The Canto version is subbed in English at the YouTube Channel: Kukan Drama Channel. I paid US 2.99 for a monthly subscription to watch all 18 episodes.
All 18 episodes are now available subbed in English at Viki US. I have not watched on Viki so I don’t know what version it is carrying.

That is my understanding.

Sorry to say but I had high hopes For BLACK AND WHITE FOREST especially with the wonderful Ning Li in a ML role but I am pulling the ripcord after 9 episodes. I could not sit through another 19 episodes of what I watched in episode 9. Not enough cops and crime and too much family and business drama.

Overall Tencent’s SEE HER AGAIN was an enjoyable viewing experience. It was my first William Chan drama and he gave a terrific performance. Since the story was Hong Kong cops/crime watching the Canto version on Kukan made it more enjoyable.

English subbed BLACK AND WHITE FOREST episodes1-6 are available on Tencent Video channel on Youtube. US viewer and I have a VIP Tencent Video subscription but I hope all the episodes will eventually be available on Tencent Video on Youtube. Watching on aTV is a better watching experience for me than on a laptop or having to run a cable from my laptop to the TV.

Back in September I watched Youku’s excellent crime drama THE FIRST SHOT. For some reason Youku only released 19 of 32 episodes to the Youku Channel on Youtube. I also have a Youku VIP subscription but I had to run a cable from my laptop to the TV to watch the final 13 episodes on the big screen.

I am still annoyed that the ‘other’ current Channel A drama MARRY YOU was licensed to Kocowa rather than Viki which like CHECK IN HANYANG Viki over there years has licensed many Channel A dramas with CINDERELLA AT 2AM a 2024 example.

I subscribed to the Youtube channel Kuken Drama English ⬆️ a few weeks ago to watch the subbed Canto version of Tencent’s SEE HER AGAIN. The first few episodes of SHA were available free but then you needed to subscribe US 2.99/ month to watch the Members versions.
Yesterday when I went to Kuken on Youtube to watch the final two episodes of SEE HER AGAIN I was surprised to see the Thai drama LAW-LESS. I ran episode one for a few minutes and there are English subs. I just checked and right now LAW-LESS through episode 5 is available free at Kuken Drama English on Youtube. I would be interested to see if at some point you need to pay the subscription to watch the episodes.

US viewer with VIP Tencent Video subscription here. If Tencent's BLACK AND WHITE FOREST is scheduled to air on Dec. 4 why is it not on Tencent Video's "Coming Soon" list?
When I search for Ning Li the results are: JOL2, RIPE TOWN, EBOLA FIGHTERS and THE LEGEND OF XIAO CHUO.

Now on Viki US’s “Coming Soon” list with all 16 episodes available in 17 days which would be Dec. 17 or 18 depending on how you count.

I made a paid subscription to Kukan through Youtube. It is considered a Youtube purchase. I got an email confirmation from Youtube.
One way to try is go to a episode of SEE HER AGAIN on KUKAN Drama English that says ‘Member Ver.’ on the top. When you open that up you will be given a link to click on to pay to become a member at $2.99/month.
It is listed under my Youtube ‘purchases’ (my only one lol). It appears I can cancel at anytime.

I decided last night to suck it up and subscribe on Youtube to the KUKAN DRAMA ENGLISH channel for $2.99/ month to watch SEE HER AGAIN with Cantonese spoken. It makes a more enjoyable viewing experience for me. Episodes 4 and 5 were available last night and this morning episodes 6 and 7 became available so I will be watching them tonight.

Thanks for the good news. I just checked and the 2024 KBS DRAMA SPECIAL is now on Viki US’ “Coming Soon” list. It says there that episode one.will be available in 11 days so I guess that makes it Dec. 2 or 3.
I already watched episode one on Kocowa’s 24 hour freeby option. Tang Joon-sang and Nam Da-reum were wonderful together in THE HISTORY OF US.

I can recognize the difference. My first visit to Asia was in 2015 to Hong Kong. My introduction to any kind of Asian dramas was In 2016 to TVB Hong Kong cop shows LIVES OF OMISSION and HIGHS AND LOWS. So if I am watching a cops/crime/mystery drama taking place in Hong Kong I would prefer hearing the local language/dialect which is Cantonese.

I don’t know if it is ‘inspired’ from TUNNEL but I definitely got TUNNEL vibes in the early episodes. William CHAN’s character Detective Yang Guang Yao and Choi Jin-hyuk’s (TUNNEL) character Detective Park Gwang-ho are definitely cut from the same cloth and would make great partners LOL. They definitely think alike. Both early on had to be warned that roughing up suspects was not acceptable now in the modern enlightened time they have found themselves in.
