god it's so sickening for me to read, that's why I could never get into both Yan Lin and Xie Wei. Some things just can't be erased or forgiven. Bravo to the author for making not one but two rapist MLs and romanticizing the hell out of both of them.

You're right to feel that something was off in how they ended things and that's because it was completely and utterly changed from the novel and the way the drama did it really messed up JXN's characterization.
