Amidst the antics and nonsense between the various characters is buried a romance between Tul and Meen and it seems that Tul is the one moving it along. The description says Tul is suffering from depression but whenever we see him, there's always a smile on his face; he appears to be far from depressed. Things aren't helped by the terrible subtitles either. I'm relieved this series has half the normal number of episodes.
I like this series, but I love BL fluff, and do not care for angst. I don't know if Mud is still with Ploy and…
Regarding Long, this is the 'softest' I've seen him in any role so far and carrying it off nicely. Usually he plays a tough guy or else sort of dominates his boyfriend. It is a pity, though, that Mild's character plays hard to get for so long, asks ridiculous questions and verges on being insipid.
It is clear that Chi Cheng no longer loves Wang Shuo. Before, he couldn't say it; now, he can. Wang Shuo, because of how he behaved in the past, deserves his fate as the rejected lover. At least he was compensated with Green Eyed Monster. The situation between Chi Cheng and Wu Sou Wei, however, is not so straightforward. CC lied to WSW when he said he never loved him and now that he's free of WS, he's free to love WSW without restraint, but as he also just found out the motives that drew WSW to him and WSW saying he's straight and is considering getting together again with that manipulative, lying, gold digger, Yue Yue, is him thinking that's the best path forward to appease his mother (who wants a grandchild but will probably die very soon) even though she's not keen on her, as she told Chi Cheng. It is the mother, who through her sudden admission to the hospital, causes WSW to rush there, then most likely CC turns up after his arrival and inadvertently brings CC and WSW back together, for deep down, they both really love each other.
This is a likeable but odd series in which the editing and the subtitles require improvement to make it more understandable and for the story to flow better.
This is nothing like ' My Gear and Your Gown' (2020) - which I watched twice - even though it's based on the same novels. It is also more complicated and chaotic. So many of these boys are dumping girls for boys. The girls should realise they don't stand a chance of winning them back, for once a boy turns his attention from girls to boys, that's it - there's no turning back.
There are three couples. The first, Knight and Mild, is a bit like a panther (Knight) trying to date a rabbit (Mild, who is as timid and hesitant as his name suggests). The next couple, Per and Kan, are a lot more fun. This pair (Mon and Pak) were recently seen together in the underwhelming mini series, 'Mission to the Moon'. Here, they are a lot more feisty, exhibiting great chemistry together, with Per stealing the screen with his adorable antics. Tum and Klah aren't really a couple, they're best friends, and Tum has a girlfriend who I don't think we've seen yet. At the end of Ep. 3, they quarrel and Klah walks off in a tiff. I'm sure they'll soon make up and things will return to normal for them. I'm finding it all rather silly sometimes, but overall it's most enjoyable.
Nut, Ping, Pop and Lee were all in Pit Babe, now here they are in a historical comedy/drama playing a diverse range of characters that are a world apart from their previous roles, and I must say, they seem to be revelling in the campness of it all. It's fun and quite chaotic, not the usual tone for a period piece, but it works a treat.
An undisputed masterpiece of BL storytelling that fulfils all my romantic fantasies. Honestly, there's nothing in the entire production that I can criticise and the movie-length final episode brought it all to a perfect close. The sets, the costumes, the music, the acting, the cinematography, the direction - all chef's kiss. I shall treasure this series.
This series did little for me. Production wise, the best thing about it was the music soundtrack which reflected what was happening with agility and sensitivity.
By the time we get to Ep. 3, it can be classified as soft porn in which we see one boy fucking another boy. He leaves. The end. It's not something we've not seen in more mainstream BL series. The boys are cute. A second miniseries is forthcoming.
The concept of this show is fine but its execution is poor. The editing is shoddy, the subs need improvement, the talking dog is barely audible and not well integrated, the writing leaves something to be desired and a few scenes and characters seem to be unnecessary. It could be so much better.
I just watched the first four episodes and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of this new Filipino drama from Oxin Films, in my opinion, the best production I've seen from them. It has a strong, original storyline, set in the world of sardine fishing. The cast is excellent, full of attractive boys, and they're a horny lot to be sure. Not to be missed.
Loved this episode a lot and almost couldn't stop laughing. CEO Tada made me feel like I slept and woke up on…
Here's a shoutout for the guy dressing Tada (Peterpan) whose array of suits and ties are simply stunning, sartorially splendid. Combined with his exceptionally handsome looks, one would expect to see him on the cover of prestige fashion magazines.
