Nothing yet. More and more, we suspect that the agreement between Youku and Croton Media is that we will only get the English subs after Part 2 is completely screened in China. We do have official news that Part 2 will be screened on 4 April, meaning it will be over by around 28 April. So, we might be getting subs only toward end April.

But, lots of people here are in Twitter, looking out for official news every single day. Once we hear something, we will drop the news here.

Noted most of the comments and going to agree that lots of screen time was given to supporting characters. Let's wait for Part 2. I do feel in Part 2, going to be more about our two leads.

Yah, lots of people are waiting for the subs. Many of them do not want to rate, till they have watched the drama. Right now, very few have watched it raw, that is why we only see 200 plus raters.

As a non-novel reader, this is good to know. The director and scriptwriter are both very good. I did not think that they will ruin the original story.

No problem. I think quite a few are watching this raw, without subtitles. If you can speak Mandarin and can understand the Chinese subtitle, you do not even need to wait for the English subs. You are one of the lucky few.

Thanks for clarifying. I asked this question because on the MDL pages of The Long Ballad and You Are My Glory, we did have one or two individuals who are from China.

Yes, it is. All the very recent dramas, those just aired in the past few weeks, you will notice that all are maximum at 40 episodes. Yes, Cdramas used to be really long (and draggy). At 43 episodes, split into 2, TBW is very compact. It moves along rather smoothly, at just the right pace. Even those who did not read the novel should be able to follow without much difficulties.

The key issue for many people here is the lack of English Subtitles. Once the subs are here, a lot more people will come here to discuss.

But, obviously, those who have read the novel will find it easier to understand some of the plot lines. Non-novel readers who watch this 2-3 times with good subs should be able to reach the same level of understanding.

Just noticed that a few of you already wrote the review. Great! That, plus all the comments here, should indicate to passersby that 8.3 is under-rating this drama. This will encourage them to watch this great drama.

Nice ending to Part 1. They split the two parts rather nicely.

To get around episode limit, which is currently set at 40. Two parts combined has 43 episodes, hence they need to split.

Yes, these two women, they are truly made to hate each other so much. And their rivalry is just so fun to watch.

I did watch her comment concerning TBW. She has some nice things to say about the drama, and some negative stuff. But, we can totally ignore her comment. This is a great drama.

Seems that is our only choice. I did ask one of the MDL volunteers if they could combine Part 1 and Part 2 into a single page, she said no, because officially it is broken into 2 parts. Let me ask them again, since now know that the gap between the two is so short.
