Have you read the novel? It seems that people who did, who do not understand Chinese, could still figure things…
I stay on Dilraba's drama page, one drama at a time, don't go to other MDL drama pages to comment even if I do watch those dramas. My phone is with me all the time, so it is really not all the difficult to do what I have been doing.
Being active in many topics discussed here is due to the wide range of topics that intrigue me. I am what people might call, a jack of all trades, but master of none.
Don't worry about your joke. I am pretty good in reading between the lines and can tell when I am under some kind of personal attack, and yours was never a personal attack.
I usually do not read novels/source material, before watching a drama, because I want to be surprised by the drama. Also, as noted by many individuals, novels and dramas are different works of art; I am afraid that I might get fixated on the source material and dismayed by any adaptation that I may not like. Hence, I did the reverse for TLB, reading the manhua only after watching the drama, in order the understand the logic behind the scriptwriters, why they made the adaptations that they did. Hence, I will watch Legend of Anle first; whether I will read the novel after that will depend on whether I can find the time and whether the drama is well directed. If it well directed, the story will be clear and there will be no need to read the novel.
Yet, I have nothing but the deepest respect for all who read the novel/source material first. Lots of people I met on the pages of TLB and YAMG are novel readers. Variation in human behaviours makes the world interesting.
Subtitles are very important to me too; but probably not as important as they are to you, since I do not need to put the drama side by side and compare with the novel. I understand about 50% of the dialogues and Chinese subtitles and can connect the dots to make sense for the overal plot of TBW. But, like so many here, I am waiting for Eng subs to have complete understanding. Especially since I intend to hang around on this page for months and discuss things with people with the same intention.
Remember, one Dilraba drama at a time, so I really have plenty of time.
Dramamates.... Have you watched snippets of Chanyi's angst, Like I could not breathe, Raba did mention that Allen…
Have you read the novel? It seems that people who did, who do not understand Chinese, could still figure things out watching it raw. Enough to get by, till the official subs are out.
It wasn't my edit so idk where it came from but it looks like in this case they didn't accept a Baike linked edit.…
I agree with you. Don't know which source they used to make their decision. Really puzzling. The MDL volunteer just said send them a source, which I did, the one you gave. And still, they referred to something else. Totally puzzling.
It wasn't my edit so idk where it came from but it looks like in this case they didn't accept a Baike linked edit.…
Well, I submitted the Baike link, as did Titania. So, they very likely responded to our request. Xiao Shun Yao, Guo Xiao Ting's photos are up there now. Hu Yi Xuan, we should leave her up there. She has a few fans who do come to this page to support her and her role is quite important, as Ji Yunhe's constant companion and sidekick.
Fan Zhen and Ci Sha's roles are definitely more important than Wang Jun Hao's. But we have only space to make one change. I can write in again, and we ask them to remove Wang Jun Hao; but we need to choose between Fan Zhen and Ci Sha. No space for both to be up there.
Absolutely stunning and haunting MV OST; https://share.api.weibo.cn/share/293804345,4753021110583721.html?weibo_id=4753021110583721
It is a beautiful MV. Chase-Kayden, below, beat you to it. One thing about these MVs, they become even more touching and meaningful after we have watched the drama. The MV triggers our memory of those exact scenes in the drama, and we are once again touched by the music. The MV is like an emotion connector.
Looks like there's a new MV and there are some parts that are probably from Part 2.https://twitter.com/hoogmikyung2/status/1509353936326914053?s=20&t=Stx-0ixgMQXpHzMWRgjOlQ
Lovely MV. Same ending OST, but set against different scenes. You are right that some of those scenes could be from Part 2. This may well indicate that Part 2 will be shown in China soon.
After many days, they finally did something up in the Photos section. Important supporting cast members are up there now.
When we made the request for change, we did not ask for Wang Jun Hao's photo to be ask there. But his name did appear in that somewhat official Baike/Baidu article that listed the cast members. And his character does have decent screen time, although many of us likely feel that Fan Zhen, who plays San Yue, should be more deserving to be there. Her character is more central to the story line. And her acting is excellent.
Should we push for another change? Ask them to put Fan Zhen's photo up there, instead of Wang Jun Hao's. Hopefully I am not offending any of his fans here.
Why is this drama such a flop? Oath of Love, Legally Romance, Be My Princess can easily trending in this site…
Not sure why you said this drama is such a flop. DataWin Index, which tracks the popularity of dramas in China, the latest figure shows that TBW is the top historical drama. Across all drama categories, TBW is ranked 3rd. In terms of specific drama characters, for historical drama, the character played by Dilraba is ranked 2nd, and that played by Ren Jialun is ranked 3rd. Hence, whichever way you look at it, this drama is hardly a flop.
Zero noise for this drama? Are you referring to the 'noise' on this page? Despite the lack of official Eng subs, this page here still has plenty of noise. The number of people commenting here is proof of the noise. The number of people pushing back against your comment is another proof. So, we do not know what 'zero noise' you are talking about. You likely have a very unusual definition of noise.
As for Dilraba acting, if it is not for you, it is your preference. And to say that you see no improvement in her acting, that too is your subjective perception. Just as we have problem understanding your 'zero noise' comment, we also have problem understanding your perception of zero improvement in her acting. If her acting is that bad, her character in this drama should not be ranked 2nd in China and even slightly ahead of Ren Jialun's character, whose acting you love so much.
There are so many fans of Ren Jialun here on this page, but we can safely say that none of them share your view concerning Dilraba's acting skills.
Please do not watch this drama because of Ren Jialun. This is a romance drama involving his character and that played by Dilraba. Since you find the acting of Dilraba so terrible, please go watch something else. Watching Ren Jialun alone in this drama makes no sense, as this is a romance themed drama. This is not a drama about Ren Jialun loving himself. And no offense to BaiLu, but she is not in this drama. If you love watching Ren Jialun and Bailu so much, just wait for them to be in another drama.
If you wish to hang around on this page and engage us in meaningful debates, we most certainly welcome you to do that. On the other hand, If you just want to make some meaningless comments and offer subjective views, you are certainly entitled to, but we know your intentions, and will leave you alone. We will build a bubble around you, so that you will be completely alone. No one will interact with you.
That video where CY has a conversation with Shunde about Jun He, what are they saying? Can someone translate?…
That will be the 2nd tweet? Just give you the gist. Shunde told CY that he cannot kill her, since Yunhe is in her hand. CY said he does not care about Yunhe anymore since YH was not honest and even stabbed him and pushed him off the cliff; hence Shunde cannot use her as a 'shield' to prevent CY from killing her. Shunde does not believe him, said she is torturing YH and can skin her alive. CY said YH is his; no one can torture and kill her, except him. He was going to kill Shunde with his sword, but her assistant sacrifice his life for her.
Now we know why Dilraba wants to take a break after filming LOA. Filming TBW and LOA back to back must have tired her out. She has to wear all those wires for all the fight scenes, and then swing around back and forth, left and right, up and down. Take after take, just to get it right.
Nice. Now waiting for some interviews done by Allen, to hear from his perspective what it has been like playing…
Yes, it would be fun. Would like to hear how he feels about playing the innocent Changyi, before becoming Lord of the North. Those almost like two different characters.
Nice. Now waiting for some interviews done by Allen, to hear from his perspective what it has been like playing Changyi, his reaction acting opposite Dilraba.
