Through episode 6 I am really enjoying iQIYI’s WATCH YOUR BACK. The cast is wonderful. I thought the actress playing Captain Hua (Guo Ke Yu) looked familiar and then it hit me. Guo Ke Yu played the mom in last years excellent crime drama from iQIYI LOST IN THE SHADOWS. Talk about two different roles.

I will definitely be keeping an eye out for this drama. Since this a Youku-TVB collaboration can I assume the story will take place in Hong Kong? Cantonese option please?
Last year I enjoyed Tencent’s Hong Kong based drama SEE HER AGAIN.

No Viki US for this. 😢

Through episode one. I will continue. Too early but I wonder if we are getting set up for a THE FIRST SHOT (2024) Johnny Huang/Wang Zi Qi type bromance with our MLs Dean Liu and Luo Ming Jie? In both dramas the police specialist relocates to the place of our story and moves in with the Chief detective.

Now that MBC/Kocowa did the right thing and made UNDERCOVER HIGH SCHOOL available to Viki US, UNDERCOVER is now on my ‘planning to watch’ list.

Also Netflix US.

I will keep an eye out for this addition to iQIYI’s ‘Light On Series’.

I will be keeping an eye out for iQIYI’s STEALING TIME/YELLOW SPARROW.

On Viki US’s “Coming Soon” list now. The episodes will be available in 9 days. Go figure.

US viewers. LIES NEVER LIE is now available subbed on Tencent Video.

That scenario makes sense.

Wouldn’t his rightful place be King? He was Crown Prince when his father the King was murdered by poison. I think Prince Mu Yeong intends to restore his cousin to the throne. Just speculation.

Wasn’t that actress Go Doo Shim (THE ATYPICAL FAMILY) as the Head Merchant arriving back at the Inn with Lady Seol?

It is annoying as a US viewer with a Youku VIP subscription account to not have access to UNDER THE MOONLIGHT. The message I get: on my laptop: “This video has been blocked, please choose another video to watch.”

As a US Youku paid subscriber (who chooses not to patronize the dark side) it is annoying not to have access to this drama subbed legally.

FYI. Guo Jing Fei’s Tencent drama SMALL POLICE STATION doesn’t appear to be available subbed in English. I checked the Tencent Video app today on my IPad and SPS doesn’t even appear. There is a ten episode playlist available on Tencent’s Youtube Channel but contrary to the header those episodes are not English subbed.
HOWEVER,
Guo Jing Fei’s iQIYI Light On Series crime drama DRIFTING AWAY (14 eps) which started airing yesterday Jan. 17 is available subbed in English at iQIYI.

Thanks. Just as an aside. As a US viewer I would definitely subscribe to Viu if it was available to me.
