I just started THE FIRST SHOT and love the first 5 episodes.
Can someone clarify for me the literal title of this drama. Is it SNOW MAZE? (Like what appears at the end of each episode.) If it is SNOW MAZE why not just go with that?

It would have been nice if MBC had licensed BLACK OUT to Viki.

Now hopefully as a US viewer, the next step after Kocowa will be for DOUBT to appear on Viki US’s “Coming Soon” list. 5 days from episode one and it is still not listed at Viki US. (Nor Netflix US for that matter).

Over the years Viki has licensed many Channel A dramas such as the recent CINDERELLA AT 2AM so I am hopeful that MARRY YOU will appear on Viki’s “Coming Soon” list.

Thanks. Paramount+ is a no go for me so I guess it will pass me by.

As a US viewer will I wind up being a STRANGER to DONG JAE? TVING doesn’t seem to be in a rush to make this drama legally available to me.

BREWING LOVE is a great title improvement imho over the original title: DRUNKEN ROMANCE. Now I hope it becomes available on a legal stream in the US.

Episode 4 was a public service announcement on how NOT to respond to unwanted text messages. Mom was correct. The request for a transfer made by Joo-won made him look immature.
Joo-won’s former teammates Jang-hee and Ye-young are really getting annoying. It was good to see bro Si-won’s wife appear on the scene and the introduction of the mysterious painter. Maybe the annoying two former teammates will have a less prominent part in the story as it goes forward.

I don’t go dark so as a US viewer QUEEN WOO will be a pass along with BLACK OUT.

I am still doubtful that TVING’s QUEEN WOO will be streaming on Paramount+. This Paramount+ release on “What’s New on Paramount+ in August” does NOT include QUEEN WOO in its listings:

Lovely mini-series. I just finished it on Netflix. I have enjoyed Kim Myung-soo (L)’s dramas over the years most recently as a catch up his SECRET ROYAL AGENT (2020/21) on Amazon Prime and earlier this year DARE TO LOVE ME on Viki.

No english subs on that link unfortunately.

MBC it is already August 16 in Seoul. What’s the story? Are you licensing Black Out to international streaming or not?

Late to the game. Just finished my first watch of ROYAL SECRET AGENT on Viki and loved Kim Myung-soo’s, Kwon Na Ra’s and Li Yi-kyung’s performances.

Done. I guess it won’t hurt.

I am waiting for an official announcement from MBC to who and where BLACK OUT will be licensed. I don’t trust the information below re BLACK OUT streaming on Hulu.
If anything it would be first licensed to Disney+ (unavailable in the US) and then (maybe) Disney+ would add it to Hulu (available in the US).

I am still hoping MBC will release BLACK OUT to Kocowa and then on to Viki. Fingers crossed.

Joon-ho’s scene early in episode 13 in the storage room explaining the village ‘facts of life’ to Yoon-bok may have been the best few minutes of the drama. Well done Park Eun-seok!
