Hours and hours of hard work!

Lots of us from the pages of TLB and YAMG are still here. We will wait, as long as it takes them to get us the official subs.

Oh yes! The amount of time that the fan subbers put into this, I must say, all those who watched those 3 episodes, they really do appreciate what the subbers have done. I watched just one episode, and I can tell they put in a lot of work. My hats off to them!! But, I think the fan subbers could be running out of time. It seems they just got to E3 and no further.

The intention all along, was to let us watch, while we wait for official subs. The fan subbers knew they never meant to replace the official subs. If they get no further than E3, no one will blame them.

I tried E1 for fansub. It is decent. But troublesome. First have to download the file. So, for the entire series of 40 plus episodes, lots of downloading to do. Secondly, the latest info that I have, they only sub it to E3.

Not ideal for people who want to hang around and discuss, as it will mean having to open and close the downloaded files. Using the official Croton Media Channel on YouTube will be much easier. And, it is also a way for us to support the cast, production team, etc.

That is correct. No one quite know the exact date when the subs will be out, because there has been no official news on this. Could be anything between 2 April, all the way to 22 April.

Yes, we are still for subs on legal site. Watching raw on unofficial sites is merely to pass time. Still many things we do not understand, all the fine details, so for sure, we are still waiting.

To all fans of Allen, you should not be to discouraged with his lack of screen time. This is the way they have decided to tell the story. The two lead's time interspersed with screen time for supporting cast. Up to the latest episode, even though I did not read the novel, I can see where the plot is heading toward. There are lots of side relationships in this drama, but the core relationship remains the one between Ji Yunhe and Changyi.

Each of our two leads took turns to shine. Maybe Ji Yunhe shined first, but by E18, Changyi already has more screen time than Ji Yunhe, and is starting to make his presence felt.

Just enjoy the ride.

I think soon, Changyi is going to get more and more screen. It is just the way they are unfolding or unpacking this drama.

I affirm Lulu's answer. Nothing. Searched Twitter and Weibo everyday, for any news on Eng sub, but there is no news. But, on behalf of those watching it raw, the series is great. Worth our wait.

The actor who played Lin Haoqing, he did an excellent job. That is why the character has so much screen time.

Haha. Could be. But Ji Yunhe has two things in her. The fox spirit, which makes her really powerful. And that ability to resist the poison. In addition to these, she has that pearl that Changyi gave her. If the strength of all these combined elements become part of her DNA, she can have strong genes too.

Sometimes very hard to predict. Just like humans. Can only tell which of the two parents have stronger genes by looking at the kids.

It will be interesting to see if the author writes a sequel to this novel. If she does, we can see how she interprets things. I am also curious how their babies will look like.

Depends on who has a stronger gene. If Ji Yunhe has very strong gene, their babies will have those 9 tails which could be under their complete control. Use only when necessary.

If Changyi has stronger genes, their children will have fish tails, great swimmers. If both their genes are equally strong, maybe half of their babies will have fox tails and half fish tail.

Did I miss something? I did not see any episode that shows him having retractable tail. I mean the actual act of him retracting his tail.

I do not know how it was done in the novel, but I do like the drama version. He cut off his tail in order to save Ji Yunhe, knowing that he might never ever be able to return to the sea. Shows how much he treasured her. Her life was more important than his own future.

Yes, those of us who can handle Mandarin and Chinese, we will have finished watching all of Part 1 raw by this week. We then wait for the Eng sub on Croton Mega Hit, watch it again, and then join more and more people in discussing this amazing drama.

Watching clips and some other dramas/movies is a very good way to pass time, while waiting for subs. With each passing day, our wait is shorter by a day. Lots of people are in Weibo and Twitter. Once they hear of good news regarding the English subs, you can be sure that they will bring it here.
