i kinda like it bc its showng what emotions the music inspires. if it was just music its hard to understand the impact

look I like Yang Chou Yue but she absolutely does not have the acting chops or gravitas to pull off the kind of complexity of this character, especially the tortured feelings and cold heart of the FL as she meticulously gets revenge. a role like that is mad for WJY, who excels in such roles ever since yanxi palace

honestly i was worried the quality wud go down but so far it's kept up and the tension is still building, i am impressed

she was probably married very young, 14-16 as most girls in those times were married at that age. if she's 19 now, that's still 4-5 ish years of marriage

its already beat out KP for me bc JXN was such a disappointment in terms of her cunningness. This here is a FL that knows how to scheme, she's giving ming lan level quiet schemer, and I'm here for it

yup, i love love that she learned under her grandpa and travelled the world and has a bright mind + courage to boot. her gramps said it was a pity she wasn't a boy bc she could have made so many accomplishments if she had been, and this sort of talent in women is usually not seen, or if seen, usually not allowed to shine. so these circumstances, desperate as they are, at least gave her a chance to develop and show her skills, which I love. She feels like a fully grounded character, who wuda thought.
