of her mother. Even tho he was not there, she accepted in front of her. Technically, that was it. They were married. No ceremony. No fanfare. Both sides parents all dead. One of the most unconventional marriages in cdramaland. Then again, what we can expect from such an unconventional couple?
It’s a happy ending. The lead got married even though they don’t have a wedding scene like the second couple.…
Yes, they are in the same place, the grassland. Many times in the drama, especially toward the last few espisodes, they both said they want to be together. The final scene, while they were not in the same frame, they were just nearby to each other, separated only by the flight of that falcon.
Technically, they were married. As MooBerry explained, Ashile Sun asked for her hand in marriage and Li Changge also told her mother that she is willing to be Ashile's husband.
Li Chang Ge is no ordinary girl. She is very independent. She is not the kind of wife that be tied to her husband 24/7. Ashile Sun gives her the freedom she wants. So that final scene merely implies he could be doing something, while she is on to another task. Therei s nothing to suggest that after that, they cannot meet up in their home.
He/she believed Changge and A'Sun didn't end up together.
My goodness. This person believed that?? Despite so many times Asun said he will be wherever Changge is, and she said she will go wherever he wants to go? Does this person even understand all the conversations that went on?
... it's gonna be a slow burn, but not a boring one! Both men will fall first. Main lead soon after he finds out…
This is not a pure romance drama. I am not really convinced that the writers meant for romance to be the main focus for these couples.
As both female leads were princesses, the drama takes a look at their lives when they left the palace due to a key event that took place in the palace.
They experienced many 'adventures' that will shape and change their lives forever. Along the way, they also found love
All five leads will be all right. The second couple is with the guy in dark clothes on the poster, they are also…
Welcomed. You will enjoy this drama. Just look at the number of comments in this forum. Pure evidence of the intense passion that this drama has generated in so many viewers
though you had killed my father. Hence, I have no need for this knife.
Time is often a good healer. You will feel less pain with the passage of time.
Also, when the time is right, promote one of your current list of friends to be your next best friend and build new memories
